“Will,” I said as I entered his room.
He gazed up from his bed. “Yes, my lady?”
I held out a paper slip to him. “I found something.”
He blinked before standing, and he stepped over to me, gazing down curiously at the slip.
A smile spread across his face. “My, my. My little detective. You found out who killed your sister already? You must be very inclined to die.”
“I don’t care about my death,” I stated boldly. “I want to find out who did it… and why.” I then gazed up, annoyed. “And I must state the fact that you’re the one who grabbed all the evidence.”
He closed one eye. “They’ll never allow me back in the police department after this.”
“I’m surprised they haven’t arrested you,” I stated boldly.
“Yes,” he said then, smirking, “because putting a demon in a jail cell isn’t cause for destruction.”
“I don’t think they know you’re a demon, Will.”
His lashes lowered. “They do now.”
I just gave him an annoyed look.
He just gazed up, smirking. “So, will we be paying this little friend a visit?”
“Yes,” I stated then. “I just need to make sure if this is the right person. All signs point to them… I don’t know why the police hadn’t made the connections. It only took me hours scanning the crime scene photos. So it’s not that big of a deal. I found a massive lead that they missed.”
Will gazed down at the photo then.
I pointed to it.
He smiled then, lashes lowering. “Oh, how perceptive you are.”
