Later that night I left my hut, as I couldn't fall asleep. I went and stood down by the water in the dark watching the bright moon shimmer on the open water. "Can't sleep" I hear Ian say behind me and he comes and stands beside me. Jake stands silently beside him "I know things have been so hectic an a lot of people are loosing their heads, but one thing I know is that Lindsey will come back, she shows courage and heart for this group, what she did for Sam that day no one else would of done that for a stranger. I respect her for that and because she stept up, Roman too when no one eles did, have faith in her, " he says to both of us admiring her surprisingly as we stay quite and listen.
"She's always had heart, I remember when she was younger I would get home from work she would always make me soup with a cup of water for me and then would quitely do her own thing, It made me uneasy so I'd always check on her wondering what I did wrong, I was 16 at the time, I had no idea what I was doing taking care of her but when I finally asked her why, she told me she wanted me to rest because I work so hard and that she knew I was tired, she was only 10 and was so selfless." Jake tells us amused and gives a weak smile. "Seems like a thoughtfull kid" I say surprised. "Just because we are stuck in a bad situation, dosn't mean we have to act careflessly, we need to keep our heads clear, and trust one another." Ian informs.
"I know you think Roman is reckless, but I see potential for him to be more than he shows with the help of your sister, cut him some slack. I know both your lives have been turned upside down but we can only move forward.... Jackson I know your upset with your brothers sudden hostile attitude but he lost his first girlfriend in a very horrific way, give him time to heal." Ian says in a disappointed tone and is silent before he continues. I swallow hard as I bury down my guilt. "I know your not happy with Erika's pregnancy but Lindsey made the right call by not allowing to terminating the pregnancy. She could of been killed the girl is 16 she has her whole life ahead of her. I know having a baby at 16 won't be a easy life, but it's still a life. I start to walk back to my hut when I see Erika walking back from outside the gate. "What are you doing outside camp you know your not suppose to leave" I snap directly walking up to her but also keep my distant. "I went out to get some air, I coudlnt sleep" she says low and hesitant. " In case you haven't noticed there is air everywhere, next time you leave camp I'll tell Roman" I say bluntly and go to walk past her. " you know, I don't like this situation anymore than you do" she snaps at me. I come to a halt and freeze before turning to look at her tense face and her fists clenched at her side's forcing herself to look me in the eye.
"I know whats done is done but I dont have to acknowledge it or you, by the way you could of said no, I didn't know you were a virgin and in experienced. This isn't all my fault and your life isn't the only one that is ruined, mine is too. My girlfriend is pissed and my brother won't even talk to me except yell at me and its all your fault, you ruined everything I shout furiously at her . Her expression drops as the words hit her hard and she looks devistated and tears rolled down her face and I storm off. "Maybe you should of thought about that before you used me!" She shouts spitefully back at me.
