Clairvoyance is one of the most interesting abilities ever to be studied by the AVPSI, and most ordinary humans seem to have a fair understanding of what this power entails at the same time. While Clairvoyance is not the easiest power to use by an active Scion, it does turn out to be the most common ability observed and demonstrated to date. Every single Scion of the AVPSI, (all Altiri) have clairvoyance of varying styles, all of which are and have been successfully demonstrated. Before those details are revealed, the general idea of Clairvoyance should be cited first. Clairvoyance is the psionic power in which one can easily determine information (related to sight and vision) of another living target – usually in a third person 360o aerial view form the target’s observable perspective. Also known as remote viewing, the person performing the clairvoyance can learn lots of information about their target in ways that make it quite easy to discern whether information obtained is accurate and true - by simple deliberations and sometimes interaction with that target. Not much is involved in the process; only the Scion, their ability, and their target. Before getting into the cited examples of Clairvoyance, there are different variations also observed or theorized to exist that must first be broken down. The first and easiest variation is simple clairvoyance. In simple clairvoyance, the scion learns visual information only about their target. Whatever noise or sound may be present in the area will be undetectable using this ability. The second variation is advanced clairvoyance, which is also known by all Altiri as dual-clairvoyance. In dual-clairvoyance, the Scion can combine their ability of Clairvoyance and Clairaudience at the same time in the same projection, enabling them to study the observable sights and sounds of a specific target. While this type of clairvoyance seems absent from other humans, all Altiri from the AVPSI possess advanced clairvoyance rather than simple clairvoyance naturally, and use it without any issue. Because of this, it is also up to these individuals to help collect additional data on other individuals around the world using this very power. The next variation or factor going into Clairvoyance is the range. Normally, clairvoyant abilities should not have any range limits at all. According to the laws of psionic set out by Herios, psionic energy waves travel immediately and endlessly. By that theory, there should not be a noticeable difference between short-range clairvoyance and long-range clairvoyance, yet there is. As long as a location and target is known (location being based on a place in which that Scion knows how to reach in direction sense) then their clairvoyant power can pick them up from the other side of the entire universe without issue. In fact, the weaker clairvoyants who have demonstrated their ability also seem to prove this point by automatically having no range issue. However, many Altiri who have taken part in the purge experiments by sending a purge have mysteriously traded out their long-range clairvoyant powers for short-range clairvoyance. To date, the AVPSI is not sure why this happens or what it means regarding the properties of psionic waves related to clairvoyance. The leading theory is that the ability of clairvoyance and the ability to send a purge are very closely linked, and that sending a purge greatly (but not entirely) atrophies that person’s power of clairvoyance, weakening the sense entirely. When clairvoyance is used with weaker signals, the range of that clairvoyance is greatly reduced to a more immediate area despite its potential sensitivity remaining strong. All Altiri who have taken part in a purge can only use the short-range clairvoyance. The matter itself including the full explanations for why this happens is still not known to the AVPSI. Current investigations to the reason have shifted into involvement with the Psi-Fields, in that long-range clairvoyance relies on a more potent projection power to connect to weaker or more distant subconscious Psi-Fields to ascertain such data. A sub-category of variation in any clairvoyant power to consider is also the reference of time. There can only be three: historical-clairvoyance, present-clairvoyance, and future-clairvoyance. In present-clairvoyance, the Scion using the ability learns information about their target in real time as it is currently happening. They have no ability to see events of the past or future. In future-clairvoyance, the ability works in the same way, except the information learned is what will happen in the foreseeable future. The location and target chosen must be present at some point in time of that future, or else there will be no return data to the node. Additionally, the length of this time extension seems to be limited (even among Altiri) to a duration of 18 hours. Interestingly enough, the Altiri can only use present-clairvoyance, with a majority of future-clairvoyance being observed in other humans - or those who are the purged experiments. This factor allows a clairvoyant to see into the future by up to 18 hours ahead of time, and thus learn even more information than an ordinary present-clairvoyant can learn. The difference is, a future-clairvoyant cannot see in exact real time what is happening to their target, which is interesting on its own preface. As for historical-clairvoyance, the ability to see into the past, the AVPSI currently has not seen any demonstrated evidence to this particular variation of clairvoyance, despite its mention over time. With all of these variations brought to the foreground, the properties of clairvoyance can allow for the AVPSI to determine and analyze more data of their observations in others with the ability, including the frequent investigations into other humans around the world who self-proclaim to have the same kind of power. With real clairvoyants working for them, using a clairvoyant to find another clairvoyant should be easy. The first place to learn about clairvoyants was from within the AVPSI’s own group. Part of what started the research was proven demonstration of abilities such as this one in the Scions and Altiri that are part of the grand investigation. The first aspect of the reports are grouped into the categories of most unfavorable cases of evidence versus the most convincing. Starting from the most misleading, the AVPSI focused gradually on examining lots of human beings who self-proclaimed to have Clairvoyant powers. Based on the law of psionics and thermal energy, it was easy to debunk or discredit people in rapid succession. There were plenty of other debunking methods that occurred as well. It was not long before a few interesting cases came into the reports, such as humans who demonstrated a low-level of natural clairvoyance (usually in future-clairvoyance), and would sometimes use it to their advantage. Over time, human subjects that demonstrated real powers were studied further. There were a lot more false positives than true positives, but the fact that there were positives at all was an exciting discovery for the AVPSI, and partly what led them to believe that clairvoyance is the most common ability among those who may have psionic tendencies. Among the other people of the world to study, there were also the purged experiments. Humans who are purged by Altiri are forcibly given the ability of telepathy and learn how to use that power subconsciously, though they can more consciously understand how to invoke it as time progresses following that purge. However, while the purge only trains a human to use that one ability, having learned one psionic power makes it exponentially easier and faster to learn smaller psionic abilities that are similar in nature, namely clairvoyance. Because of this, some of the experiments including #24 wanted to learn how to invoke clairvoyance out of interest from their primary nodes who purged them in the first place. The AVPSI previously estimated that without prior knowledge or direct successful involvement in the use of a psionic ability, teaching somebody clairvoyance specifically could take around 19 years if the training is strict enough. Having witnessed several purged experiments learning clairvoyance gave more data for the AVPSI. The first obvious mention is that an active scion with learned psionic abilities can more easily learn new ones. The second was that this presence of simple clairvoyance learnable by the purged subjects was also a mechanism of potential proof of their own abilities to others if used properly. It also showed that of the learnable ability pool, only simple clairvoyance variations were prominent; the subjects did not seem to have the available energy capacity to learn or use both clairvoyance and clairaudience at the same time. On top of this, the difference in energy strain to the purged subjects compared to the Altiri was easy to spot. They dehydrated quickly and easy with each ability usage, and on average could use their ability no more than three times in a single day, two if in the same hour. The use of purged experiments provided the most promising sample data the AVPSI was interested in. Among them all, #24 gets mentioned again, not because he was more special than the other experiments, but because he - being the most recent and most popular (due to the SM10 incident) made the availability of his specific data easier to obtain than the sealed information on the other subjects. While this is already mentioned in the subject reports of #24, his journey to use clairvoyance was an interesting one that likely happened to others as well. #24 learned how to use simple future-clairvoyance with assistance of SM, for a brief time during his peak period, and began to master the ability with each usage. Even with this in place, #24 had not figured out or discovered a massive way to prove this power to others. With the required energy usage combined with a personal disdain of ruining the surprise of each passing day, among other personal reasons, #24 gave this ability a long break. Despite warnings that he might lose that power permanently if he quits practicing it for too long, #24 fell into this trap anyway. Needless to say, plenty of information has been collected about clairvoyance, information which was only consolidated from direct studies and research authorized by the AVPSI, and thus excluding any “human written articles,” which are difficult if not impossible to prove.
