*¹：糖漿三明治一如字面上，就是將吐司淋上甜甜的糖漿、然後對半摺的當成三明治吃的簡易食物，在這裡衍伸意為Kendrick過去貧困潦倒的生活。

*²：這裡很調皮，“俄羅斯方塊”藏了性方面的意涵——將“柱狀物”塞入“洞”裡，然後不斷消去連成一線的方塊，畫面推進像是在“搗”什麼一樣，很有創意。

*³：man-man是Kendrick的父母兒時取給他的小名，意思是小時候就很成熟，是個小大人；至於與它押韻的Sandman（沙男）是指舞台上有表演者表現不好、導致觀眾不滿，就會有sandman出現載歌載舞轉移注意，順便將該表演者請下台。

*⁴：AC是指冷氣（Air-conditioning），但加後面的“ayy（發音為A）”就是“ACA”，美國的《平價醫療法案》（Affordable Care Act），又叫做歐巴馬健保，所以下句詞旋即提到歐巴馬。

　　上一首PRIDE.聽起來輕聲細語很謙虛，這一首HUMBLE.卻聽起來如雷貫耳很傲慢。整張專輯就是在把玩這種矛盾與雙面性，從歌詞也可以看出，主角不只要求自己謙虛，還拉著別人跟著一起謙虛。與前幾首相同，這裡也是對一些饒舌歌手開槍，就像：“哎，我那麼有錢，我都沒到處講了，你們這些小咖在供三小啦！”48Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡAhKzdCbKje
