With exams over and me being able to answer some of the questions thanks to Roy and Caleb, we all sat in class anxious for our results.
Actually, I was the only one anxious. Everyone else was just noisy.
"Hey, I'm sure you did great!" Olivia encouraged.
It was then that Mr.Karl walked in with the papers in his hands. He glanced around the room before he gave a sigh.
"Here are your Math papers." He said as he began handing out the papers one by one. Sure enough, Caleb and Roy got everything right! I mean they taught me!
"Roy, you got... sixty-five percent." Mr.Karl said as he handed the Math paper to Roy.
"What?!" I blurted out surprised.
"Ha! I guess you lost Roy!" Caleb shouted and Roy glared at him.
"Hey, the ever serious boy got sixty-five!" Someone said and soon was followed by laughter.
"Hey! Don't be stupid! He did his best! I am sure!" I got up and yelled and everyone immediately quiets down. Feeling embarrassed I sat down I swear, I saw Roy smile.
Apparently, Caleb had scored sixty Soon my paper was handed to me and I glanced at the marks.
"Yes!!!" I screamed joyously.
"Did you get a hundred?" Olivia turned to me with a look of curiosity on her face and I smiled. I did it! My hard work wasn't for nothing!
"Oh, Emma! I never doubted you once! I wasn't even preparing for a vacation to cheer you up when you fail! I am so happy! I knew that you were always smart!!" Olivia embraced me tightly.
"Thanks, Olivia! I am happy too, I am sure, Mom, would I allow myself to go to the workshop! I got twenty percent!!" I exclaimed and for a second there I say her face completely drop.
"You got twenty percent and you are happy? How is that an improvement?! That means you got four questions right! How is that different from last time?" Olivia scolded.
"Last time, I got three right! I improved! You know what they say, getting one more is improving!" I argued back.
"No one says that!"
"Really? I am sure I must have heard it somewhere!"
"Gosh, You are hopeless!" Olivia said before focusing on her own paper. She was the highest in class with eighty percent. Sometimes I felt that my best friend had more talents than she says to be. I was proud of her.
The bell rang and it was time for break time. I immediately approached Roy.
"Roy! I did it!" I said flaunting my papers on his face.
"You silly girl! That's not even close to improving! You Can't just improve in three days!"
"Hey, so mean! Can't you even praise me a little?" I said pouting my lips somehow coquettishly.
"He looked at me silently then stood up. He patted my head and said. "Well done stupid." He walked away.
"Hey! Adding stupid doesn't make it a compliment!" I yelled after shaping back to reality. My face was red and somehow the place he patted felt warm.
"Wow, you really do love your brother!" Olivia walked towards me.
"W-what?! Actually...there is something I have to tell you...Roy is actually not--"
"Hey, so you did get twenty!" Caleb interrupted from nowhere."You did well!" he said with a smile on his face.
"Really?! You think so?" I asked him feeling excited.
"Yup! We should celebrate!" Caleb suggested.
"The arcade?" I asked
"The arcade!"
"There is seriously something wrong with both of you!" Olivia said before leaving the two of us who were busy choosing what game we would play hours from now.
