Alexander's P.O.V.-
Halfway into the movie...
I don't want to reign on her parade or anything, but this movie is not that good. We're watching the scene where a woman is winding up and singing, it makes no sense to me.
I may not be enjoying it, but Quinn is. She's been singing and smiling the whole time, seeing her smile just warms me inside. I know guys don't say shit like 'warm me inside', but she does. I honestly didn't know what movie they were showing until I checked my phone. Looking over I see her shivering; it is pretty cold out, even for me.
"You cold?" I asked her.
"A little." She says softly. I lift up my arm indicating for her to cozy up to me. Hesitantly, she scoots on over and leans into me. I can hear her sigh in content while popping popcorn in her mouth.
"Better?"
"Yeah, you're really warm." She lets out a small chuckle. I lean down and plant a kiss on the top of her head, her hair smells of mangos and berries. It's like she rolls around in fruit or something. "Want some popcorn?" She asked lifting the bucket up to me.
Looking in the bucket, I see there isn't any more popcorn left. She actually has eaten all the popcorn by herself, Quinn's the only women I know that can eat a whole bucket of popcorn by herself, besides Aren.
"There's none left." She looks in and pouts. "You want me to get you some more?" I asked her.
"Do you mind? You don't have to get it I can do it myself." She proceeds to get up, but I push her back down. Her curls bounce from the movement.
"I got it." I say getting up with the bucket. As I began walking, she pulls on my pants leg, her brown eyes look up at me, she must want something else. I kneel down to her level, "Need something else?" She smiles and looks down.
"Yeah, can you go to the car and get my jacket. I forgot to get it." She grabs my keys off the blanket and places it in my palm.
"Ok, that it." I didn't want to be making lots of trips.
"Yeah." She pats my chest and turned around focusing all her attention on the movie.
Walking with the empty bucket in hand I go over to the concession. There's like 20 people waiting in line, at this rate I'd be here forever, might as well just go to the car and get her jacket instead.
Moving through the crowd I arrive at my car. Before I open the door, my phone starts to buzz, must be my mom.
She's been texting me non-stop from the moment I pulled into Quinn's driveway til this moment. My father wanted me to stay in and not go out, so my mom has been trying to see where I went.
They know Quinn is my mate so I will spend as much time as I can with her. It's natural to want to be around your mate all the time, it makes the bond you share grow closer.
I shrug off the texts and stick my phone in the back pocket. Unlocking my car, I lean over to the passenger's seat and grab her dark blue fluffy jacket. I swear everything she has is fluffy, including her hair. Closing the door, I proceed to walk to the concession, before turning around I see a figure staring at me. By the parking lot there's a forest, the guy is leaning up against a tree looking at me, intently.
From my senses I can tell that he's a werewolf, what is a werewolf that is not a part of my pack doing so close on human lands. Leaving Quinn's jacket and bucket in the bed of my car, I walk swiftly to the mystery man. He tries to run way, but due to my werewolf strength I hold him forcibly against the tree.
"Who the hell are you?" I ask him. I've never seen him before in my life, and he doesn't smell familiar, he smells foreign.
"I know who you are... Alexander Germani, future Alpha of the Golden Summit Pack." How does he know who I am.
"What do you want with me?"
"Not you. Your mate, Quinneth Worthingshire." I sneer and push him further into the tree, if that's even possible.
"Don't you speak her name, don't even look in her direction." Fire burned in my eyes, it look every fiber in my being not to kill him right now.
"I can't and won't. Those short skirts really get me going. I bet she's a moaner huh? Quiet girls love to sc-. A deep growl rumbles in my chest. All the anger seeps up to the surface, how dare he talk about her like, look at her like that.
I hall off and punch him square in the jaw. While he's on the ground I kick him in the stomach. He laughs and groans out in pain; this guy is crazy. Pulling him up by his shirt, I start asking him questions.
"I'm not playing games anymore. Who sent you here?"
"I think you know." I ponder on it for a few seconds. I figure the only person that could have a possible vendetta with Quinn is Sasha. "Seems like you figured it out."
"Tell me what she wants." He spits out the blood in his mouth.
"She told me to give you a message." Once he tells me the message my skin turns pale. I let go of him and he runs deep into the woods. It can't be true; how does she know?
There has been reports of Sasha all over the border of the pack. A couple of the scouts has actually see her, but since she's so fast, they couldn't catch her.
I walk out the woods and over to the bed of my car grabbing the bucket and her jacket. The movie will be over in a few minutes, I got to get her out of here and back home where she will be safe.
If what he said is true, they will be coming after her...soon. I finally get her popcorn and head over to our spot. It's like I never left, she's just eating the twizzlers intently watching the movie.
"I got your popcorn." I sit down and bring her closer to me.
"Thank you, Alexander." She takes the popcorn from my hands and devours it. Oh yay, another song. "You ok you look like you've seen a ghost." Worry sets in her face.
"Just fine, now that I'm back." I pull her close to me.
"Umm... Alexander your holding me a little too tight." She lets out a tiny squeak.
"Sorry." I release my tightness on her. From what that guy told me in the woods a few minutes ago has me nervous. I mean I hardly ever am nervous or scared, but what he said frightened me to my core.
"Hey, what happened to your hand?" I look down to see bloody knuckles, must have happened when I punched dude in the face. Her small hands take in mine, caressing the bruise, I wince out in pain. "Poor baby." She pouts.
I roll my eyes at her. "It's nothing Quinn, it's just a scar." I reassure her. Since I'm a werewolf I would just heal, but she doesn't know that so letting her 'heal' me is the best bet.
"Don't try to act like it doesn't hurt, hold on I can fix it." She digs through her purse and takes out a small first aid kit. Who in the hell carries a first aid kit around?
"Why do you have a miniature first aid kit in your purse?" I asked curiously.
"My Grandpa is always getting hurt, so I decided to have one in my purse for him. Now, I guess it's for you to. Give me your hand." She starts to clean it with alcohol and wraps some bandages on it.
"This is the second time you repaired my hand, thank you." My voice is full of sincerity.
"You're welcome." She brings my hand to her mouth and plants a tender kiss on it. Tiny sparks dance through my hands.
30 minutes go past and the movie is finally over. Everyone starts to grab their things and leave, including me and Quinn.
She carries her extra popcorn and candy while I carry the pillows and blankets. "Did you have a good time?" She asked me looking up.
"I had a nice time." I assure her.
"Did you like the movie?" She questions.
"It was... interesting." I muster out. She laughs at me.
"I know you didn't like it. It's alright the fact that you sat with me the whole time was good enough. Your hand feeling better?" She looks down at it.
"Yeah, it's feeling better thanks to you. Ever thought about being a nurse?"
"Oh no I couldn't handle it. All those patients and pressure I would totally crack." She spits out.
"I think not." I pull her close to me as we walk over to my car.
Quinneth's P.O.V.-
Taking the keys out the ignition, we sit in silence. We just sit in the car, waiting for one of us to say... something. To be honest, I don't want him to say anything. Just sit and take in the essence of each other.
Alexander breaks the silence, "So, did you have a good time tonight?"
"I did." I say shifting in my seat. "Thank you for taking me out tonight, it was a remember able night."
"Anytime."
"How's your hand?" I ask, again. He might be tired of me asking, but doesn't show it.
"Fine, thank you for nursing me back to health." I let out a small laugh.
"Your welcome."
I give him a shy smile and bring my hand to the door, before I'm able to open it he's stops me.
"Wait, let me get that for you." He pops out his seat and runs over to my side of the car. Opening the door, he grabs my waist and brings me gently to the ground. His strong hands keep their firm grip on my waist.
"You didn't have to help me out, I could've done it myself." I say softly.
"I know, but I want to help you in any way I can." It's currently midnight. The only thing out here are me, Alexander, and the bright yellow street lights. The cool wind blows past me, pushing my hair from my neck.
Alexander takes notice of this and lifts his warm fingers and tucks the stray hair behind my ear. I gently move towards him, loving the beautiful but small gesture.
We stand on the street, just happy to be in each other's company. I watch as the speckles of frost fall on his soft cheeks, melting into his skin. He takes one step towards me, I can feel his cool breath fan over me, I hope he kisses me.
I've been waiting all day for him to pull me close with his strong arms and plant a kiss on me. I don't think it's going to happen tonight. Something overcomes me and I have the urge to ask him a very up-front question.
"Are you going to kiss me?" I asked innocently. He lets out a chuckle and steps back.
"I was...but now you spoiled it." He turns around and walks back to the driver's seat. I instantly start to panic, god I should've kept my big mouth shut. I quickly catch up to him before he leaves.
"So, you're not going to kiss me?" He stops dead in his tracks. Slowly, he turns around to face me with an amused look. My heart beats out of my chest, scared of what he's going to say.
"Do you want me... to you know kiss you?" The words roll off his tongue like water.
"I mean if you- you want to. I won't object or anything." I clasp onto the cold bars of his truck.
He swiftly walks over to me, bringing his warm hand to my cold cheek. By his touch, I warm up rather quickly.
"I really want to kiss you." He mumbles. Leaning down closer to me, he plants his lips on mine. Suddenly, I feel complete. The part of me that was missing, that was off, its back on. Our lips move in sync, tasting every curve and crevice in each other's mouth. My hand moves to his head, grabbing onto a patch of hair, he lets out a soft moan in my mouth.
We let go of each other, trying to regain air to our lungs. Clutching onto his shirt, I look over his shoulder to see my grandpa and Irene still on the couch watching their movie. It's like they haven't even left.
I don't know what came over me, but I hope I don't come to regret it. "Do you have somewhere to go after this." I say quickly and out of breath.
"No, just going to go home and wa-." I put my finger on his lips, silencing him.
"Meet me in my room in 5 minutes." He looks at me like I'm crazy.
"Quinn are you sure? What if your grandpa comes up there and catches us?" I look at him with amusement.
"Oh, so now you're afraid of coming up to my room. What about the two times you broke and entered into my house?"
"You got a point. Five minutes?"
"Yeah, five minutes." I confirm. Patting his chest, I run to my house. I turn around to see him checking me out. He gives me a wink, I giggle and walk into the toasty house.
"Quinn? Is that you." Grandpa asks. I try to hold in my happiness.
"Yeah, ummm I'll be in my room...asleep so don't bother checking on me." I rush the words out of my mouth as I charge up the stairs.
"Ok." Grandpa says.
"Have a good night honey." Irene adds on.
