I am officially grief-listening to One Direction songs as well as Liam's solo songs.
I'm mostly listening to Night Changes (he had such beautiful vocals on it) and History because they're pretty sad songs, as well as No Control because hey, I appreciate Liam's writing skills.
No one knows if he committed suicide, so I'm holding on to that thought. It hurts to think that one of your idols hated himself so much he would do that. Poor Liam.
Moving on to happier thoughts, I realise how much I love Quotev. Sure, it's all weird now, and we don't have groups or messages anymore, which is really annoying, but it's still lovely. I love it still.
To be honest, I love the people here. How could I not?
If you're reading this, you're on Quotev. No one cares if you don't use it, or if you don't have an account. You know that this amazing website exists, and that's good, isn't it? I love how supportive people are, and how it's smaller than Wattpad so it's a relatively positive and nice community. At least, the people that I've met here are nice.
Johanna, my big sister. AJ, my twin and best friend. Others too, all the girls from the Directioners! group, and so many more people I met thanks to Harry Potter or Percy Jackson or even some Game of Thrones fans.
I just want to say that if old Quotev came back, it would be perfect.
To the admins, please bring the messages and the groups back. I miss them. It was nice having them. You could interact with others so much easier. Now we have to resort to public comments, and so can't say what we really think because we're scared of being judged.
I miss having conversations with my friends that no one except them could judge or read. It's annoying.
Imagine someone is your stalker and wants to snoop on your privacy. Now, on Quotev, they can, because every conversation has to be in public comments and so everyone can see it. They can see what you think or what you believe, and if they look at all your followers they see who you interact with, who you support, etc.
Imagine someone was for Donald Trump and against Kamala Harris. They would be interacting with people who are genuinely of that mindset. But instead of keeping their conversations with people who accept it, others could see. Now, I'm not saying supporting Donald Trump is a good thing (in fact, in my opinion, it's quite the opposite) but I feel bad that people can be so easily judged for what they think and who they support.
From personal experience, now whenever I reply to a comment, I'm scared that someone who hates One Direction reads it, and then starts to reply saying that they suck, when I was having a relatively private conversation with my friend who was also a Directioner.
Overall, it's just removing privacy on a writing website that has managed to maintain it up until a month or two ago.
So let's bring old Quotev back, please.

EDIT: This story/blog is also published on Quotev, which is why I'm ranting about how horrible the update on Q is. Anyone else came on Penana to run away from horrible Quotev?53Please respect copyright.PENANA9eonShLb4t
