An aircraft hovers above the razhdarchidae's nesting grounds. Kapurma and Zachary peer down over the destroyed wooded area. The crackle of the flames leaves an ominous feeling in the air. Bernard tosses a piece of tech toward Kapurma to wear. He says, "Kap put this over your face for the smoke. We rushed over here way too early and forgot to get you armor for the fire. Hopefully, this mask will be enough."
Kapurma tells Bernard, "Thank you for your concern Bernard, but I did come prepared with my own armor." Kapurma pushes a large button from the strap holding his staff on his chest and a cloak shoots out from it. Kapurma wraps himself in the cloak and then tells Bernard and Zachary, "My Inekium cloak should be enough to protect me from the enemy and this heat." Kapurma straps on his mask and puts on his cloak's hood then says, "Alright, let us see what our foe has planned for us. Shall we?" Zachary and Bernard both nod in agreement. They both activate their gear. Their helmets materialize over their armor, then all three head off of the airship and drop to the nesting floors.
While on the ground Bernard scans the area for any signs of life. He tells his companions, "There's no one here. No signs of life, no cold corpses, nothing." Zachary who's also scanning the area confirms what Bernard is saying and then tells his partners, "Where could the guy be? Plus where are his droids?" Bernard says, "I don't like the look of this. This was obviously some sort of trap. We had no choice but to abide by his demands and now he wants to play games?"
Bernard walks into the open with no cover to guard him. He screams out a message for their foe to be heard. He says, " COWAAARD!! ENOUGH WITH THESE GAMES!! You wanted a fight!? The fight is here now! Honor your end of your demands and come out and meet your challenge!" A moment of uneasy silence lingers as Sullivan screams out his statement. Then a voice echoes from the air laughing. It says, "Ha ha Barney Sullivan, nice to finally meet you. Tales of your mere presence being intimidating enough for your foes to surrender have not been exaggerated at all!"
Out of nowhere Bernard and the rest of his friends hear a loud gust of wind putting out a fire from a near-distant entry to a cave. The entire crew looks in the direction of the sound and see their foe in Victor's armor sitting on a bloody and beaten razhdarchidae's back. He tells the razhdarchidae, "STEP FORWARD!" The beast listens. The foe continues to tell the razhdarchidae, "Bow down!" The beast lowers its head allowing the foe to step off. He tells Bernard, "I'm trembling with excitement!"
He walks forward to meet Sullivan Eye to eye. The pugilist says to his foe, "Earlier you said it was nice to finally meet me. That's all I needed to hear...I knew you weren't him!." The armored foe tilts his head in curiosity. Then out of nowhere a right hook from Bernard Sullivan connects with Victor's helmet in a blink of an eye knocking the foe off balance. Bernard instantly puts his foe in a headlock and then says, "Let's find out who you are shall we!?"
Sullivan reaches for the helmet to yank it off. But to Bernard's surprise, he's kicked from behind. Knocking both of the fighters forward and at the same time ruining the opportunity Bernard had in revealing the enemy's face. Bernard looks up to see who delivered the kick and sees that it was the razhdarchidae his foe was riding on earlier. The beast's face grimaced in pain. Bernard examines the beast further and notices tech attached to its neck, arms, and legs.
Bernard tells his foe, "Ahh you're controlling them. Your cowardice knows no bounds. The razhdarchidae are proud beasts. We've had our disagreements but no one deserves to be controlled against their will. I'll just add this to your tab you foul excuse for a human being!"
Kapurma and Zachary rush toward Bernard but are stopped in the middle of their tracks. With a snap of the foe's fingers, more enemies reveal themselves behind the walls of the fire. The eyas droids are accompanied by more razhdarchidae who are wearing the same tech as the one who kicked Bernard earlier.
The foe laughs and says, "Hold on! We're making this a fair fight! No jumping in or me and my new friends will just jump in too!"
Both heroes pause for a moment to hear out their foe. Then a roar echoes through the air getting the attention of all in the nesting grounds.
Kapurma, Zach, and Bernard look over the direction the roar came from. To their surprise, they see the King of the razhdarchidae the self-proclaimed top of the food chain himself. King Raz, he's bloody and beaten. The beast screams, "BASTARD! You didn't finish the job! I'm still here!" Without hesitation, King Raz flies in the air and aims a dropkick at the enemy causing a collision of epic proportions. All the eyas droids rush in to attack the King and pull him off the foe. This results in Zachary and Kapurma rushing in to help King Raz.
The two friends run in and go back to back with King Raz. The King stands on his feet and looks at both of his allies. Then to Bernard's direction. Bernard nods to the king as he sees their foe getting back on his two feet.
The King focuses and accepts that for now at least, he has 3 allies willing to fight the enemy who set a roaring fire in his nesting grounds.
The three charge forward to the eyas droids and enslaved razhdarchidae while Bernard Sullivan fights the foe in Victor's armor.
With Sullivan, he smashes his metal-covered fist against the enemy while he returns the favor both knocking around their ribs and brain within their armor. Sparks fly as punches and kicks are blocked by both fighters. Bernard grabs his enemy by the neck and reveals a barrel of a gun on the gauntlets of his wrists.
Sullivan lets off an onslaught of shots to the enemy's face blinding him momentarily. The foe manages to release himself from Sullivan's grip. But is still blinded by Bernard's attack.
He looks around for Bernard and cannot make a good assessment of where he's at. Then The foe feels a slight touch through his armor's sensors on his armor's face plate. Before he could react. The touch turns to a deadly grip on the helmet. Then almost as if it were in a blink of an eye, Bernard rips the faceplate off and then delivers a powerful Right cross to the enemy's face. The foe falls back and Bernard tosses the front of the helmet to the ground. He tells his foe, "I made this helmet. The front part is latched on. No ordinary man but myself could tear it off."
The enemy now gushing blood from his nose and eye is covering his face from the one punch. Bernard tells his enemy, "Show me your face, you coward. Or I will force you by breaking your ribs!" The enemy laughs behind his hidden face. He takes a breath and then says, "I'm not covering my face. Just trying to stop the blood." The enemy cracks his nose setting it in place. He gives out a loud and hard snort. The foe spits out a red, and yellowish-colored phlegm. He tells himself, "That's better." The Villain then directs his attention to Bernard and points to his face then says, "You like the handlebar mustache? I only grew this because of you." Bernard asks his foe, "Who are you?" From a distance, Zachary catches a glimpse of the foe and is instantly frozen. But it's not with fear. He's frozen at the moment because the person beneath Victor's armor was none other than, AMARO MIDAS. The last man Zachary and his friends saw with Victor Hawkins before he went missing. The man who's been accused of delivering the killing blow to Elias Caine.
Zachary says his name through the comms placed in their helmets. Bernard hears this and says, "So you're the one who took my friend." Amaro says, " Yes and don't forget. I also killed the other one." Underneath his helmet, Bernard Sullivan's face grimaces in anger at that statement then charges forward.
Amaro smiles maniacally and says, "Screw it! The helmet was just to help me breathe in this fire. I'd rather fight the greatest hero the two world's ever known in a roaring blaze without a mask!
Amaro jumps in the air and pulls out a blade then dives heads first toward Bernard Sullivan his blade meets with Bernard's gauntlet, instantly blocking Amaro's strike. Amaro pulls back and attempts to strike Sullivan again. All strikes were blocked.
Amaro attempts to hit Bernard again but is grabbed instantly by Sullivan. Amaro lands a headbutt on Bernard's forehead.
Because of his helmet, little damage is taken from Bernard. But at the same time it breaks Sullivan's grip on Amaro allowing him to say, "You're pretty damn fast. Gotta say in terms of speed you live up to your legend old man!"
Bernard gets into an offensive stance. He clenches his fists, then electricity begins to emanate from both of his hands. He tells amaro, "It helps when your opponent's moves are predictable."
Unknown to Bernard, Amaro likes to absorb his opponent's blows and tests their blocking technique to establish a rhythm for the fight. And more dangerously he likes to absorb his opponent's hits to activate the blood lust virus coursing through his veins that was injected by his captor Sigmond during the war.
Amaro charges forward unloading a barrage of blows toward the legendary hero. He misses a few hits and gets caught with Sullivan's punches that are emanating electricity. Amaro grimaces in pain as the flow of the fight still goes.
With every landed shot and missed blow Sullivan feels the intensity and speed of his foe's attacks increasing every second. A swing from his sword misses Sullivan's head by a thin hair.
Bernard is bewildered at his opponent's increased ability. He asks himself, "Is this his tech?" Amaro jumps back and then throws his sword towards Bernard's head missing again by a thin hair.
The sword lands through a nearby tree. Amaro begins to trade blows with Bernard. Amaro takes a shot to land one. The one shot he lands begins to be two, Then three.
Sullivan backs off for a moment to reset himself. Amaro tells Sullivan, "Am I still predictable?" An armored punch connects to Bernards's jaw. The punch rocks Bernard. Even with armor on, the punch Amaro delivers drops Sullivan to one knee. Amaro lands a swift knee to the side of Sullivan's head knocking him to the ground.
Amaro calls his sword back. A surge of electricity emits from his armored gloves that connect to his sword and brings it back to his hand. Amaro wielding an electric gauntlet and sword gives his foe another kick.
He tells Bernard Sullivan, "Wow I thought it would be nice to pull out the electric gauntlet and sword if we were to fight. Great minds think alike! Haha! Earlier you called me predictable, and that might be true. But let me tell you something about you Sullivan. You're old news. People from our universe think you've been dead for a while now. And before the war. You've fought what, hundreds of fights, maybe thousands right? You see your boy Victor told me about you being alive here. Trying to cure yourself of all those battles you've had. You're still unable to find the right formula to cure you right?" Amaro sees Bernard still uneasy from the blows Amaro delivered to him. He laughs then continues to tell Bernard, "Imagine if the people of the 3 planets could see their fabled hero now. Punchdrunk and probably less than half the man he was. Well, good news for you Sullivan. You don't need to cure yourself anymore. I'm the cure! I'm the new you, sent here to end your suffering. Now die!"
Amaro raises his sword to deliver a killing blow to Bernard Sullivan. Zachary is currently occupied with his battle with Kapurma and King Raz. He sees this from a distance. He yells out, "NO!" Then charges forward to Amaro.
As Zachary breaks through the eyas droids and mind-controlled razhdarchidae an unidentified object can be seen through the air.
It alerts all eyas droids and Zachary through their helmet. Before Amaro notices the object, it lands on his sword. To everyone's surprise, it's a robotic arm. Zachary says to himself, "What?! Is that an aiutu?
Then to everyone's surprise what looks like a larger version of Elias's aiutu model lands in the middle of the fight. It calls back its arm yanking Amaro's sword with it. Then shoots a powerful blast from an arm cannon with its other arm.
Amaro blocks the shot with his armor. The shot still manages to damage his suit. Supremeo lands next to the larger aiutu. He looks over to it and says, "good work Maxwell. Now let's end this!"
Amaro stands on his two feet and then says, "Heh, well this is unexpected... Oh well the more the merrier!" As Amaro's enemies circle around him, the villain keeps a menacing smile on his face. He then yells out, "WAR HAWK!! ENOUGH WITH THE CHILDREN! HELP YOUR SAVIORS!"
Supremeo says to himself, "War Hawk? What's he talking about?"
A moment passes and then a strong gust of wind can be felt. As it breezes through, it makes the flames of the nesting grounds dance while the fight with the eyas droids and mind-controlled razhdarchidae continues.
Then a loud thunderous boom is heard. It looked as if it were lighting striking down the peak of the nesting grounds. The aftermath leaves all entryways to the razhdarchidae's caves destroyed leaving the top of the mountain they rest on with a flat surface.
Everyone looks up to where the caves were once and they all see a large figure encased in a protective field. The looming figure has a sword in one hand and another, the figure is holding 3 young bloody and beaten razhdarchidae by the tail.
Kapurma looks in horror and then says to himself, "What in the world is that!?"
The old tortoise notices the eyas droids have stopped fighting just like them. Kapurma also sees King Raz disturbed but with a rarely-seen hint of worry on his face. Kapurma has always beaten the razhdarchidae when they fought and never once saw an ounce of worry or fear on the beast's faces.
He assumes the King knows who this figure is. Kapurma asks the king, "Who is that?" The king replies in a tense tone. His voice shaking in nervousness says, "That's the damn monster that attacked us. It went for me first. Then my children. It looked man-made. Similar to your friend over there." King Raz points to Supremeo.
King Raz continues to tell Kapurma, "after it beat me that grinning fool with the curly mustache showed up. He kept referring to that monster by the name War Hawk." Then With sadness in his eyes. The King looks to the tortoise and tells him, "I know you look at these humans as your friends wise one. But with their ability to build something like this. I just have to ask, why? We just want to eat till we're full. But this thing is a monster. It killed my queen in front of me and then threw me out of my home. For what? What did we do?"
Kapurma gives an empathic look to the King then tells him, "I'm sorry you had to go through this your highness, I promise you after this fight. Well get your answers."
