I can give Cait credit for persistence for once in some ways I expected her to give up. After letting her inside I went back to my movie while waiting for her to talk about whatever she came here for. Maybe one day my head will become loud again and I can be that Astra that smiles at everything.

She accepted that answer and our conversations changed to other topics. She was the same gossip girl and movie fanatic I remember, I'm happy to have Cait here with me though. She wants to fix things between us which I understand because she still is a part of my world. I love her now as I did then even though she was hurting me, I know it wasn't intentional to some degree. So I told her about the kiss and the fantasies revolving around Joy that look was priceless but she was curious all the same. Late into the night, we talked till we fell asleep on the couch it's been a while since we did a sleepover. When morning hit I had to get ready for work since I felt just a little better about the situation, plus they needed me. The distraction would be welcome since Gina still hasn't answered me but I'm not worried strangely enough. Cait said her goodbyes heading back to Victoria I feel this side of Cait will be good for her. We reconnected last night and I feel like she wants to be close again like we use to be and all I can do is hope.

On my way to work Joy messaged me checking up on things and asking about Cait. So I talked to her about things and how we may have reconnected finally. Joy wanted to take credit for Cait showing up but of course, she's having her fun all the same. But I guess she wouldn't be Joy without asking if I'm okay about when she kissed me. I know why she worries over things like this but maybe one day she will know it was mutual. So I try to explain it to her laying her fears to rest as best I can but for some reason, I typed my thoughts instead of what I was trying to say. Well, this conversation just got awkward now that she knows I had the fantasy about her guess I shouldn't have two conversations at once. Having a clear head does make things easier to multi-task at least but seems to cause trouble as well.

It took Joy some time to respond to my outburst and apology that it wasn't supposed to come out. But when she did I should have been prepared for it because I was burning red after reading her response. She's terrible but it made me smile at least.

I highly doubt it was at anyone's expense Joy but I know what you mean either way. It was almost time for the girls to come to practice so this conversation has come to a close. Kim was first like normal everyone else trailing behind her but I could see the lack of energy, time to surprise them.

Kim was on the verge of tears seeing me here and it didn't take long to be swarmed by them. The happiness they had just from seeing me truly made me happy, the energy has returned as well.

Her smile had returned all of their smiles did, it's hard seeing how much you affect people. I wonder if I was just blind to it before, that does sound like me. If I can't run then I'll teach them how to reach the top it's the least I could do. Practice ran a little late but I had some catching up to do with them all. Before going home I decided to stop by the convenience store near our home to pick up a drink and movie. Today has been a good day I'm still worried about this freedom I have inside my head. When I entered the house I got a pleasant surprise, Gina had come home.
