It's nearly December.
That thought is holding me onto sanity, for how long have I waited for these long-expected winter holidays? Ah, the joy of walking in the cold streets of Paris at -2 degrees Celsius! I can hardly wait.
But before I get that well-deserved pleasure (and a haircut, and beauty shopping, and family things), I have to work.
First, I have SIX and a class performance this Friday. Then, I have a Science test coming up that I should probably start revising for, as well as Hansel and Gretel on the 3rd of December, Battle of the Bands on the 6th of December, not to mention a dentist appointment the day before I'm due to leave to France.
Help.
This was a very action-packed term, not going to lie.
It still is.
So to think about what I'm going to do when I get to France is keeping me aloft. I can't wait for all of the beauty shopping me and my mum are going to do, all the visits of beautiful monuments, and then time with my dad's family (sure, I'll be spending a day with my mum's family, but I don't like them that much).
Very, very fun.
I need to lock in, though. If I don't, that basically spells disaster with a capital D. I'm currently in such a bad 1D phase, it's not funny. I've gotten into other bands like Maneskin as well. Less solo songs from 1D, though. Don't ask me why. It's my brain.
Today was pretty basic, except we had a lockdown drill during P.E. We literally had to hide in a Sports Science classroom under desks for 15 minutes because my school in Singapore, which is one of the safest countries in the world, wants to practice in case a crazy guy comes in with a gun and starts shooting us.
Realistic, my ass.
I mean, I understand in most Western countries like the U.S. where school shootings are very common, but in Singapore, with all the heightened security and harsh punishment enforcement? Please. If you deal drugs here, you're a dead person walking. If you vape, they'll throw you in prison/escort you back to your home country.
Anyway, it was boring, especially that we had to be very silent and still, otherwise our P.E. teacher would start shushing us and threatening to keep us in after school.
After school, I was supposed to have a Hansel and Gretel rehearsal, but it got cancelled. I had a piano class afterwards, though, so I did not complain. My band was pretty low-effort today so the singer got mad at me, the bassist and the drummer.
Joy.
Honestly, I'm too tired to write a lot today, so I hope you enjoyed today's issue of my weird newspaper/diary/delusional thought tracking journal. Until next time!
