"Wow.." Xoa let out a breath. The bridge was alot larger than she had pictured it. Looking at the majestic structure, Xoa thought that it must have taken ages to build. The bridge's height alone must have been ten times higher than what Xoa imagined.227Please respect copyright.PENANA1D0r4zo8pU
"The bridge" She breathed heavily. "I made it." Xoa thought back to everything she had been through and all she had struggled with. But she survived. She made it to seventeen.
As she stepped foot on the bridge, her entire body felt heavy as if gravity were pulling at her very being and not letting her move forward even a few inches at all. It was then that she realised, she could no longer hear the sound of her pulse beating in her head or feel her own breath against her skin.
If Xoa had been in the very situation a year ago, her only intentions of being on the bridge would be to end her own life. But now, she realized, she only wanted to live. Thats all she had ever wanted. "This is really it..." she realized. "Im finally happy." Xoa knew that her happiness would never dissolve again. It may falter due to complex situations that may still come for her, but would never fully dissolve. Xoa was finally at peace with herself. She loved everything about her world. She had supporting parents who shared similar struggles as herself, three amazing friends, and best of all, an indestructible love and acceptance for herself that would never be deterred, no matter what events life was to bring.
