By the following day, each former member went back to their own individual careers where Namjoon was teaching his students about the meaning of friendship. In Seoul's Fine Dine, Jin was also decorating a seven-layered wedding cake, adding sprinkles on the edges while he was singing to himself, much to the other employees' puzzlement and surprise. But they resumed on to work since they didn't want to bother him.
Yoongi was practicing basketball with his teammates, including Hoseok, who was rapping to himself while playing tennis. The confusion on their friends' faces was displayed and they secretly glanced at each other, thinking if they're feeling okay. From the students' perspectives, they were listening attentively to what their professor was lecturing.
"When you grow up, there will be countless people you're going to meet. You may have a big group circle of friends or may have a small one, but that should not be important. People will either love you, betray you, or leave you because it always comes down to a choice," Namjoon stated, then he notices a hand being raised by a nerdy guy with glasses on.
"Mr. Kim. Is it true?"
"About what?" Namjoon gestured formally.
"Having quality over quantity is better?" The nerdy guy said.
"Yes. Regardless of the ones you encounter, only a few friends will stay with you and can last even a lifetime. Little things matter the most," Namjoon explained and continued on. "Even if you have arguments or fights, the connection and the bond are still there. Why? Because you still care for one another and you never want to let them go, so never take them for granted. Otherwise, you will experience something worse than regret. Anyway, let's continue reading 'The Winter's Tale.'"
The students nodded in understanding, then they flipped the pages of their books and shifted their focus on the words he was saying.
Inside the music studio, Jungkook was singing one of his songs as he started to recall back on the precious moments he had with his hyungs.
(Pre-Chorus): "I hear the far-away ocean. Across the dream, over the horizon. I'm going to the place that's getting clearer. . You are the cause of my euphoria."
His voice did a couple of runs and harmonized with the melody in between the lines.
(Chorus): "Euphoria. Take my hands now. You are the cause of my euphoria. Euphoria. ..."
As soon as he finished, the background music faded away while his eyes were closed serenely.
"Awesome vocals, Kookie. However, I was expecting you to sing the other one," his music producer pointed out slightly.
"Ah. 'Still With You?'" Jungkook guessed queerly.
"Of course," he answered.
"Heh. Sorry, Seohyun. I got a little carried away there," Jungkook lightly scratched the bottom side of his cheek with a chortle.
"Damn right, you were. Whatever just take a short break then. I'm still impressed by you. If you'll excuse me, I have to make a call with my co-worker," Seohyun chirped and hopped out of his chair, exiting the door.
Jungkook grabbed the bottle and twisted the cap off to drink. He sighed composedly and remembered last night's party.
FLASHBACK:
Valerie giggled and raised an eyebrow in mirth, questioning and scrunched up her nose. "Wait, wait. So you blew out the birthday candles using your nose?! That's gross."
"Not to forget that I accidentally sent a love letter to my mother," Jungkook snickered.
Valerie ends up bursting out laughter, echoing their surroundings. She slapped his shoulder, saying. "Boy, you must love your mom so much."
Jungkook noticed how contagious and wholesome she was feeling, which is why he is beginning to admire her. His lips were curling into a genuine smile.
"But did she know that you only intend to give it to one of your fangirls?" She asked.
"Yeah. I mean, she texted me about it and I informed her about the cringiest details that I've written," Jungkook said awkwardly.
"You can be flirty at most times," Valerie muttered, trying to stifle laughter again.
Jungkook gaped his mouth open in awe and said. "Hey. Not most times alright? I was looking for someone to get into a relationship with. You know, dating..."
"Sure. Though, I assume that you are somewhat restricted from that," Valerie thought, furrowing her eyebrows curiously.
"Restricted? My staff, my manager, or boss allows me. Unlike the ones that I've worked with..." Jungkook trailed off of his words.
"I see. That's good, then," Valerie nodded gladly. She wanted to mention the previous company, but she knew that it was best not to since it will ruin his mood.
"Yup. That is why I like to have my freedom and I couldn't wait to meet the girl of my dreams," Jungkook said determinedly.
"Hmm," Valerie hummed in response while she continued to stare at the sky view.
"What about you?" Jungkook asked blankly.
"Me?" Valerie repeated.
"Who's your ideal type of guy?" Jungkook smirked.
"My ideal type is that he's nobody. Like seriously, nobody," Valerie answered, rolling her eyes carelessly.
Jungkook started to chuckle in amusement and asked. "You sure about that?"
"Yes, I am because nobody is in my interest right now," Valerie said annoyingly as she turned herself away from him.
END OF THE FLASHBACK
In the present time, he was thinking of her words that she spoke to him and stared at the group Polaroid taken on his hand. He puffed out a little bit with a grin, declaring. "Don't worry, beautiful. I will be the one to change that."
He placed the picture down on the side of the table and went out of the room to buy a snack.
The jazz band was slowly rehearsing their instrumental music at the Tang bar until Taehyung apparently transposed it into one of his former group's old songs called "Make It Right," much to their perplexity. They thought that he was going a bit crazy with the riffs on his saxophone, then they shrugged off and decided to play along instead.
Meanwhile, in the Fairview Park Corporations, the presentations were held at the conference meeting room where the two leaders were fighting for the Festival project for their own businesses. The rest of the employees were debating on who is capable of handling it as a project manager. Both of them had presented their ideas to the clients and saw which one of them had a better one.
Han's concept was to invite all the famous guests, live music bands, catering services, games, and prizes through social media advertisement.
Jimin decided to invite them as well, especially with music and other sorts of gaming. It also includes other small business partners and owners across the country, and a charity booth to support all children's education and private schools.
The clients were whispering with an inaudible tone to one another as they pointed towards the scoring and comments on papers they wrote. They nodded in understanding and asked the workers.
"All hands raise on Han?" One of the elderly women glanced around and noticed 14 people had their arms up.
"Hmph," Han snickered while crossing his arms and giving his opponent a nasty look.
"All hands raise on Jimin?" The elderly woman asked blankly, then her eyes got startled at them in astonishment.
Everyone else was grinning delightfully, but the others were sulking and glaring heatedly at them.
She breathed out slowly after scanning through the paper and smiled, saying. "Alright. The majority of the votes goes to Mr. Park."
The room was full of applause as Jimin blinked twice and bowed down at them respectfully.
"Congratulations!" The elderly woman said smiling proudly at him, including the others.
Jimin murmured with his lips pressed together. "Thank you."
Han was shaking his head in disgust and fixed his grey blazer before he approached him and plastered a smile, saying. "Congratulations, dude. You did an amazing job."
Jimin stared at him and said politely. "Thanks. You did too."
The others were acknowledging Jimin by shaking hands with him and patting him on the shoulder. Han beamed and nodded, then he faced his back on him as his lips curled into an evil smile and left.
Later on in the apartment, Valerie was home alone, crossing the sentence out of the list on the paper after Bryan went out to go buy some groceries. A few knocks were heard on the door, alarming her head directly at it. She walked up and pulled the handle over to see a tall man, which happens to be a mail deliverer.
"Hello there, miss. Is your name Valerie Nown?"
"Yes. That's me. What can I help you with?" She asked brightly.
"I believe this is for you," the mail delivery guy said gently, handing her the letter.
"Oh. Thanks..." Valerie got startled and took it from him.
The mail delivery guy nodded with a smile and walked away. As soon as she closed the door, she looked down at the letter and read the beautifully engraved letters. She ripped the seal and pulled out the card as she read it.
"Dear Ms. Nown, we would like to inform you that you are invited to the Spring Gala Fest by the Fairview Park Corporations. You can bring a friend with you. He or she is welcome to attend the party, which will start at 4:00 pm. Please do not be late. Sincerely, Mr. Park..." Valerie's eyes widened giddily and questioned surprisingly. "Huh? I never knew he could be so approachable..."
She sighed to herself when she lifted her head up as her thoughts were running into her mind. 396Please respect copyright.PENANAKm0wurVdrV
