“So bored,” I said, kicking up my legs on my bed and dropping them, “so, so bored.”
But the doorbell rang, and I shot up from my bed, eyes widening.
I quickly hopped off the bed and ran over to the door, glancing through the peephole.
I squeaked in excitement and threw open the door.
It crashed against the wall, making Will glance down at me with a brow raised.
“Hi,” I said then.
He remained in that position. “Hi.”
“You cured my boredom,” I said, stepping away, “come in, come in.”
He just shook his head and entered my apartment, glancing around. “Why do you have pictures of rabbits on your walls?”
“Because they’re cute,” I replied, closing my door.
“I see.”
I just circled around him, bouncing on the balls of my feet. “Do you want coffee? Tea?”
He just smiled a little. “Wow, aren’t you energetic.”
“Hehe,” I said, closing my eyes, “I made you smile.”
He just sighed, and I parted my lashes.
His gaze was aimed to my kitchen. “Your coffee maker’s on,” he told me, glancing down, “did you just make a cup?”
“That is personal information,” I replied, making him gaze down at me in suspicion. “Yes,” I confessed, “yes, I did.”
He just sighed and set his hand on my head, making me glance up curiously as he ruffled my hair. “You’re adorable.”
I then closed my eyes and smiled, lowering my head as he continued to rub my brown locks.
He pulled away then, making me glance up.
I could see myself blushing in my reflection of his irises.
He just watched me. “You really are a bunny, aren’t you?”
I smiled then.
He just sighed. “Anyway, I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to come here.”
I smiled up at him. “I’m glad you came. I was seeking friendship with my teddy bear.”
He clicked his tongue. “There’s something I haven’t heard before.”
I then hopped a little, making him glance down at me. “What do you want to drink? I have coffee, chai latte, chocolate milk.”
“Oh,” he said then, “I’d like chocolate milk, please.”
I glanced back at him, sticking my tongue out. “I knew you would say that.”
He just watched me, and I stepped over to my fridge, popping my lips. I pulled open the door and poured some chocolate milk into two plastic cups.
I then stepped over to him and handed him one.
He glanced down at me. “Are you wearing pants?”
A hot blush settled on my cheeks, and I glanced down at my bare legs. “Oh, I’m wearing shorts, but the sweatshirt covers them.”
I looked back at him, and he just looked away and focused back on the room.
“I have a chair,” I told him.
He glanced down at me. “I mean... I hope you have a chair.”
“Of course, I do!” I said, waving my hand dismissively. “Come on, over here.”
I then stepped over to the couch in the living room and plopped down, staring up at him and patted beside me.
He stepped over and sat, as well, glancing down at me as I held my cup of milk in both hands and took a sip.
He took a sip as well. “Sorry that we couldn’t go on that date today. I had to stay late... How about tomorrow night? What would you like to do?”
I glanced at him. “We can go to a movie.”
He looked away then—as if embarrassed.
“What?” I said.
He glanced back at me, blushing a little. “You have a milk mustache.”
I stuck my tongue out at him. “I’m more manly than you, hehe.”
He just nudged my shoulder playfully, and I giggled when my milk spilled a little.
I didn’t mind it, though. I could wash this sweatshirt.
“What movie would you like to see?” he asked me.
I gazed up, thinking. “Hmmm... I mean....”
“Do you want to watch a movie?” he wondered then.
“Oh, yeah!” I smiled a little, gazing down as my cheeks reddened a little. “I don’t think you want to watch it, though.”
“Try me,” he said.
I gazed up. “It’s a family movie.”
He made a pft noise. “I love family movies.”
I smiled then. “Really? Puss and Boots? Is that okay?”
He just brushed my hair over my shoulder. “I’ll buy the tickets tonight.”
I giggled then and fell down, pressing my head to his chest as I hugged him. “Thank you.”
He ruffled my hair again. “Anything for you.”
I pulled away and smiled. “You’re so sweet, you know that?”
“Really?” he asked me, astonished. “You think that?”
I poked his chest. “You can’t fool me, Will Blaze.”
He only set his now-finished cup on the table. “Alright, well... I’ll take my leave.”
He stood and started to the door, and I rushed over to him, unlocking it and gazing up at him as he glanced down at me.
“You can stay, if you want,” I suggested. “It won’t be a bother to me.”
He stared at me for a moment. “You sure?”
“Yeah!” I closed my eyes sweetly.
He then nodded. “Okay, I’ll stay then.”
And I closed the door, gazing up at him.
“Uhm...” I said then, rocking back and forth on my feet, “I don’t really know... what to do.”
His eyes softened. “Well... a little bird told me that there’s a showing of Puss and Boots at midnight.”
My eyes widened. “Really?”
He nodded. “I just bought the tickets.”
I giggled then. “Alright, early date, okay! Well... let me go change. I’ll be right back.”
I then rushed to my bedroom, feeling him watching me, and I quickly changed into a baggy sweatshirt and a pair of leggings, and rushed back out, gasping a little as I gazed up at him.
His brows arched. “That was fast.”
“As you said,” I gazed up, “I’m a bunny.”
He shook his head, and I set my hands on my knees before I shot back up, determined to go.
“Alright!” I said, throwing my hands up. “Time for movie!”
