After a couple of months, she told me about this site so I came over and checked this out. I liked it and voila! “WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON? STOP IT JANET!” shouted someone. I stopped hitting her and turned around. Jason was standing there with saucer-sized eyes. “What’s wrong with you? Why are you beating her?” he asked. “Listen, she is not sick. It was all an act,” I said. “Oh, yeah? “I couldn’t stand the sight of you being with that lady. I couldn’t believe that you rejected me that day to go to her. So I wanted to make you turn to me and forget her. So I acted as if I was ill to turn you to my side,” she said.929Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡh01PEJnx75
Jason stood still. He stood like a rock unable to form a coherent sentence. His mouth was opening and closing but the words wouldn’t come out. Slowly he started whispering, “Why? Why?” After a few seconds the whispers turned into normal words and then morphed into loud clamours. The psychiatric ward was well separated from the rest of the hospital and the rooms were all sound proof since screaming noises were common in that ward. Moreover, the nurse said that the doctor had come for a visit and had left just before I went there. Hence no one came. “What? You expect me to stay here and see that boy every day and cry myself to sleep?” I asked.929Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡb7rGFmSd9A
“No, you can at least stay here and work in another school rather than leaving the country,” Carrie reasoned. As much as I wanted to stay, Jason had occupied way too much space in my heart and I knew that moving on and forgetting him would definitely not be an easy task.
“No, out of sight, out of mind,” I said and went near the door when my phone buzzed. I opened it and saw that it was a message from Janet. It read, “COME TO THE STADIUM IMMEDIATELY. LONG STORY TO TELL. AND DON’T YOU DARE RESIGN! I’LL KILL YOU IF YOU DO SO!”
She sure is a hot-headed girl I thought as I put down my phone and took the letter out of the envelope.
“Oh, so close. That would have been awkward,” I said as I tore up the resignation letter. “What happened?” asked Carrie. “Oh, just got a death threat from Janet commanding me not to leave. Something big has happened at the hospital, I presume,” I said.
“So you're staying?” asked Carrie with a face that resembled an overjoyed five-year-old kid. “Come on, let’s go to the stadium.” I said.
“To the stadium? For what? I'm definitely not looking forward to seeing you run around like an idiot,” she retorted. “That’s where Janet asked me to come,” I replied as I made a run for my car where another misfortune awaited me.
“You, inconsiderate prick! Can’t you pick another day to break down?” I yelled at my lifeless car. We had no choice but to walk. Boarding a bus and going there would take longer than the fifty minutes it would take for walking through a shortcut so we decided to walk.
Janet’s P. O. V:
The three of us went outside the hospital to talk things over, of course after being confronted by the nurse near the entrance. I told her all about Kelly’s deeds and the look on her face was priceless. She spat at Kelly’s face and went back inside, grumbling. We went to a stadium on the outskirts of the town which was pretty far away from Jason’s house. I texted, more exactly commanded Ms Emily to come there. Jason was visibly weak. He was still saying, “Why?” like a madman.
“Why did you go to such an extreme?” Jason asked Kelly. “You see, the moment you joined the movie club three years ago, I thought you were a cute guy and planned to ask you out after I made sure you were trustworthy. But before that, you came up to me and told me that you loved me.
I was unprepared so I said no. But by the time I made up my mind, you were already out of my reach because you seemed to like Emily and Janet seemed to like you. So I laid out a plan. Actually I wanted to set this trap for Janet because I thought that there was not even a slight chance of Emily accepting your love for her. But then, Emily started reciprocating your feelings. So I did this to tear you apart and mend you in my way,” she said without a hint of remorse in her voice.
Jason fell to the ground unable to assimilate the truth about Kelly. “I loved you very much and my respect for you was even greater. But you have shown your true colours throwing my respect out of the window. What you feel towards me isn’t love, it’s an obsession because, had you loved me, you would’ve thought twice before hurting me,” he said kneeling on the ground.
Kelly looked at me and said, “This war ain’t finished yet.” “What do you mean?” I asked. She just smiled wickedly and in a split second charged towards me, tackled me onto the ground and held me in a locked position and pointed towards Jason lying on the ground with his eyes closed.
NO! NOOOO!!!
“JASON, LOOK OUT,” I shouted but it was too late.
A/N: Okay. Kelly's plan leaked out to more than just Janet but Janet isn't done yet. And she has also told Emily but Jason thinks that he's lost Emily forever. I don't think I have to remind you how weak and drained Jason is now.
