It's been two days since we have been stuck here. People have made S.O.S signs in the sand and others have put old fabric or tarp they found lying around the beach and hung it in a tall tree hoping someone would see it. I look at the wall Jake and some of the guys started building out of wood that isolates us from half the beach and I remember a moment when I was small. 

" Linds it's going to be okay I'm here now, sorry I had a late day at work, must of sucked to stay inside all day. You know I only tell you to stay in the house with the doors locked to protect you, because sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry, theses closes walls will keep you safe. I need you to be safe " Jake says. As he held me on the couch and rubbed my hair. "Yes big brother I understand I had said. "Good" he said and smiled warmly. I was only 10 at the time. Funny I use to hate being inside closed, now im feeling relieved.

"Lindsey are you alright, is something wrong with the wall?" Sam asks suddenly, as he comes up to me and puts a hand on my shoulder concerned, I come out of a daze. "Yes, this is a good thing, it's better to be safe then sorry, it will protect our camp" I assure him. "Yes, your Right" he says at ease and continues to work. I walk around and check on things, the wooden huts are coming nicely and our meat stack as well. while others are getting ready for the hunt.  "hi how are you boss" Ameila asks friendly. I roll my eyes, and she nudges my shoulder "you can do this" she reassures me. "Are you sure about that" I ask unsure for a moment. "Yes because I voted for you, now you just got to believe you can. she states and then walks off. Later Roman and I call for a meeting. "We are having a group meeting today, to thank you for your hard work and because there are still people we have yet to know, so I would like to take this time to change that as I am greatful for your votes and wish to be valuable to you" I say. "My name is Danny Owens. I was from gardening section. Im not the most intelligent man but I am useful and like giving a helping hand".
