Episode 6 Continued - Murder on the Agenda
I stared lazily at Sebastian’s chest as he carried me back home, his hands gracefully holding under my knees and back as he continued walking.
I gazed up at him then, and then my eyes softened when I realized that I’d been half-asleep this whole time.
I then looked back outside, watching the mansion come out from the distance, the sun setting behind it.
“Master, you’re awake?” Sebastian said, gazing down at me. “I thought you passed out for a second there.”
“I think I did,” I answered as he continued forward, making his way to the front steps. “I was tired.”
“Letting yourself get beaten to a pulp will do that,” he answered then, carrying me up the steps. “Are you still hungry, my lord?”
“A little,” I answered silently, “but I don’t really feel like eating right now. I think I need to sleep.”
He just opened the front door and stepped down the hall.
My eyes widened when I saw dead bodies scattered among the rugs and walls, blood staining everything a dark red.
“Goddamn it,” I said then, “not the carpet.”
Sebastian just smiled. “I’ll clean the mess after I get your dinner preparations in order. It should be ready soon.” He was silent then, and his eyes darkened. “I’m sorry, master… I failed you.”
I gazed up then, brows raising.
“Your sandwich rotted,” he explained, making my lashes lower. “The poor thing. I didn’t realize I put it in the pantry.”
I just sighed and rolled my eyes, gazing further in the distance. “Yes, you let me be kidnapped and beaten and all you care about is my sandwich.”
He smiled then.
I just set my head on his chest. “You’re insufferable.”
“I know.”
