Episode 4 Continued - Make it Mine
I stood up from my seat, glaring at Sebastian. “What are you talking about? How dare you speak to me that way?!”
He just smiled. “My, my, did I touch a nerve?”
“I did not succumb to you!” I yelled to him, pointing at him accusingly. “You are my butler, I am your master!”
Sebastian just kept the smile. “My lord… didn’t you let me hug you this morning?”
I froze.
“And you let me carry you home when you were tired,” he continued. “You let me kiss you in order to heal you. You ask me to stay in the room every night while you fall asleep. And let’s not forget…” his eyes glowed dangerously, “you signed the contract with me in the first place.”
I just breathed shakily, clenching my fists. “You disgust me.”
“Do you really believe that?” He opened his lashes.
No.
“Why are you doing this?” I said then, breath shaking as I glared sharply. “Are you trying to get me to cave so I’ll give you my soul? You are a monster! I will not give in! I signed this contract with you in the first place and my wish was clear! I want my revenge and that’s final!”
Sebastian stared at me in shock then, and he blinked as I huffed angrily.
But a small smile formed on his lips, and he just watched me in amusement. “I know, my lord.”
“Then what’s all this talk about?!” I demanded. “To get me to give you my soul sooner? I am not those women you seduce to get information out from their moaning lips!”
Sebastian just smiled. “Quite a description, my lord.”
“Shut up,” I snapped, glare sharpening. “I’m not stupid, Sebastian.”
“You’re far from it, my lord.”
“Then what is this?” I hissed. “Why are you telling me this?”
He just kept the smile. “Well… because you ordered me to, my lord.”
I stilled then, and I narrowed my eyes. “Don’t play games with me, Sebastian. You purposely worded it this way for a reason.”
He opened his eyes and watched me darkly, still smirking. “However, do you mean?”
“I said to stop playing games,” I snapped.
He smiled. “My lord, I can assure you that I’m not conning you in any way. You have a wish, I shall grant it. And then the soul will come later.”
I just glared. “You are my faithful servant. I said that you should never lie to me!”
“Master,” Sebastian said gently, watching me closely, “I haven’t lied a little even. I am not tricking you into anything, I promise. And you ordered me to never lie, master, so I physically cannot.”
I shrank back then and closed my eyes tightly.
I felt his eyes on me.
“What do you want, Sebastian?” I said.
“I want to grant your wish,” he answered.
I glanced over at him in suspicion. “You want more than that.”
“Indeed, I do, young master.” He bowed before me.
“What else do you want?” I questioned.
He gazed up in amusement. “I cannot tell you.”
I gritted my teeth. “I order—”
“Think before you say the words, master,” Sebastian intervened, lashes lowering. “Think, master. Do you want to know the answer? Because I know you don’t want to hear it. You will throw a fit.”
“I am not four!” I yelled to him.
He just smiled, bowing before me. “Master, I cannot tell you, understand? Don’t force me, I beg you.”
I just stared at him, brows drawing together. “A demon begging me?”
He just smiled.
“Your needier then I thought,” I said, scoffing.
He stood fully then, watching me.
I just sat back down, setting my cheek in my hand as I closed my eyes tightly, breathing for a moment. “Perhaps you’re right. I don’t want the answer right now.”
He kept watching me.
I just glared up at him. “You’ve been planning this forever, haven’t you? You’ve been planning and planning.”
Sebastian just smiled. “I heard you scream for help, master, so I came to save you.”
“And you’re telling me that you didn’t plan for this?” I demanded.
His smile immediately fell. “I heard your familiar cry. The despair and the pleading… the crying and the pain and the suffering.” Sebastian’s eyes flickered to mine. “If I knew it was you before, then I would’ve saved you sooner.”
My eyes widened then, shock rumbling through me.
“Master Ciel went through something similar,” Sebastian said then, leaning down to clean up my dishes, “and he was younger than you, yes, but… his torture lasted for a couple months. Yours lasted for almost two years.”
I looked down then, sealing my lips shut.
Sebastian just leaned down in front of me, making me gaze up in question as he ran his thumb under my eye patch. “I wouldn’t wish this on a single soul, master. No matter how horrible they are.”
I just slapped his hand away and stood, backing off.
I didn’t know if I could trust him, and I didn’t want him too close now. Now that I knew.
I just didn’t want to accept it.
He watched me at the same place as I avoided eye-contact.
Sebastian just smiled and stood, bowing before me. “I shall prepare your breakfast, master, and then we can go over the new task King Charles gave you.”
I gazed up hazily. “Task?”
Sebastian gazed up, smiling still. “There’s been another murder, and the police have no leads.”
My eyes widened in horror.
“Is it the ‘father’ again?” I said.
“I don’t know,” Sebastian answered smoothly, “but we will figure it out later. For now, I shall get your breakfast.”
And I watched as he left the room.
