The smile spread across his face as he stepped around me, and I gazed up when he ran his finger along a small vein on my throat.
I shivered, trying to remain still.
"Mm... tempting," he said then, breath dusting my skin. "The scent of your blood is intoxicating. I remember being so curious to taste it when we were kids, but I had self-control."
He came around my front and smiled, kneeling down. "Look at you, so small, aren't you? Such a frail figure with such hot and boiling blood." He lightly licked his lips. "Very, very tempting."
I watched him carefully. "So you'll do it?"
"On one condition," he said then, gazing up with a sinister smile. "You belong to me."
"W... what?"
"Your mind," he said, tapping my forehead. "Your soul." He tapped my chest. "Your body." He touched my nose. "Your blood."
I stared at him for a long moment before my lashes lowered.
It was a tempting offer, and I was desperate.
He was a good actor, I had to admit. Everything about him was alluring, though, I was on my knees before him.
But... I guess he could say the same of me. A perfect actress, alluring in many ways.
If I hadn't known who he was, I would've fallen for his act.
I'd already fallen for him, anyhow, I wasn't sure if he'd felt the same, honestly.
I'd been in love with him since high school no matter what blood he drinks and how he slaughters people.
But as of now... I was his. His to protect, his to take, his to claim.
His to kill.
My lashes lowered.
William Blaze... a liar, a faker, a cheater...
A demon.

WEEKS EARLIER...
I don't know what's happening.
It was a normal day at work, and I was working hard at my desk to get the next publishing scripts done, but... now my coworker Will's hands were flat on my desk around me, and he leaned over me with a curiosity I didn't know he had.
Will was my teammate; he sat in the same desk I worked at, but he was always kind of far away. He was closed in, cold, almost, and it seemed like he was so deep in that head of his, that I could've never talked to him.
Despite others, I personally liked him; I could tell this side of him wasn't his normal self, but I always kept quiet to give him some space.
And now... he was inches from my face.
So long for "giving him space."
*****
A few minutes earlier...
"Suki, have you gotten the recent paper done?" my boss asked me.
My boss was pretty; she was this tall, beautiful woman with gorgeous brown hair, and she always smelled like pineapples.
"Oh," I said, smiling softly, "not yet. That was my next task."
My boss smiled back. "Be sure to get it done by tomorrow, alright?"
"I was planning on staying late to get it done," I told her. "It shouldn't take more than ten minutes."
My boss just chuckled. "All right, but don't stay too late, okay? You need some rest."
She then left, and I glared down at my screen and cracked my fingers.
Five minutes later, I yelled out a cheer, throwing my hands in the air as I rocked in my seat, dancing to no music.
"Done!" I said, giggling. "Finally! Now I can go watch One Punch Man."
I then glanced down at my phone, lips parting when the time flashed, ten o'clock.
"Oh," I said then, narrowing my eyes down at the screen. "Postpone One Punch Man, I need to figure out what I'm eating for dinner."
I then stuffed my phone in my pocket and shuffled out my small purse from under my desk.
Right before I sat up, I heard someone call my name:
"Suki?"
I shot up, hitting my head against the table and I squeaked.
I just sat up afterwards and set my hand on my head, gently rubbing the skin as I pouted.
When my eyes locked on the male figure, my lips parted and I stopped rubbing.
"Will?" I said, tipping my head to the side. "What are you doing here? It's ten."
"I know," he replied, rolling his eyes, then he glanced back at me. "What are you doing here, Suki?"
I sputtered my lips, glancing back at my screen. "I had to finish this script for the boss. It took me a little, but I was planning on going home now."
Will hummed in agreement, regarding me.
I gazed up at him, tipping my head to the side. "Is something wrong?"
He just stared. "No, what makes you think that?"
I shrugged. "You have a strange look in your eyes. The same strange look every time I give you coffee in the morning." I went on then. "You always tell me, 'you don't have to get me coffee,' but I get it for you every day. Deal with it."
Will continued staring. "Suki."
"And then I also make sure I set some kind of bunny plush on your desk because you need a little cuteness in your life," I told him, sticking my tongue out. "Mister Will, so dark and mysterious, blegh. You know what I think?" I gazed up. "I think you're actually nice. You like sweet things which is the reason I dump sugar in your coffee every morning; it's nice to you." I tipped my head to the side. "You love cake, candy, chocolate, that odd substance of red in your fridge."
He blinked. "You notice all that?"
"Sure," I said, shrugging, "I have to know my coworker better, don't I?" I smiled sweetly. "How else would I buy him cookies in the morning?"
He set his hands on my desk, making my lips part.
I gazed up at him, slightly alarmed.
Will leaned over me, eyes glowing dangerously as his face remained inches from mine. "Date me."
We stared at each other for a moment, but his expression didn't falter.
I blinked. "Huh?"
He never replied, just kept his eyes on mine.
