Another popular fantasy many have when thinking of psychic powers is mind control abilities, either on a small or large scale. The power of mind control implies that a Scion has the power to influence or change the active or future thoughts of another individual using psionic waves directly. Like many other small projects of studies, the mind-control study simply had Scryers searching the earth for anyone who self-proclaimed to have mind-control abilities, and even examined many instances of “hypnosis,” as it appeared similar. There were zero demonstrations found for those who claim to have mind control powers, giving the idea that an ability so easy to prove true or false was recognizable by those who falsely accuse themselves of psychic powers. With regards to hypnosis, it was determined that the mind can easily be influenced by factors other than psionic waves, but not directly controlled. Even with the other factor of perceptual manipulation being introduced through the process of a psionic purge, the same conclusion was made; that perceptual manipulation only influences, not controls.
