It's time to end this war once and for all. The galaxy shall know only peace afterwards. A galaxy where I will save the life of Padme and our young one.
These thoughts haunted Anakin Skywalker, or perhaps Darth Vader as he was referred, like Qui-Gon's specter as he trudged onward through the halls of the Mustafar Fortress of the Separatist Alliance. The obsidian walls were reinforced with thick metal the same color as the door that served as the entrance to the rooms where the CIS council were seated. It was there that Anakin would fulfill his destiny. The moment he stepped through the door, the Separatists, seated among a sleek rectangular table, turned to face him. One of them, a Muun rose from his seat and approached the former Jedi.
"On behalf of the CIS leadership, I would like to be the first to—"
The leader of the Banking Clan never got to finish his sentence as Vader had activated his lightsaber in what sounded like a humming of a spacecraft's engine and brought it down on the head of the Muun. Sharp gasps echoed across the room as San Hill's head rolled on the obsidian floor. Anakin turned to face the rest of his victims, his eyes almost the same color as the lava that made up Mustafar's crust.
Who's next?
Two B-1 battledroids started to fire at the fallen Jedi Knight as he lunged at the first one, decapitating it with one swift stroke of his blue blade. After finishing off the remaining droid, he set his sights on the remaining members of the Separatist Council.
"L-Lord Vader," a Neimoidian, Nute Gunray was his name, shuddered. "What is the meaning-"
He never got to finish his statement as Anakin had advanced onto his remaining prey like a Nexu. The shouts and screams of the CIS leadership filled the atmosphere while their corpses littered the floor.

"Uh, General?"
From his commanding quarters, General Grievous turned to face the battledroid who had entered his quarters without his permission. He was tempted to crush the insolent fool where he stood, but thought better of it.
"What is it?"
"The CIS leadership is being slaughtered!" The droid blurted.
"What? You can't be serious?" Grievous tensed up. He leaned over to the droid, his reptilian eyes narrowing. "Why are you here? Didn't I task you with guarding them?"
He should have anticipated this. He felt that the Emperor would send an envoy to secure the Jedi and the clones, but there was always the risk of it being a trap for an ambush. Yet it still chilled Grievous's metallic limbs.
"We were cut down by the Jedi's lightsabers when we attempted to subdue the assailant,"the droid explained.
"So there is only one aggressor?" Grievous snarled. "Describe him to me and quickly!"
As soon as the droid finished his description of Anakin Skywalker, General Grievous grunted and stretched his arms.
So he sends Skywalker to retrieve Kenobi? I should have saw that coming. I've been itching for a fight since I arrived here.
"Send in reinforcements to the control room!"He ordered the fidgety droid. "Then double the guards in the prison cells. Skywalker doesn't leave this place alive!"
"Roger roger!"
As soon as the droid left, General Grievous turned to the holoprojector and activated it. A blue hologram displayed what was happening in the room the CIS leaders were based at. The blue form of a Jedi Knight swinging his lightsaber and surrounded by piles of bodies played out right in front of the cyborg general's eyes.
If it's a fight Skywalker wants, then it's a fight I'll give him. I'll grind the Jedi slime beneath my feet.
The cyborg turned on his heels and made his way to the control room, his machine-like talons scraping the sleek ground.

"Alright, move it!"
Obi-Wan glanced up to see the B-1 battledroids meeting with some security and commando droids. Not long after, the droids dispersed. The Jedi Master didn't fail to notice that the B-1 droids had left and were replaced by the security and commando droids.
What is going on? Is there some sort of drill occuring that I'm unaware of? Or is there an all out Republic or Imperial assault on Mustafar?
The news that the Republic was no more and in its place rose the Galactic Empire during his captivity had moved him in disturbing ways. The look that his captor General Grievous had given him when breaking the news to him was one of smugness, the look an older kid has plastered on their face when taking chocolate from a child. The Republic he had served had turned on him and left him for dead.
Palpatine! There is no question of who was behind this from the start!
It wasn't long until the sounds of blasters firing reached the Jedi's ear. Not only that, but the hum of a lightsaber was barely audible as well among the din of battle. That brought Obi-Wan a look of troubled concern.
Did the Empire send a Sith here to take me? Or did a surviving Jedi return to rescue me from the Separatist's clutches.
"Excuse me, but can you give me a lowdown about what is happening outside?" Obi-Wan Kenobi asked the droid that was patrolling outside his cell. The only thing separating him and the droid was a crimson ray shield.
The droid's insectoid head rose and turned to him. "We are being attacked by a Jedi."
"Jedi?" Kenobi froze.
Could they be here for me?
"Yes, the General is engaging him now as we speak."
Well, it appears I'm going to be liberated after all. It's only a matter of time.
Pew!
A blaster shot took off the head of the droid that was conversing with him. Caught by surprise, Obi-Wan Kenobi craned his neck to see several more shots hit the clankers square on their heads. As the droids returned fire, several clone ARC and ARF troopers scurried up the hall, spraying the hallway with laser blasts. Kenobi felt his breathing hitch.
No, the Empire sent them to finish the job. Death awaits me after this showdown is over.
As Obi-Wan prepared to make peace with the Force, an ARF trooper with red armor arrived and pressed a button outside his cell, causing the ray shield to dissipate. Other troopers were doing the same at Captain Kardo's cell. As the clone stepped inside his cell, Obi-Wan raised his hands to force push him back as he had recalled losing his lightsaber during his captivity.
"General Kenobi, it's been a while!"
Obi-Wan froze as he recognized the voice of the clone.
"Captain Fordo? What are you doing here?"
"What does it look like? Rescuing you!"
The ARF trooper hoisted Obi-Wan up and led him out of his prison.
"I haven't seen you since the Dathomir incident. What have you been up to?"
Obi-Wan still wasn't sure he should trust the clone after Order 66 and as well as spotting them free the Special Ops clones who had tried to kill him back on the Patriot's Fist, but he had no choice in the matter.Perhaps this was an effort to rescue him after all.
