"So how was your trip? Did you have fun," me and Ty both glanced at each other wondering exactly how much would be left out the equation, Ty gazed back at dad before recalling his story of events Ty exaggerated a little obviously knowing dad would get uncomfortable so dad being dad simply dropped it.

"Well it sure is good to have you back he replied," I could see how tired dad was so I offered to do the washing up so dad could get an early night he complied, before he went up he handed me a little black pouch, I opened it up to find a plaque bracelet, I looked at it in complete awe, it was beautifully crafted, as I looked closer it was also engraved the beautiful cursive writing said the words, "To my darling Gracie, I will forever be proud of you," I glanced up through hooded glazed eyes to see my dad welling up too, I snuggled into him thanking him for everything he has done for me before he wished us a good night before going to bed.

Returning to the sink I gathered all the plates emptying the remainder of the food in the bin.

Arms draped over my shoulder, the recognisable smell of my brother's aftershave drifted past me, "So did you really have a good time is? I turned round to hug him as I nodded excitedly.

" I had an amazing time Ty, thanks for everything."

Ty hugged me tighter, kissing my forehead, "You don't have to thank me, sis, you deserved a great birthday, btw Cal is going to text you later he kinda told me that he told you how he feels, he thinks he might of put you off."

I chuckled, "No he ain't put me off he's had me thinking about it all day I even spoke to Tyler about it, oh btw just to warn you Tyler has a crush on ya bro" Tyler didn't say a word I looked up to see him contemplating what I said, I punched his arm, he grabbed it huffing at me.

"Seriously bro what's your malfunction, you have spent the weekend slogging his sister now you got that I'd bang him look going on," he gave me that ouch you hurt my feelings look but I wasn't having any of it I tapped my foot impatiently at him.

"What? I've decided it's time to explore sis I've spent too long hiding my sexuality because of my teammates etc maybe its to test that side out, Tyler is buff, Jay doesn't want a relationship anyway she said when she leaves school she wants to travel," I smiled even though they liked each other I knew she never wanted anything she has always been the same.

"Well bro let's put it like this you like you keep telling me to be happy, he hugged me again, whis0ering in my ear, " Be happy too sis choose wisely." Kissing my head once more he walked out the kitchen blowing me kisses walking up the stairs, god he's so weird, I giggled to myself.

Laying down in bed after I cleaned thoroughly I reached for my phone of the dresser and Ty was right I had a text opening it with a shaky head I smiled.

"Hey princess it's Cal just wanted to say thanks for letting me be a part of your birthday celebration I had a great time see you in school love Cal." quickly wiping my sweaty fingertips on my duvet cover I replied: "No thank you for letting us stay at the cabin I loved it there, my birthday wouldn't have been so great if you all weren't there," I laid the phone down on my chest looking up at the ceiling contemplating on everything Cal said that day it really was a great birthday.....I jumped startling myself as my phone beeped picking it up taking a deep breath readying myself to read it.

"I'm so glad you loved it I just wanted the perfect location for you to spend it in, look about what I said in the bedroom I apologise, Rea, I probably went too far, hell you might not even feel that way, but obviously I can't take it back now, just hoping we might get to know each other better?" Breath Rea, what in gods name do I reply to that my hands are sweaty again, I feel like I'm choking on my heart right now, he wants to know me better, omg pinch me, yeah that's right it's just a dream I'm gonna wake up in a minute. 

Fiddling with my fingers I contemplate not replying but I can't shit why can't my life be simple oh that's right I'm me and I am never simple.

My hands start trembling as I type up a reply, "Yes" I hit send hand palming myself, nice one Rea now he's gonna think you can't even come up with a damn sentence could I be anymore ridiculous right now....oh shit ill find out now I open up to see he's basically laughing at me, "Looooool, is someone shy right now? That was a very short, blunt response Rea, how about I come to pick you up tomorrow head to a seaside or something?"

I quickly responded not wanting to sound shy I typed more this time, 'That sounds fun we can make a day of it, I'll tell Ty, btw I'm not shy lol," I threw the phone down on the bed leaning over to pull out a snicker from my bedside table...buzz buzz I picked up the phone ripping the wrapper off between my teeth taking a bite of my chocolate bar.

"I was kinda hoping it could be just us maybe, like a erm a date maybe, I think it could be good for us to get to know each other on a one to one but if you don't wanna I'll understand Rea."

Well I wasn't expecting that, I also wasn't expecting to half choke to death I banged my chest so hard the piece of snicker hit the wall, what do I do? What do I say I jump off my bed running out my bedroom door straight to Ty's room he looked up startled.

"Rea, you ok?" I throw the phone at him gesturing him to look.

"Well...what you waiting for? Say yes already!' before I could take the phone back off Ty he had already answered.

Now I'm totally buggered I'm going on a date with none other than Cal bloody Foster.
