"Ooh," Sebastian said as I rolled my eyes, currently working at my desk, 99Please respect copyright.PENANATNZr06qaIF
"math homework. Lame."
I glared over at him. "Can you ever not break into my house at night?"
He shrugged. "Got nothing better to do."
"Get a job," I muttered, scratching down notes. "Get into a club."
"I have a job," he replied. "I just don't work until later, and I'm not into... clubs."
"Then start one," I suggested, "call it, The Stalker's Institute: the club for stalkers."
"Haha," he said, "real funny."
"It would give you something to do," I replied, "other than follow me everywhere and scare the shit out of me."
"It's kind of fun," he said, stepping up and sliding onto my desk.
Right as I moved on, he shut my math workbook over my hand, and I glared up at him. "Do you mind?"
"I do," he responded. "Question, by the way. Do you perhaps... know if any weird things have been happening?"
I blinked, then narrowed my eyes. "Weird how?"
"Scary people following you in the dark and hurting you; ones you claim look like me." His expression was neutral.
"What am I looking at right now?" I said then, trying to open my workbook, but he placed his hand over it.
I glared up at him. "I have things to do."
"And I intent to get an answer," he replied, eyes darkening.
"My mom will be home soon," I told him.
"Her flight lands at three in the morning, Skye," he replied. "It's currently eight in the evening. I think we have time."
I sighed, lowering my head. "You know how creepy it is that you know all this?"
"Skye," he warned, "answer my question. Has anyone 'who looks like me' attacked you recently?"
I glared at his mocking tone. "Since when?"
"Since the encounter." He touched the bandage through my collared shirt, and I shrank away, pulling the collar back up to hide it.
I shook my head. "No, can you leave me alone?"
"What color was his eyes?" Sebastian questioned me.
I gazed up. "What?"
"You started this 'it was me' thing with commenting on eyes," he explained.
I only shook my head. "Can you leave me alone? I'm not in the mood for this right now."
He kept his hand over my closed workbook. "Answer the question."
I sighed, shaking my head again. "His eyes were... black. But they didn't have the same black as you."
"And?" he said.
I glared up at him. "Why do you—"
"And?" he repeated more urgently.
I just gritted my teeth. "Your eyes have weird specks in them... his were just plain black. Can you leave me alone now?"
Sebastian sat up fully, watching me with dark eyes as he clearly was attempting to get some sense of the situation.
"Skye," he told me.
"Can you let me do my homework?" I questioned him.
"No," he replied shortly, "you said he looked like me?"
"Yes," I said, shaking my head.
"But he had black eyes. Are you sure they were black?"
"Yes," I said then, "at least... in the dark, yes."
Sebastian watched me, blinking slowly as he muttered something.
I gazed up. "What?"
"You can do your math homework now," he told me, slipping off my desk. "Just know I'm watching you all night."
"Because that's not unsettling or anything," I muttered, opening my math workbook again.
"And yet, you don't seem fazed anymore," he told me, and I glared at him.
"Do I have a choice?" I questioned then, arching a brow.
"No," he replied, smirking.
"Exactly," I said, staring back down at my book as I got to work on the last problem.
He chuckled lowly. "That means you accepted it. Good to know."
I shot back up to retort, but he was gone.
I shrank back in my seat, looking around my room.
How did he keep doing that? Did he just teleport or something?
I only sighed and shook my head.
Math homework first... worrying about Mister Stalker later.
