I glanced over at Will as he entered my bathroom, the smile still plastered on his face as he hummed a soft tune, placing some freshly bought soaps and shampoos as he closed the bathroom door behind him.
After, he stepped over to the shower and turned it on, watching the water pad on the floors so easily before turning back to me.
He just gazed up, amused as I watched him curiously, but he just stepped over and immediately got to work unbuttoning my shirt and guiding me out of it.
He then cast a look at the mark on my side before his eyes glowed a slight red, and he stepped back over to the shower, testing the water before looking back at me.
He bowed slightly, mockingly. “After you.”
I just tipped my chin up and got into the shower, standing as he continued humming and started scrubbing my form.
I stared at the shower wall when he cleaned off all the dirt and grime previously left from so long ago, and I glanced back at him when his smile remained playing on his lips.
He just massaged shampoo into my scalp, continuing to hum.
But he finally finished and rinsed me off, turning off the shower seconds later.
I stepped out from the shower when he stepped away briefly and returned with a towel.
He just wrapped me in it, and I ignored his amused stare and stepped over to the front of the bathroom.
He dried me off briefly and then returned to guide a dress on me.
“You bought me this house,” I told him. “Do you have a good paycheck?”
He just smiled, raising the straps over my arms. “Indeed, I did. I am the under-boss of our company, after all.”
“You did?” I said then. “Past tense?”
“Yes, Angel. You’re the boss now, remember?”
I gazed over at him when he zipped up the back. “I have something to ask of you.”
“Oh?” he said then, stepping to the bathroom counter to catch a hairbrush.
I gazed back at the mirror and felt him start running the brush through my strands of hair, and my lashes lowered when he continued brushing with such ease. “You demoted yourself, so I’d be boss. Reverse it.”
He paused mid-brush and locked gazed with me in the mirror. “May I ask why?”
“What better control than for your boss to be contractually obligated to do anything his underling says?” I said then, giving him a dubious look.
He just smiled, lashes lowering. “You get crueler every second.”
“Oh, and… one more thing.”
He kept running the brush through my hair. “Yes?”
“Make me a coffee.”
He just chuckled. “Yes, ma’am.”
I just gazed up at him, getting slightly irritated. “Seriously… you can frown once in your life.”
He gazed over at me, smiling still. “Ah, are you attempting to inconvenience me?”
“Yes.”
He just chuckled. “It’s hard to do that, I’m afraid. I am a supernatural creature, after all.”
I just sighed and gazed back at the mirror. “So I can be more of a brat? Neat.”
The smile never left his face. “Indeed. In fact, I find every part of you amusing.”
I gazed up at him in annoyance.
“Your confidence,” he stated, still brushing my hair, “your brattiness, it’s just fascinating to me. A girl as old as you acting so self-righteous and demanding to someone like me is baffling. I’m a creature of hell, I live to kill. I stand on piles of dead bodies, and you—a small frail little girl—can order me around like I’m merely a servant. I can imagine this story will be fascinating, indeed.”
I remained silent, but he could clearly see the small smile peeking through my lips.
“Did my comment amuse you?”
“No, just the fact that I have a demon as my pet is amazing.”
He gave me an amused look.
“Yes, you’re going to kill me, but still… ah… I’m going to have fun with this.”
“You have your fun,” he said then, “all I want it my meal.”
I gazed over at him. “You’re not at all worried about what I’ll make you do?”
He gazed back down to the hairbrush. “Not at all. I’ve done many things. You can force me to be a submissive porn star for all I care—and I’d be forced to do it—but my end of the bargain is still intact. I do not care.”
I just gazed back at the mirror. “And you’re offering me all the money, too. Fascinating. I don’t have to buy anything for myself anymore. I don’t have to tie my shoes or dress myself. I don’t have to work anymore… mmm… I don’t have to cook for myself anymore.”
“No, you do not.”
I just lowered my lashes, still smiling. “Good.”
“As I was saying,” he said then, continuing to brush my hair, “your high amount of self-confidence amuses me. But also your adorableness.”
I glared. “I’m not adorable.”
“You are,” he stated, “you’re a child at heart. Just look at the teddy bears on your bed. You talk to them, you know.”
I made an impatient sound then. “I want my coffee.”
“Yes, Angel. I’m almost done.”
