"Come on in." says Milo. He steps aside so I can walk into the house. The smell of muffins fills my nose, and a mix of honey. He ushers me to the living room; I sit across from him on the couch.
From the way he sounded on the phone, he was eager for me to come over and talk to him. I watch him as he pours some more light gold tea into a cup. The stream circulates throughout the air. He pops in some sugar cubes and leans back onto the couch. He observes me up and down, then begins talking.
"Do you know why I called you over?" He asked blowing on his tea.
"Honestly. . .no. But I'm sure it has something to do with Quinneth." He gives me a nod, I knew it.
"It does. When Quinneth's parents died, I made a promise to them. To care for Quinn, and protect her at all cost. With her being a key link to The First Power, she's instantly in danger and I can't have anything bad happen to her." I can hear the seriousness in his voice. I, also, don't want Quinn to be in any danger.
"I feel the same way Count. Not just because she's my mate, but because she's a good girl and deserves to live a life outside of this. . .mayhem." I pan my hands around the room, they whirl around like helicopter blades.
"Glad we agree." He sits this tea on the coffee table. "I need you to take her away from here." My eyes widen, I wasn't expecting that.
"Uhhh." I let out a hoarse laugh. "Where do you want me to take her? Like out of the country or something." He waves his hands at me, indicating a no. More of a hell no.
"Do you still have that apartment up in San Francisco?" He asked.
"Yeah." I replied.
"Take her there. Get her away from all of this. I want her to have a nice time, after all it is Spring Break." He finishes up his tea, and pours some more in the cup. He asks me if I wanted a cup, I politely declined.
"Yeah, sure I'll do that. Are you ok with this?" I say wary of him.
"Obviously, I'm the one who brought it up." He said in a duh tone.
"No, it's just me and Quinn will be. . .you know alone. And I know in the past you've been against it." When he found me in the broom closet, he freaked out. I'd never seen Quinneth so scared of her grandfather before. And then I accidently told him I've been in her bedroom, alone with her. The moment those words left my mouth, I instantly regretted it.
A wavery smile pops us on his face, "Trust me I've thought about with, quite a lot actually. I know that you're still a guy with. . .sexual urges. But I've known you since you were a babe, you won't try anything with her."
"And how do you know that?" I asked curiously. With everything going on me and Quinneth haven't been able to be intimate with each other. Hell, haven't even been close to being intimate. Everyone is getting killed, and new people coming out of the wood works with all types of stuff.
"Because your scared of me." Is all he says, giving me and evil look.
"You. . .got a point there. Speaking of Quinneth, where is she?" We've been talking for quite a while now, mostly about her, and I haven't seen her. The last time we texted she said she was at work, then was going to return some library books. From then I haven't heard anything.
"She'll be home in a few. She spent the night at Lyra's, long night." She didn't tell me she was at Lyra's house last night, probably didn't think it was that important to tell.
While waiting for Quinn, we spent the next few minutes talking to each other. I talked about how everything at the pack was going, and he talked about his relationship with Irene. The first time I met her was when me and Quinn had our little. . .make out session. She came over to get his heart medicine, and we had a nice conversation.
From the few minutes we talked she was really nice. I learned, from Quinn, that she was her bosses' boss at The Tribune where she interns. She's been dating Count for a little over 2 months, she says he's the love of her life.
The Quinneth, enraged, came and broke up our pleasant conversation. That was the first and last time I talked to Irene. Looking towards the front of the house I see the doorknob moving, the key enters in the key hole jiggling around. In walks Quinn, her curls are wrapped up in a bun on top of her head. Her clothes look ragged and wrinkly, she must have slept in them.
"Hey, what are you doing here Alexander?" She asked, her voice sounding rough. She didn't realize that her grandpa was also in the living room with me until she walked further in.
"Just. . .having a chat with your grandfather." I tell her.
"About me, I'm assuming. You both don't really have a lot in common." Her grandfather pats the seat next to him. She sits her bag by the chair near the window and takes a seat next to him.
"With everything going on, I want you to get away from here." She looks at me, then her grandpa confused by everything.
"Ok. . .so where are we going?" She asked him. She thinks that there going somewhere together. Oh baby.
"No, we aren't going anywhere with each other." He points between the two of them. "You and Alexander are." Her face scrunches up.
"You want. . .me and Alexander to go away alone. Without you or anyone else." She had the same tone of voice that I did.
"Alexander asked the same thing. Look, I trust you, I even trust him. I want you away from all this. It's your Spring break, you need to be a teen for once." She works this over in her head.
"What about work?" She asked.
"I called Ida, she said she'll give you a few days off."
"I- I got school and stuff." She musters out.
"Quinn, it's Spring Break." I said chiming in. She cuts her eyes towards me, letting me know I'm not helping. Leaning back on the couch, I let her speak.
From the way she's bringing up excuses, I could tell she was nervous. Like she was leaving before having to do something important, what is she hiding?
"Fine, I'll go." She raises up from the couch and goes up to her room. Most likely to go pack her things.
Quinneth's P.O.V.-
"Welcome to my apartment." Alexander's strong arm pushes open the front door of his apartment. My eyes fill with wonder, this is the nicest apartment I've ever seen in my life.
"This can't be yours." I say in disbelief.
"I have the key, and I pay the bills so it kind of is." I give him a smack on the shoulder, he's always trying to be sarcastic.
"I know that Mr. Sarcastic, it just is so nice that's all." In the entrance way is a narrow hall with paintings on the wall. It's paintings of places like Italy, Paris and France. Opposite of us is a nightstand with a wooden bowl sitting on top of it. Walking further in, tons of sunlight bathes over mine and Alexander's body.
The windows stand at 6 foot tall. Since his apartment is in the city, you can see tons of tall skyscrapers and cars going from one place to another. In the living room it's pretty barren. A white couch, rug, coffee table and a TV. If I didn't know this was his place, I would have assumed this was all a set up for people who are looking for a new place to live. It's clean, and pristine.
"It is rather nice. I don't come here often, if I stay late at the office then I'll stay here overnight so I don't have to drive home."
"Why didn't you tell me about this place?" I asked walking around his apartment. Sliding my hand across the painting.
"Didn't think it was worth telling about. The bedroom is right that way." I walk into his room and sit my bag on the bed with the light grey comforter. The curtains are black, blocking out all the sun in the room. The only thing in here is a dresser with some pictures sitting on it and a hamper with no dirty clothes in it. Across the hall is a bathroom.
"You like it?" I turn around to see him lingering in the doorway, admiring me admiring his place.
"It's nice. Really nice." Is all I could say.
He leans off the doorway and walks across the room to me. His hands wrap around my waist, as his head nuzzles in between my neck. Taken away by his gesture, I wrap my arms around his neck and let him hold me.
After a few minutes pass by, I break the silence. "So, am I the first girl you invited here?"
His head comes from between my neck, his brows furrowed. "Yes."
"Really?" I ask in disbelief. Not that I think Alexander is some sort of player or anything, but he has dated and obviously is not a Virgin. It's hard to believe that I'm the only girl that has been here. Has seen his bedroom, felt the soft comforter between my fingers.
His hands on my waist disappear, "Why is that hard to believe?" Such distaste laces his voice.
"It- it's not. I just am shocked that's all. I know you've dated before, it just is strange that you never brought a girl here before. No biggie." My eyes look around the room again, taking in the masculine smell that fills it.
He sighs in content and stands next to me, his eyes focusing on anything else in the room but me. "I barely ever come here, only staying if I worked late at the company. If I did- you know- mess around with a girl it was usually her place." He was telling me the truth.
I look up at him, "Am I the first human you ever dated?"
His eyes look down at me, all the wonders of him swarming in them. "You are Quinn." I smile to myself. It's nice to be the first SOMETHING for him.
"Are you doing ok there?" My grandpa asked me over the phone. His voice filled with nervousness and worry. Was he regretting sending me out here with Alexander, alone?
"I've only been here for like 3 hours, and you're the one who wanted me to go. Are you regretting your decision now?" I can feel him shaking his head over the phone. This is the second time he has called me; Alexander and I are kind of getting annoyed by it.
I understand that he wants to make sure I'm ok, but I don't think anything will happen tonight. Were just going to stay in, watch a movie and eat dinner. There really isn't anything interesting to do in San Francisco right now. It's meant to be a stay in night, just the two of us.
"No, no I'm not. Just. . .call me if anything happens ok."
"Sure." On the phone I can hear someone speaking over a speaker. ". . .Dr. Worthingshire to Room 105." The woman on the speaker voices.
"Grandpa, are you at work?" I asked.
"I couldn't stay in the house. Irene's out with friends, and I needed to catch up on work anyways."
"It sounds like your needed, call me tomorrow?"
"You got it. Bye honey." He speaks.
"Bye." I say back. Hanging up the phone, I see Alexander in his all-white kitchen walking around hastily. For the past hour he's been whipping up a meal, what that is, I have no idea. He won't let me into the kitchen, but he is letting me stand on the outskirts of it. Around his waist is a flowerily kitchen apron.
He looks up from his cooking to see me staring at him. Trying to uncover the hidden recipe he was conjuring up in there. "Hey, turn around. I don't want you to see what I'm making yet." He ushers his wet hands to turn me around. I comply and turn, slowly, so I can try to make out what he's making. Nothing was discovered.
"Come on, Alexander. It smells amazing if that helps." I tell him. He scoffs behind me, not buying me sucking up to him.
"You're not going to see what it is. Just. . .look out the window I'm almost done." While he gets the food ready I do just what he says and stare out the window. With it being night, it's actually quite beautiful outside. The lights from the many tall building light up in the inside. Some buildings Christmas lights are still up. The many colorful lights shine bright and reflect off my glasses.
When I was packing up all my stuff, I forgot to bring my contacts and contact solution. So, now I have to wear my big, geeky glasses from freshman year. I look like Urkel from Family Matters, but modern. Behind me I hear him moving around erratically, sounds of plates, forks and glasses clank on his all-white table. The all-white table that looks like it hasn't been used in months, most likely ever.
"You need help?" I ask him. It sounds like he needs help.
"I got it. I'm a big boy, I'm almost done." The mystery food he makes, the smells fill the room around us. I can make out some of the smells, onions, and some spices. Whatever he's making I'm convinced it's going to smell good. "Ok, now I'm ready. Close your eyes."
"But I don't wanna." I whine. My stomach starts to rumple, I push my hands on it trying to silence it.
"Your stomach is growling, indicating you're hungry. The longer you defy me, the longer it takes to eat." His arms wrap around my waist, pulling me flush to his chest. I can feel his breath breathing smoothly onto the nape of my neck. His manly smell engulfs me, I'm entranced. "Now, close your eyes." Reluctantly, I close my eyes. The part about me being hungry is what moves me to comply. While his one hand is on my eyes, the other is directing my hips to the chair.
My hands feel out for it. A pointy part of the chair pokes my hand, I wince out in pain. "You alright?" Alexander asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I find the seat of the chair and pop a squat. His hands come from my eyes, but I keep them close. He walks over to his chair; I can feel him moving stuff around.
"Ok, now you can open your eyes." I open them to see a beautiful scene. Two thin candles sit in the middle of the table, the candle fire moves around to the air. On the side is a pot filled with water and it has Lotus flowers hanging out of it. The beautiful pink colors set the mood for the whole evening. All the silverware, plates and glasses are neatly organized on the table.
"Alexander- this is amazing. So beautiful and the meal smells good. Wait. . .what is this?" It's a swirl of vegetables with some sauce rolling off of it. "Oh my god, this is not what I think it is."
"It is." Is all he says.
"Ratatouille." He nods. "How did you know I've always wanted to try Ratatouille?"
"When I picked you up from The Tribune that one time I talked to Lyra. You were late coming out so we conversated. At the time I wanted to make you a nice meal so I asked what's something you wanted to eat but never tried. She then told me about Ratatouille." He explains.
"Thank god for Lyra. I didn't know that Ratatouille was made out of vegetables."
"What did you think it was made out of?" He takes a slug of his water. His Adams apple bobs up and down as he does so. The stubble prickles against the edges of the cup.
"Like sausage or something." He gives me a dumbfounded look. "Hey! Don't judge me, cartoons don't make food look like it does in real life."
"Just eat your food." I pick up my sterling fork and pluck two vegetables with it. The sauce drips off of it. Putting it into my mouth, all the flavors mix together. Creating this mixture of pure tang. "How is it?"
"Exquisite." I plucked up some more food, it's so good that I can't get enough.
We spend the rest of the evening just eating and enjoying each other's company. The meal was so good I had to go for seconds. I was so close to getting a third, but my skirt would have busted open. I can't believe he could cook so well.
"Who taught you to cook?" I asked Alexander. Currently were laying on his couch. His arm is wrapped around my shoulder as I lay against his shoulder. The only movie on TV right now is Phantom of the Opera.
"My grandfather." His voice comes out small. He sounds. . .tired. "Besides being an amazing Alpha, he was a good cook."
"I wish I could have met him." In the corner of my eye, I see him give me a weird look. I bet his grandfather looked just like him, and his father of course.
"Wish you could have?" There's a pitch to his voice.
"Yeah, he's dead." I replied to him. I readjust myself in his arms and turn around to face him. Our noses practically touching each other.
"No, he's not. He lives in Europe with my grandmother." Wait, their BOTH still alive. This whole time I thought he was dead.
"You've got be kidding me. The way it came out it seemed that he was dead." My voice raises a little as I say every single word.
"I gave no indication." He laughs. "You just heard it wrong." He kisses me on the lips and focuses his eyes back on the TV. Giving my cheek a light smack.
"I know what I heard." I mumble under my breath, my arms cross around my chest.
"Obviously you heard wrong." He also mumbles. I look up at him, a stern look paints my face. He just chuckled under his breath as his eyes stay glued to the TV.
"What was that?" I asked.
He shakes his head, "Oh, nothing."
"No, no it was something." I climb onto his lap, my legs straddle his waist. He's taken back by his, his hips adjust under me trying to make this position less sexual than what it was. "You are such a liar."
"No I'm not." He sneers.
"Are to."
"Are not."
"Ar-." Before I'm able to finish my sentence, Alexander's lips collide with mine. I could taste garlic and black pepper in his mouth, and his natural taste combined with it drives me insane.
My hands tangle in his black curls as he moans in my mouth, those hands I know and love push me down onto his hips. A sharp poke nudges against my leg, and I know exactly what it is.
"Someone's excited." I mumble against his lips. My hips involuntarily grind against him, since I have no shorts underneath my skirt he can feel me. ALL of me.
"Quinn, damn." Is all he says as my hips grind more and more. I moan a little.
"You like that?" I say seductively. He only moans, which tells me he does. "You feel so hard." I whisper in his ear. His grip on me tightens even more, gliding the pallet of his finger on my spine.
After a few minutes he lets go of my lips, those black eyes move from my face, to my chest down to my waist. He says," We can't do this."
I look at him with a confused expression," Do what?"
He gestured his hands between us," This Quinn. I told your grandpa we wouldn't do anything sexual tonight." He groans.
"You promised him we wouldn't have sex. Do you plan on having sex with me tonight?"
"WHAT?! No- I want to, REALLY want to. The way you were grinding your hips made me-." He stops himself, but then collects his thoughts. "No sex."
I shrug my shoulders and rub my hands against his chest, "Then we're doing nothing wrong, just a boyfriend and a girlfriend enjoying each other." My lips land back on his, he doesn't stop to talk anymore, but indulges in it. That tongue I know and love glides across my bottom lip, then swivels into my mouth. Touching ever nook and cranny available for him.
We devoured each other, taste each other and touch all over. His hands running down my sides, back and legs. As his length grows more and more and he becomes confident he ends up playing with the lining of my underwear. I gasp.
I let go of his lips, my eyes travel down to his finger. "Alexander?" I question.
"Yes, Lotus?" I squirm from him calling me by that name. His name for me.
"Wha-What are you doing? You've never touched me that close before, unless you count the bedroom." His warm hands move along my hip bone, creating jolts of electricity coursing through my body.
A deep chuckle erupts from his lips.
"I remember that, you felt good too. So warm and wet." He puts emphasis on the words. "Want me to touch you again?" His hooded eyes look at me for a response. Every since that day in my bedroom I can't forget about it.
No one ever made me feel that good, never made me crave anything, to get touched like that before.
"Do you want to?" I bite my lip, his eyes stayed glued to the movement, eyes become hooded with lust and desire.
"The real question is- his lips comes to my ear- do you want me to?" I nod so quickly I thought my head was going to roll off my neck and onto the floor.
"Ok, then." Before his hand moves to my sensitive area, I stop him. "You change your mind?"
"No, I just- don't use fingers, please. I'm a Virgin." He nods and begins to lift up my skirt.
"I know." Before anything starts, he laughs.
"What's so funny?" I already feel vulnerable and him laughing does nothing for my ego.
"You have the days of the week underwear." OH SHIT, this is so embarrassing he's going to think I'm a little kid or something. I quickly pull down my skirt, shielding him away from it.
"STOP! They were on clearance at Walmart." I whine. "You must be turned off now."
"On the contrary I'm not. These undies make you 100 times sexier." A blush spreads across my cheeks. "Now, lift yourself up." I do as he says.
His hands yet against lift up my skirt, my womanhood on display for him. My breath hitches as his finger pushes down my underwear and crawl inside them. When he touches me, a small whimper escapes me. I lower myself back down as his fingers work on me. As he does this, we look directly at each other, not breaking eye contact.
"Ive barely touched you and your already wet." He whispers to me. Those fingers work against me moving slowly up and down. I can't control the moans leaving my lips it feels so good. "Does it feel good?" He asks. All I do is nod.
"No, Lotus. I need to hear you say it. Tell me it feels good to have my fingers touching you down there. Rubbing you, finger fucking you." The pace of his fingers start to quicken and my hand pinches down on the couch cushion.
"It- it feels r-really good Al-al-Alexander." I try to muster the words out. My hips start to grind with his fingers. His free hand stops the movement.
"No grinding Quinn." He says with a stern voice.
"Bu-." I start.
"No buts. Don't grind." I just nod my head. "You listen you me, got it."
"Yes." I breathe.
"Good girl, you look so sexy right now."
"I know." I say with a smirk on my face. He pushes his fingers more against me moving faster than he has before, bringing out more noises I didn't even know I could make.
A strong force starts building up inside of me, I feel as if I'm going to burst. I know what this is. "I think I'm going to come Alex." I can't even say his full name.
"Oh really?" He smirks.
"Yeah. I'm coming!" I whimper. My eyes start to roll back as his fingers ram against me. I grip his shoulder and arm, slowly quickening his pace by riding his fingers.
"What did I tell you, Quinn." He growls.
"I-I can't help it."
"Look at me, I want to watch you come." I focus back on him, my head becoming light as my body releases the strong force within me. "That's it lotus, come on my fingers."
"Ahhh Alexander ohhhh." I moan loudly as I clutch onto his shirt. A warm pool releases from my body on his pants. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!"
He removes his fingers that are soaked. "I'm so sorry." I mumble.
"Don't be." And he sticks his fingers in his mouth. Damn, he's so fucking hot right now. I watch the fingers slowly lick up all my juices.
"And sorry about your pants." Our eyes move down to the giant wet stain on them. He just laughs as my head sits in the crook of his neck.
"You shouldn't be embarrassed, most girls wish they could squirt like you did." My eyes widen.
"I-
"Yeah, you squirted all over me. Never thought you would be one, guys pray for girls like you." He kisses me on the lips and moves me to sit on the couch. I pull up my underwear.
"Hey, I'm going to go take my shower and go to bed. Will you be fine?" We finally finish cleaning the kitchen. It took no time since he only had like 10 dishes here, literally only 10.
"Yeah." While he goes into his room, I think to myself. Sudden realization overcomes me, I forgot to bring the necklace. The black lotus necklace that I need for the ritual. King Yount said it was muy importante. I need to make up a lie, something that he will believe.
"Alexander!"
"Yeah." He screams back from the showers.
"I have to go out for something."
"What for? Wait for me to get done I'll go with you."
"Trust me, you don't want to come. And I need it now."
"It can't be that important Quinn."
"It's tampons." Suddenly the apartment is quiet.
". . .Ok call me when you get there." Was all he said. Going into the kitchen I grab the keys to his car and head out the door.
