I didn’t know what time it was, but I woke up later that day again, although I didn’t remember ever falling asleep.
I parted my lashes, wincing when my eyes met burning sunlight, and I winced and turned over.
Only to feel arms around me.
I gasped, shooting up.
“Sorry,” Will said, smiling as he rested next to me, “when we kissed, you passed out, and... so... I thought maybe....”
I just fell back down and hugged him, making him gasp a little as I buried myself in his hold.
He just smiled a little, setting his head on mine.
“It’s okay,” I told him. “I like hugs.”
I then parted from him, and he watched me curiously.
“Although,” I said then, looking away shyly. “I... You should know something before you date me.”
He blinked, tipping his head to the side. “Oh? Are you secretly a vampire or something?”
I just lightly pat his chest, shaking my head. “No. And you the vampire, you... you... daylighter.”
He just smiled. “Well....”
“Anyway,” I said then, making him gaze back up to me, “I wanted to warn you that... well...” I glanced down at him, eyes widening as he drew back in horror, “I will demand cuddles EVERY SECOND.”
He blinked and settled back into himself. “That’s it?”
“What do you mean that’s it?” I said, offended. “I will suffocate you with how much I want hugs!”
He just shook his head. “I figured as much. It seemed like it was in your personality to like cuddles.”
I glared. “What does that mean?”
“You’re just so sweet and bubbly,” he told me, smiling still. “And you constantly compare yourself to a bunny, so... no... not really surprising, to be honest.”
I pouted, and he just chuckled.
“Can I tell you a secret?” I said then.
His brows arched.
“I can’t fall asleep at night without hugging something,” I whispered quietly. “Which is why I have so many teddy bears.”
He smiled a little. “Aw, is someone lonely?”
“Don’t make fun of me!” I said then, pouting.
He just chuckled and pulled me down, and I yelped and collapsed onto his chest.
“Am I better than a teddy bear?” he said then.
I pursed my lips and snuggled closer. “Maybe.”
He let out a breath. “Then why are you snuggling closer?”
“Maybe,” I said, shutting my eyes, “I’m still thinking. Gimme like... two hours, okay?”
“Hours?” he echoed.
“Yes,” I said, “I warned you.”
He just snickered a little and set his head down. “Fine.”
