“Ugh I hate this job.”
“Yeah.”
“I came here to use a gun! Not pick up after someone’s trash.”
They were nearly done when a bunch of senior officers walked by and dumped some more trash in their way laughing at their pathetic state. What made things so pathetic was the fact the recruits could only hurl insults at them when they were gone.
“Wow. They don’t raise ‘em like they used to huh boys.” Alice remarked.
Some chuckled at that and continued picking. Bored with the activity Alice decided to sing. The Serge who was sleeping in the confines of his jeep jolted awake from her singing and would have ignored it if the lyrics to ‘Old Susanna’ didn’t go like this…

Oh daddy said don’t talk to boys until I’m 23.’
Despite the chore under the grueling hot sun and the fact they were missing lunch, the rest of the recruits could not help but laugh at the song’s lyrics. Annoyed, Sergeant Darth stormed out of the car and strode off to her.
“Private Alice!”
She stopped and stared at him.
“Why the hell would I flirt with you? You are so ugly that you look like a modern art masterpiece.”
Not to be out done, she smiled and batted her eyes at him. “Gee Serge, I didn't know you admired me but my daddy says, no talking to boys until I 23.”
“Alice!”
“TWENTY FIVE PUSHUPS!”
