The search for the missing bodies began shortly after the results came in from the lab, identifying the missing people. Three of the them were Flashtroopers, and the other two were scientists. The warehouse was searched thoroughly, but still, there was nothing found. Jinola had ordered the remaining flashtroopers to try and contact, or in some way track the missing one's radios, and began trying to locate their armors. Both attempts came up with nothing, although the tracking continued. Cameras were checked, and rechecked, and soon the entire station was out searching for the missing bodies. Two hours later, we still had nothing. By this point, transport ships were starting to arrive to bring the bodies back to their home planet for burial
By the time the transports had arrived, I had sent the new report to the federation, and the search had pretty much died down. Almost every inch of the station had been searched, and there were still a few Flashtroopers still looking around. The transports had started to move in on the east docking bay. Zakarune was leading his congregation, and attempting to confort those who were close to the dead. As the transports began to leave, I heard back from the Flashtroopers that the last of the station had been searched, with still no results.
The transports began to leave the stations false atmosphere, and gravity pull. Zakarune led his congregation in a prayer circle, as they slowly moved back toward their church room somewhere at the station. Jinola told me that there were reports of unknown ships entering the area, and we should be ready for an attack at any moment. I started relaying orders to the flash troopers to start to patrol the area in the Zaganot, and was preparing to join them when the window I was looking out of was lit up by several explosions. The transports were being fired upon!
Before we could do anything, the station was rocked by similar explosions. Four ships flew past the window quickly. The turrets around the space station started firing, but the ships had already gone. The station was still on red alert and me and Jinola started heading back to the Zaganot to start patrolling the area. We took our seats up in the bridge, along with the rest of the crew. We set off from the hangar and used our scanners to search the area. Despite searching the entire five-mile radius around the station, we were unable to find them, and soon returned to the station.
The explosions we felt had come from the north side of the ship, so we headed there to check for any major damage. The north side mainly consisted of living quarters, compared to the rest which consisted of workspaces, laboratories, and warehouses, with the bottom level being used as an engine room. As we entered the living quarters, some of the scientists, and other residents going around, and asking what's going on. At the other end of the station, there was a small garage for more private vehicles. While searching the garage, we noticed that the door had been opened recently, by an unknown source. By the side of the room, I saw another unknown ship, similar to the ones we saw outside. They got inside!
Nake’s POV:
We were nearly done with our work for the day, when the station was suddenly rocked by several explosions. ”What was that?” I questioned. ”I don't know.” He responded. I went to go look around, but Zangar already left. Sighing, I returned to the work we were doing. There was a Small virus outbreak going through the ship at the moment, although it seems only affected the engineers or those who had been down in the engine room. I was still trying to identify the virus when I heard something moving in the back room. I quickly got up, and went to investigate it.
Opening the door, I turned on the lights and found it empty, up with only medications, and other medical supplies stocked on shelves surrounding me. I turned around to leave the room again, but the door slammed shut in front of me. Knowing that there was a lever to the door somewhere in this room, I turned back around. The purpose of the lever, when usually the only way to get in was from the outside is to prevent anyone from being locked in. As I searched for the lever, I realized that the only way to activate it is if someone had access to a keycard only given to staff on the ship, yet it must have been used to close the door in the first place. Before I could do anything, I was grabbed from behind and had a scalpel pressed against my throat.
