“Here, you are,” the main boss, Sammy, said, slamming a bunch of papers on my desk. “All for you.”
She then smiled kindly and waved. “Sorry, but you get them done faster than all the others in here.”
I glared at her from behind when she walked off and disappeared back into her office.
I then glanced over at Will who watched my boss enter the office with lowered lashes.
He then glanced back at me, the look replacing with an amused one. “Do you need help with that?”
“Yes,” I said then, picking them up and slamming it on the table in front of him, “do it all. I’m going on break.”
He just smirked, eyes glowing a bright red when I stood and brushed off my pants. “Yes, my Angel.”
I gazed down at him. “Annoyed yet?”
His smile widened. “Far from it.”
I scoffed and turned, leaving to go get some coffee.
On my way there, one of the men in a cubicle shot his leg out but I didn’t see it at first, and I immediately tripped over it, yelling out before I fell forward.
I suddenly collapsed into a pair of arms, and I gasped, gazing up to find Will above me.
The man who tripped me snorted and started laughing, amused that he almost hurt me.
Will just caught my hips and set me back on my feet. “Are you alright?”
I nodded. “Yes.”
“Awww,” the man said, “the boss to the rescue. So adorable. A strong man with a little wimp brat. I was seriously hoping she’s sprain an ankle or some—”
Will suddenly flung a hand out, and the man gasped when a pair of scissors sliced into the wall right beside his eye.
He gazed over at it then, finding it miraculously stabbed into the head of his own picture he hung there.
He gazed over at Will then, face paling.
“Try it again and the doctors will have to surgically remove a stapler from your esophagus,” Will smirked, lashes lowering as his eyes glowed angrily. “And that wouldn’t be a pretty sight, will it? You’d never speak again… and then when you’re cornered by a murderer… that out to be very frightening indeed. You can’t scream for help, you poor little thing.”
He stared at Will then, breathing shakily. “I’ll report you.”
“Try it,” Will said then, smile widening, “I’ve been wanting to kill people, and need a feasible reason.”
He stared before looking back at his desk, typing on his computer frantically.
Will then gazed down at me, smiling. “Are you alright?”
“I think he shit his pants,” I responded, smirking. “I can smell the rot.”
“No, that’s just because he’s a disgusting pig,” Will responded, making the man glance back at us nervously.
“Now, about that break,” Will said then.
I gazed up. “You finished the work already?”
He just smirked. “I’m a fast typer.”
Yes, because he’s a demon, I thought.
“That poor keyboard,” I said then.
He just caught my arm. “Break time. Come, now, my lady.”
