The AVPSI is comprised of several individuals with access to special equipment and Altiri research facilities, most of which orbit the world of Karnak. These research stations provide top-of-the-line facilities for conducting psionic experiments and expanding on existing ideas. There are several bodies of people involved in the chain of command for conduction and approval for all projects. LQQ oversees the resource management and risk analysis of all projects related to the research of psionics. Despite access to advanced equipment, the current level of resources and funding is quite low. In addition to this, the exposure of certain information about the project, most specifically personal informationof individuals involved has been considered to be dangerous. For these reasons, LQQ determines what is approved for study (based on projects), how it can be studied, and what information if any is allowed to be traded. However, it is the collective interest of the AVPSI to determine what projects of interest will be conducted, and what conclusions can be made from them. Node 0 of the AVPSI, (now referred to as Node 0 or SM) is currently the strongest Scion (a person with strong psionic powers), and is to some degree leading a small amount of the projects for external data collection and complex analysis. SM is an adult female who was born with these powers, and in addition has a family of sisters who in effect also have much of the same abilities. These sisters will be referred to in collective as SM10. However, SM was not actually the initial founder or builder of this field of study. Reference to this initial interest is traced back to an aspiring scientist (referred to as Herios), who came up with many building blocks that helped bring life into this field. Finally, there are the experiments, otherwise known as experiments of the purge. In short, an experiment # referred to an individual outside of the AVPSI is the target of an experimental Purge process ~ to attempt transparting some abilities from a Scion to that individual for further study and data collection.
