As I continued searching through the survivors, explosions begun happening around us. Bits of rubble was starting to fall around us, as the two colliding ships entered the atmosphere. Panicking, I spotted a nearby cave and rushed the survivors towards it. Although some of the crew, and more injured of us were killed before we reached the cave. As we waited in horror, explosions continued happening around us. We heard animals screaming, and attempting to flee, and the mouth of the cave was eventually covered in fire. A few hours later, it was over. Those of us who survived waited for the fires to die down, and exited the cave.
Although the fires at the mouth of the cave had died down, most of the surrounding area was still ablaze. Bits and pieces of both ships covered the surrounding area, at what remained of the surrounding trees were laid flat against the ground, and burning. Leaving Zangar, and Nake to care for the survivors, Me, and Zita continued to search the crash zone. Looking above us, We could just about see the regime ship flying above us in the atmosphere, before it went out of our sight. As we climbed above a nearby hill, We saw a nearby village filled with people.
We went over to the village, and got their help, in moving the rest of the survivors to their village for help. The village's residents, a short, Reptilian species called the gnaters, told us that the regime had several times attempted to take over this part of the planet, but found that the environment was incredibly hostile, with several poisonous, and carnivorous plants, and hostile animals. Although they were never able to fully take over, there were still a few military bases dotted around the area, and the regime still says that they own the planet.
Soon after our injured were being taken care of, we were brought into the village center to meet with their leader, a more intimidating individual among their ranks, named Grondor. After making some brief introductions, I moved the conversation quickly to the continuing threat of the hunters, whose Ship had launched escape pods moments before being destroyed, which I had some of us had seen from our own pods, and we had no Idea where they had landed, although we knew that they must have landed somewhere nearby. Grondor didn't believe that the hunters would be able to survive the environment around the village since we had only survived due to the ship crash destroying nearby flora and fauna.
As night began to fall, we were given some temporary housing while the village residents figured out how to deal with us. They had no way of contacting the federation, and the regime was certainly not making onward travel any easier for us. As I rested in my room, I mourned Zangar and wondered what the hunters were doing at the time, and if the surrounding area was indeed deadly enough to stop their approach.

A few hours later...
6 of the hunters escape pods landed on the planet. As the group of around 250 looked around, they could see just in the distance the two ships crashing to the ground. The hunters started moving towards the crash site in order to search for any survivors. Before they got too far though, the ground around the begun to shake. As the hunters searched for the source of the disturbance, a massive creature burst from the trees and attacked them. Although there was a brief panic among the hunters, they were able to calm down, and fire upon the creature, killing it, leaving only 4 of them dead. They then continued their way to the crash site, reaching it just as it was getting dark
As night began to fall, they chose to set up a camp on the site of the crash. As it became darker, they could begin to see the lights from the village just over the hill. They sent some scouts over the hill and took some pictures of the entire area. By the end, they determined that there were only around 1000 residents in the village, including the survivors. they started to plan an attack on the village to commence the next night and began planting mines in the area surrounding the village< and placed snipers on many of the surrounding hills and trees. As the lights in the village slowly went out, one by one, the trap was finally set, and ready to be put into action, on the unsuspecting villagers, and survivors.
