I had my English assessment today.
It was pretty easy; we had to analyse an unseen poem from Simon Armitage called 'The Clown Punk' and then we had to write an essay about how Armitage presents the idea of someone not fitting into societal norms.
Right up my alley.
Except all the other classes focused on another poem and another question. And they all did the same poem and the same question. We were the odd ones out.
Bloody unfair.33Please respect copyright.PENANAGUNJ3bVKIZ
Anyway, I'm trying to convince my parents to buy me Converses, so I've been watching videos on how certain models compare to one another. Honestly, I think I'm going to go for the normal ones. They're not too expensive and apparently they remade their models a year ago to make them more comfortable.
And I've finally decided that I want to try and remake my wardrobe into one particular aesthetic: downtown girl. I feel like it's exactly what I want; band T-shirts, baggy jeans, baggy cargoes, an emphasis on music and reading...
Sounds like me.33Please respect copyright.PENANA6jO9SCdIea
I'm going to start to rebuild my wardrobe and clear stuff out, because I'm pretty sure I have clothes from when I was eight or nine somewhere in there. It's a living monster at this point. I probably need to throw out my cargoes too because they're getting old and one of them has stains on the edges of it. Oh well.33Please respect copyright.PENANAbib0SXjRn1
Also, leather jackets are so expensive. I've even tried thrifting stores (both online and in real life) and it's a pain in the ass. Why are they so expensive? One was $80 and it was literally torn in places and stained. Like? And don't get me started on 'vegan' or 'faux' leather. That dies in less than a year.
I love the aesthetic of a leather jacket (and it matches downtown girl, heehee!) but if it's that expensive, I'm going to have to buy a faux or vegan leather jacket. It might not last as long, but it's cheaper. Not sure if it's better for the environment either, but leather is horrid for the environment, so...
No difference there.
Band T-shirts are also a must, so I'm going to have to pay a trip to H&M or Cotton-On soon. They've got amazing Nirvana T-Shirts and sweaters, and I love Nirvana. I also love bands like The Neighbourhood and the Ramones, but I'm not sure if most retail stores actually carry any band T-shirts from them. Arctic Monkeys is mid, and I can't find any aesthetic One Direction shirts.
Oh well.33Please respect copyright.PENANAzTtApMB3Nf
Red nail polish will be doable, because my mum offered to take me to the nail salon before we go to France for Christmas, so I might just ask for red nail polish there. But I love French tips as well... is this what they call first-world problems? I can relate so much to those.33Please respect copyright.PENANAlJbxweFL4U
