This chapter is dedicated to Stormie Dawn. She used to be a very good friend here before she took a break from this site. She was the first person who talked to me here. She showed me around and gave me valuable suggestions for my story. Wish I knew some other way to contact her.926Please respect copyright.PENANAlv0JrcEtAK

How could she do such a thing to me? I lost Ms Emily too. However I was out of words to thank Janet for her unconditional support. Suddenly I heard Janet shout, “JASON, LOOK OUT.” I was wondering why when a large arm lifted my weak body from the ground. It was Emmett. “Told you the fight’s not over,” he smirked.
The last time I fought him, I punched him first making him weak, but this time was different. Moreover the guy had clearly undergone training as his punches were harder. I could not block them properly as I could not concentrate on him. My mind kept playing the line, “So I did this to tear you apart and mend you in my way.”
“What’s happened? Where are your power punches, kicks and your lightning fast reflexes?” mocked Emmett as he threw my over like a rag doll and sat beside me to rest. After gathering his strength back, he started throwing me around again. If I was relaxed, then fighting him would have been nothing more than a piece of cake. However that was not the case as he was actually the last thing I could think of. Ms Emily and Kelly were the people clouding my mind.
“What’s wrong Jason? Fight back!” yelled Janet. “I’ve lost her. What’s the point in fighting?” I asked. “No you haven’t. She’s on her way here,” she choked out before Kelly tightened the hold on her making her stop speaking.
That did it! The thought of Ms Emily staying for me literally renewed me mentally and the sight of Janet getting hurt for me made me harness every speck of energy left in my body. Even after seeing me get up, Emmett did not get up. He underestimated me, the same mistake he made when I first fought him. He then came to me lazily. Worst mistake boy! I threw a wild punch and knocked him out. Seeing that, Kelly let go of Janet who started fighting back.
By the time Emmett got up, ‘the old Jason’ was back. Emmett was no match for me, not bragging or anything. Even though his attacks were harder, he still lacked speed and presence of mind. I just followed my systematic method; take a good look, wait for it, dodge it or block it and attack. In no time, he was down. I looked behind me just in time to see Janet knock Kelly out cold. I had taught her some basic fight moves to stand up against bullies. Looked like she had good use for them.
“Jason… you okay?” she asked me. I went over to her, hugged her and said, “I don’t know what to do to thank you.” “You don’t have to. You have helped me so many times unasked and unanswered. This is just my ‘thank you’ for those,” she said.
“Jason?” called a soft voice and I stood frozen. I turned around slowly. There stood the woman of my dreams with eyes glistening in tears. For that one moment, I saw nothing but her. I pulled her to me and kissed her deeply for God knows how long. We were interrupted by throat clearing noises. We looked around and saw Janet and Carrie smiling at us. Ms Emily looked down in embarrassment. “I don’t mean to interrupt but what are you gonna do with those two?” asked Janet pointing to Emmett and Kelly. “Let’s just leave them there. Emmett will wake up in a few minutes. He can take care of ‘that’,” I said pointing to Kelly. I felt too disgusted to even say Kelly’s name out loud. Heck, I didn’t even want to look at her.
Just a month ago, I was willing to do anything out of respect for her. But after seeing the true form of the venomous girl under the beautiful silhouette, I couldn't even believe that I had once fallen for the camouflaged serpent. However no matter what, she was still the girl I once loved so I just couldn't bring myself to think wrongly of her. So I just left the place silently praying for her in my mind.
Let's just say that I was too happy that I just tossed my car keys over to George and asked him and Janet to come in it while Ms Caroline, Ms Emily and I decided to walk on a long route. George could not believe his eyes and Janet was in the same state too because that was the first time either of them got a chance to travel in my Corvette.
Although it was a long walk back home, Ms Emily and I enjoyed it a lot as we did not have any more worries. Ms Emily was probably no longer concerned about being seen by anyone as she casually intertwined her fingers with mine as we walked along the road. Ms Caroline of course was not appreciating the third-wheel-treatment as she occasionally said something to spark up a conversation. Unfortunately for her, whatever topic she started ended with her being left out.
Call me excessive but I wanted to test Ms Emily one last time. I pulled my hand away from her hand and kept a distance between us. After ten steps, she came close enough for our skins to be in contact. I pulled away again and she did the same thing after a few steps. “Uh... Ms Emily, I really like you staying close to me but what if someone sees us like this? Won't they say that I'm ruining my studies by being so close to you?” I asked and it was instantly obvious that she was angered by my question.
“Oh come on Jason! Are you seriously playing this game with me? Alright, number one, I'm in love with you. I really love you and as far as my knowledge serves me, I think that lovers holding hands and being close isn't something to shun,” she said. I was overjoyed at her reply. Inching closer to her and holding her hand, I asked, “Okay that's one what is number two?”
Well, that... we've already come this far and now I've come to the point where I've made a decision; I'll marry you or I'll stay single all my life so if there's anyone who thinks that our marriage is something that's not supposed to happen, then as far as I'm concerned, that person can shove that thought up their primitive nose,” she replied and I had a really hard time believing that it was actually my reticent teacher who was talking like that. I was so happy that things finally started to brighten up. [‘Raining sunshine’ by Miranda Cosgrove]
Only one more thing remained. That was getting my dad's permission to marry Ms Emily. Aunt already knew every nook and corner of my life and she gave her consent a long time ago. Even though I was a bit hesitant before my father, the thought that Ms Emily was steadfast on staying with me gave me the much-needed strength to face him boldly.
We decided to take a shortcut as Ms Caroline’s whining was too much to bear. We went on a pretty lonely pathway used sometimes by subway repairmen. We were walking inside a tunnel in comfortable silence when we heard irregular footsteps as if someone was limping badly. Curiosity got the better of all three of us. We turned around and I barely had time to look at Ms Emily whose blood was obviously curdled because of the person standing before us.
A/N: This is the face I make when I set up a really nasty suspense XD
See you all next week. See ya XD XD XD
