I awoke she seemed to be having a nightmare. “N-no” She whimpered. She kept saying things like “don't touch me and you bastard. I was concerned I started to wake her up and she slapped me. I guess with her hand meeting skin it was enough to wake her up. She was shaking and whimpering. “Are you okay?” I asked as I held her in my arms. “Yeah,” She said “Baby have you thought of talking to someone about this. Because you haven’t slept very well. She nodded "Do you have a therapist." She asked I shook my head no. "If you don't need one then I don't. I can handle this." I looked at her "Love, I am a 17,000-year-old demon. Of course, I can handle mental pain not well but I can handle it enough not to wake up screaming. You on the other hand are a 15-year-old human" I brushed some stray hairs behind her ears. “Love no offense to you but you need to talk to someone. You're just not strong enough to do it by yourself.” I looked at him “But-” He pressed his finger to my lips “No, don’t backtalk. You’re going to talk to someone, I don’t care if it's my goddamn brother. ,” I got up and stood beside her “You need to.” I say wiping tears from her face. She faced me “GODDAMMIT WHAT DO YOU WANT TO HEAR BLAKE! I WAS RAPED BY A MAN WHO I THOUGHT WAS A FATHER! GOD DAMMIT BLAKE I’M NOT JUST GOING TO TALK ABOUT ALL MY CHILDHOOD TRAUMA AND HOW I USED TO GET BEAT IF I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WHILE! BLAKE, YOU HAve to understand this is something that hurts me not something that can be fixed immediately.
