For consistency, I'm going to talk about Sayaka next. My next few chapters hopefully won't be Danganronpa stuff again, but I have more things to talk about alongside my own cringe-ass writing (no, you don't have to defend me. I'm fine with myself). Anyway, on to the opinion for Sayaka.
Sayaka, much like the first murders of the game, was a crime of passion. She saw her friends' lives at stake along with everything she'd worked so hard for with her pop group. She lost her head after seeing that, which the others did as well, but only she fell deep enough into despair to contemplate killing someone over it to see if it was true.
Yes she did convince Makoto to help with her plan, but I believe that that is in part due to the fact that she had some memories of knowing him from middle school. No one else had any reason to trust her from the start, so she thought he would be the only way to make sure her plan worked. She didn't know that, if she got away with it, everyone else would die.
People seem to forget that she hid from Leon, not just because he overpowered her with the ornamental sword, but also because she couldn't go through with betraying Makoto. Even in her despair, she still found it in her heart to question what she was going to do, not only to Makoto but also to Leon.
Much like Leon, I also acknowledge that she was going to kill someone, and that's still a problem, but did she deserve to die? She lost her head just like Leon and Mondo and Teru Teru later. She played the game and lost, but it doesn't make her a horrible person no more than it does for Leon as I mentioned in the last part. It's not like she was planning to murder anyone from the start of the killing game and she honestly probably chose Leon because he looked the weakest next to Chihiro and Makoto whom she liked. As I said before, I only believe one character, outside of Junko, who actually deserved what they got, but that'll be another part.278Please respect copyright.PENANAnkzqD77H5A
