I was still in bed with Nake when the lockdown order had come over the loudspeaker. Since our room was a temporary area due to the destruction of the living quarters, we headed to the closest place to our quarters which was able to lock. Zakarune's chapel. Nake as still recovering from her injuries, but she insisted she would be able to fight. I grabbed a pistol and some chips, and she did the same. After taking some supplies, and medical equipment, we headed down to the chapel, where we saw about thirty people crowded around the entrance. As we entered, Zakarune nodded at us and smiled. As the last of us entered, the door slammed shut and went through the lockdown procedures.
As Zakarune tried to calm the panicking residents despite being clearly panicking himself, me and Nake went around, helping those who were injured, and spreading out the equipment we had grabbed around the room After a quick count, we found that there were at least 15 people in the room who were injured in the recent attacks. Out of all of them, only six of them were armed. Strangely, Zakarune was not armed, along with most of his circle. He was apparently morally opposed to killing, an idea that he spread among most of his inner circle.
Despite being annoyed by this, we continued to help others. We tried to contact Nikai on the radio as well, but we got no answer. Something or someone was blocking the signal. After we told Zakarune about this, we heard several explosions in another part of the station. There were shouts and screams coming from around the station, as well but the began to quiet down. Soon, we heard footsteps echoing around us, and Nake, using one of our only tablets we had that was attached to the station mainframe, to see what was going on.
The explosions which had happened earlier had happened in all of the hangars, talking out most of the station's internal defenses. Several of the hunter's ships had finally docked after several hours, but after searching through all of the cameras, there was still no sign of them. I attempted to contact the war room again, and I was once agin unable to contact them. Zakarune’s circle had split up, and I went to talk to him, to come up with a plan in case of a large assault.
Between all of the people who were armed, six of them were injured, and four of those were to injured to move. Although the doors were meant to be secured, we have no idea how strong the hunters are, nor what technology they have, and thus wether or not they were able to get through the door. When Zakarune restated his dislike of killing, I found that the gun of one of the people who were to injured to fight had a stun feature on it, and handed that to him instead. We heard sounds of movement coming from outside the door, but when we glanced outside through the cameras, we were unable to see anything.
We started posting guards at the door, as sounds of movement coming from outside it began to increase. Far away gunshots started to be heard again, scaring everyone I the room onto a constant state of anxiety. With still no sight of the hunter group currently moving through the station, all we could do is wait. While I was watching the cameras, Nake pointed something out to me. Something was moving on it’s own! On closer inspection, we found that it was simply the effect of a cloaking device!
Realising that we must have been looking at them for the entire time we’ve been looking for them, I tried to look for any telltale signs of a cloaking device. Things moving on it’s own, sound of movement, knocking, anything, but we still had nothing. The hunters were being so stealthy in their movements. While we were still racking our brains for a solution, Zakarune mentioned a possible infrared setting on the camera. Realising the possibility of such an option, we immediately started searching for it.
We were eventually able to activate it after several hours of searching. We soon turned it on, and searched all the cameras. What we found was something terrifying. Throughout the entire station, there was at least a hundred hunters, stalking about the corridors. Some were outside the war room, some were still in the cafeteria, and about 40 were outside the chapel, moving around quietly, and quickly. We warned the others about it, but we were still outnumbered, and couldn't do anything about it. We watched as the hunters moved a humanoid figure into position outside the chapel, and slowly left the corridor, every once in a while turning back to check the door of the chapel, before finally turning a corner, and leaving. I switched the camera back to normal, and found that a Flashtrooper was standing in its spot
The flashtrooper stayed unmoving for a few more minutes, slowly swaying back and forth. At one point, Zakarune informed us that there was a way to. Override the current lockdown order from his end, but I told him to wait for my signal. Make started moving all of the injured, and children to the back of the room, and I, and the rest of the people who brought weapons slowly approached the door. Motioning to Zakarune to open the door, the slow unlocking process began. When the door swung open, we charged out, weapons at the ready. The flashtrooper was still standing when I approached it and tapped it twice, causing it to sway mildly. As we turned our back on it, we heard a small beeping. I immediately ordered everyone to get back as the armor fell forwards, and the beeping sped up considerably. I shut the door, but before the locking process could begin, a large explosion blew the door off its hinges, and a green gas came pouring in
