A few minutes before Alexander was captured...
Quinneths P.O.V-
I walked, paranoid, down the long corridor. On the left was Katherine Constantine, and on the right was Piper. They have been assigned to make sure I don't run away, or kill myself. I came here from my own free will, why would I escape.
Coming to the end of the hall, I see two tall white doors. Different swirly patterns were painted on the door, from what I've seen of the castle, it's actually quite beautiful. If I wasn't kind of a prisoner, and two killer assassins weren't following my every move, I'd want to explore it.
Katherine and Piper open up the door for me, I walk inside. I ignore everything around me and focus on the room I'm in. It's grand, and beautiful. Like the entrance of the castle when I first came in, there's high-rise ceilings with painting of wolfs and such on it. The difference in here is that their woman floating around with wands. Their hairs are really long, and different color streaks tangle in their long locks. What stands out is there are four of them, is this The First power?
"Intrigued?" I jumped, startled. In front of me stands a rather intimidating Yount, with a random woman. Her arm is linked around his, is she Queen Tura? The one that went mad, and gave her baby away to Katana to take to safety? I keep being told all these names, but no one ever has pictures of these people.
"Uh- ye- yeah. Are those The First power?" I point up to the ceiling. From my visions of them, they don't look the same. Their necks are longer, skin is brighter and clothes are of a different era.
"Yes, their names are Tallulah, Farrah, Fridda and Osseriya. Farrah was the coven leader, the most powerful one of all. The others can't survive without her." I look at him, astonished. This the first time I am to know their names. Everyone has told me about them, and what they can do but never told me their names.
"Those are beautiful names."
"They are, indeed." He walks up to me, his hand held in mine. His eyes close, it looks like he's trying to read me, or take away my energy. Whatever it is, it's creeping me out. His eyes suddenly open up, "Katherina and Piper can you please go outside." They give him a bow and walk out into the hall. The only thing I hear is the tall, white doors shutting loudly.
I tame my mind of the last memories I had of him, killing Irene. The lifeless heart he placed in the palm of my hand. I'm here to do one thing only, wake up The First Power, then go snuggle up with Alexander.
"May I ask. . .what exactly are you doing?" His hands are warm on top of mine.
"I'm trying to see something, feel your energy. I can't get a clear reading. . .interesting." He drops my hand from his, it falls numbly down to my side. I quickly remember that I'm in the presence of royalty, where are my manners.
My legs bend and I bow my head, giving them the worst curtsey known to man. "Your majesties, King Yount and Queen Tura." A loud gasp escapes the woman's lips. She looks at me, her eyes letting me know that she wants to kill me right here and right now.
"Did- did I say something wrong?" The woman steps up to me, she holds her long dress in her hands. Her long, straight hair moves from side to side.
"Yes, you did. And if you say another wrong thing, you'll lose your tongue!" I don't think she's joking around. "My name is Stella Wilde, the wife of the King. You will treat me with respect." Why not Queen Stella, and where is hell is Queen Tura? She must still be alive because she would have been called Queen Stella.
"Mon lapin (my rabbit), calm down now she doesn't know any better." His hands come to her shoulder, she starts to calm down, but that vein in her neck still visible.
"She needs to learn, don't EVER compare me to that vile woman." She starts to back down, going right back to Yount's side. "I'm the mother of Sasha, the girl your boyfriend killed. He killed my Sashi." Her eyes swell up, she went from being super angry to now super sad and frustrated.
"She tried to kill my boyfriend; he did what he had to do." I say standing up to her.
"You are so lucky we need you for the resurrection, or your head would be on a spike right now." Spike? What is this? The 1600's?
"Ok, calm down woman. We have pressing matter at hand. The ritual."
"Piper told me something about that I can't do the ritual until the waxing crescent moon hits it's final peak."
"That is correct. You will say a chant, and then va-voom they will be resurrected. Tomorrow, you will practice the spell, it has to be said correctly or it won't work."
Before I could ask him any more questions his eyes roll in the back of his bed. It was like the time when Coletta, Alexander's mother, got sent the message that someone was on their pack's lands, and that person happened to be Sasha.
"What's wrong mon chou (sweetie)?" said Stella. It takes a few minutes for him to say something, then he returns back to normal.
"Someone has been found lurking on our lands, a man."
"Who is it?"
"We don't know, his identity hasn't been discovered. His two friends ran away, our guards are chasing them down. KATHERINA, PIPER!" Busting through the doors comes the girls. They stand alert, ready to take on a challenge.
"Yes sir!" They both say loudly.
"Take Quinneth back to her rooms. We have a breech." As he says this, he walks right past us, leaving us in the grand ball room.
"Come on." They push me towards the doors, looking behind me I see Stella standing there, giving me the evil eye.
"What's going on? Who's here?" I asked the girls. Piper stays quiet while Katherine answers.
"None of your business, you focus on doing what you need to do." A stoic look is on her face, I swear I've never seen her face change. And this is the first thing she has said to me. The last time we saw each other was when she dragged me back to Sasha.
I keep my mouth shut, many people move around us, running in and out of doors. Who is this person? As we walk to the big area of the castle, I see men dragging in some guy, he must be the one they found on their grounds. From his uniform I could tell he was a guard, but I couldn't see this face due to him being blocked out by the guards.
"QUINNETH! QUINNETH!" The mysterious guy screams my name. Suddenly, everything becomes clear, the person screaming my name is Alexander. ALEXANDER. What is he doing here?
The guards jack him up, mostly trying to get him to be quiet. They bend his arms in a grotesque way, I can't stand to see him like this. To see them treating him like he's some. . .dog from the street.
I leave Katherine and Piper behind, running warp speed to him. I want to wrap my arms around him, kiss him on the cheek. Save him from the abusive torment he's going through right now. Before I could even get close enough, Piper pulls me back. Her tight grip strangles my body. I try and try to cry away from her, but to no avail.
I'm assuming it's super strength or mother's intuition, or in this case, girl friend intuition, because I pushed her up against the wall. Her head made a lot of noise as it collided with the wall. My legs charge to him, my arms wrap around his neck. Clutching him like he would disappear into dust.
"Oh Quinn." He whispers into my hair.
"Alexander, what are you doing here?" My hands hold onto his face, those grey specks dance around in them. He shouldn't be here; he's not supposed to be here.
"I came to save you." The part of me being mad at him falters. He really is my knight and shining armor.
"NO! I don't need you to save me, I was saving you. You've got to let me does this." He risked his life saving me from Sasha, now I must risk my life and make sure he lives a long and healthy one. If I don't do this, Yount would kill more people in my life, and would start with him then my grandpa. I mean, Alexander did kill him and Stella's daughter, they have every right to want him dead. His head rested on a spike. I never thought I would sacrifice myself for someone, never thought my love for someone would be so deep. So wonderful.
My arms are now clutching the air, Piper pulls me back from him. Her strong nails digging into my sides, I can't leave him. Alexander thrashes against the guards, cutting loose from their iron grip.
He runs towards me; my arms open for his embrace. His soft lips connect with mine, it's been so long since I've kissed him. It felt like the first time, the first kiss. Everything around me tunes out and it's just me and him. Existing in this chaotic world. My fingers slide through his black locks, feeling them tangle between them.
We find ourselves being pulled away from each other, him going towards the end of the hall. And me being dragged back to my room. Three words manage to leave me as I jerk around.
"I LOVE YOU!"
"I love you." He whispers back to me. Without our mate bond, I wouldn't have been able to hear him.
Narrator's P.O.V.-
As Quinneth and Alexander fight to remain in each other's arms, Aren and Christian are running for their lives. Thank God for the training they've endured when they were younger because they probably wouldn't have made it out.
Behind them they see three guards running after them, they scream at them to stop. On the side, arrows are flying their way. Aren does a tuck and roll dodging two arrows from the left side.
"Aren! Stay close to me." Christian screams at Aren. Since they left Alexander, and he may even be dead right now, he must keep Aren safe. They both need to keep themselves safe.
Alexander needs them to send the message to their father, letting him know that he has been captured, and needs to be saved. He's counting on them.
Right now, Aren is starting to see familiar lands. They are miles away from being at the Golden Summit Pack. Running in human form will take them forever, but in wolf form they'll get their within 10 minutes.
Aren goes from her tall, tan and long-haired body to her wolf form. The grey fur moves freely in the howling wind, her paws feel great against the ground. She loves being in her wolf form, it makes her feel free.
To her left she sees Christian in his also. Christian doesn't have the grey fur that Aren does, his is a chestnut brown kind of color. It pairs greatly with his chocolate eyes and skin. Luci always liked his wolf; he thinks that she prefers it more.
'How far away are we?' Aren asked in Christian's head.
'About 5 minutes away. The guards are still chasing us, we need to dodge them.' He gives her a nod.
'You go left, and I'll go right.' They go in opposite directions, leading the guards in different directions. Since Aren ran off first they followed her instead, leading Christian on a free path. Aren ran in the right direction because there's a steep waterfall up ahead. When she was in training, her class would train out there. She remembers it being so steep because she fell down it once.
"STOP." One of the guards screamed at her, she will never stop. Aren was never one to back down from anything, her father is the Gamma the toughest man she knows. Besides the Alpha and King of course. Coming closer to the hill, she dodges around it and the guards slips down the waterfall. She could hear their voices fading as they go down, being engulfed by the stream of water.
Meanwhile, at the pack house Aora and Skipper stand outside the house with Leo. Since Alexander rescued Leo from the prisons with Quinneth and Katana, he now belongs to their pack. It is said when an Alpha saves someone, they are automatically entered into it. He's been spending most of his time hanging with Aora and Skipper, since they are near his age. He finds Aora rather pushy, but Skipper. . .she's interesting and beautiful. Any guy with eyes could see that, the best part he likes about her is her braces.
They also found out that Leo also can feel emotions. When he was in the prisons, he couldn't tell anyone that he had powers, they would abuse them. Skipper has never known anyone who had the same powers as her, she's always felt somewhat alone. All the emotions of people rush inside of her at once, sometimes making it unbearable. Since Leo is much older, he can control it better. So, him and Skipper have been working on controlling it.
One interesting thing is that Skipper knows that Leo likes her and he her. That has to be the worst thing about feeling emotions, you can't hide them. He wants to ask her out, but feels like he isn't good enough for her. She's the beta's daughter, and he's the son of a fisherman.
While Skipper and Leo battle with their feelings and thoughts, Aora sits to the side and plays on her phone. She wants to give them some space, she's hoping Skipper would ask Leo out so she won't have to hang with them every time Skipper gets scared to hang out with guys, especially the ones she likes. Getting cut off from playing her game, Aora sees two wolves running from the woods.
One has grey fur and the other has chestnut fur. She identifies the grey one as her sister, Deshka and the other Skipper's brother, Christian.
She leaves her phone on the ground, running up to them. Her sister and Christian shift back to their human forms. Immediately, she hands her jacket to Aren, she's currently naked. While her eyes shift over, she sees Leo give Christian his shirt and a blanket.
"What's going on?" asked Leo.
"Trouble." Was all Aren said.
"What kind of trouble." Skipper asked.
"Alexander, he's in trouble. We need to tell the Alpha."
"What happened to him?" Aora asked.
"I can't explain right now Aora, we must tell the Alpha first it's urgent." They both walk past them, leaving Leo, Aora and Skipper in the dust confused.
