Jimin stood silently on the spot as he was observing everyone's heads and began to speak. "Hi... First of all, I want to personally thank the staff for setting this amazing event and the rest of you joining us this evening. Moving onto my group, you guys have been supportive and helpful in this company that my father and I have been building over the years. I cannot imagine how my life would be if it wasn't for you. Needless to say, 'you don't earn success. You work for it. Not only you work harder but you work smarter.' I think that is what we should always be taught. The business itself is a great way to build careers and cooperate with others as we like to..."
Valerie, on the other hand, peeked a little to see him, then whispered on the ear microphone. "Bryan... How are you holding up?"
"12:00 o'clock. The guy is on the move... I'll distract him as I can," he replied hastily as he started to walk at a fast pace.
"No, Bryan. It's too dangerous and plus, I don't want you to end up in the hospital again. Let me do it," Valerie snapped.
"But isn't it the whole point of this mission? Val, trust me. I'll be fine this time," Bryan reassured.
"Okay... Please be careful," Valerie murmured worriedly, then she sighed to herself after turning around to continue listening to Jimin's speech.
"I certainly believe all of us have the power to control and manage our own business without depending on someone else, but rather ourselves. At the end of the day, it's up to us to use our minds and to focus on the paths that we are destined to walk through as we get older. We have the potential and..." Jimin stated, whereas Valerie got startled when she heard Bryan's voice and a few grunts through her earpiece.
She glanced over to the building and hissed. "Bryan! Are you alright?!"
"Yeah..." he exclaimed as he kicked and punched the sniper off unconsciously to the side. He took the rifle away from his hand and held it between his left arm. "He's out."
"Good," Valerie said in relief.
"The cops are here, so I'm going to be there soon," Bryan reminded quickly and nodded informatively to them, who were putting handcuffs around the sniper's wrists before they left.
Valerie agreed and walked back to her spot until she heard a sound of a gun clicking above the second floor of the balcony. Her eyes began to widen in shock as she glanced over her shoulder to see who it was.
Sehun... He slowly held the pistol directly to where Jimin was standing. His half devious smirk began to form on his face and Valerie looked back as she opened her mouth to yell.
"Everybody!! Get down!!" She warned loudly, leading them to gasp in shock when two shots started to fire. She sprinted and plunged over to wrap her arms tightly around Jimin, who stumbled back on the stage floor.
Suddenly, they all screamed and were rushing out of the venue fearfully when they heard another gunshot including Mr. Park and Chia, who both ran.
Bryan appeared and tackled Sehun from behind, slightly causing him to lose the grip of the pistol he was holding. He kneed him on the abdomen and punched him on the right side of his cheek.
Jimin, on the contrary, blinked his eyes and narrowed them in horror after he noticed the wounds on Valerie's back. He was breathing heavily and became speechless. His hands gripped her upper body to examine them.
Four security guards captured Sehun and took him away when Bryan was glaring daggers in his direction.
"Bastard. You will rot in jail," he spat angrily, gritting his teeth.
"Oh? For hell I care," Sehun stated smoothly and chuckled slightly as he was shoved to move forward.
Bryan was shaking his head and glanced down at Jimin and Valerie. He was dismayed when he saw his best friend got shot twice on her back. "Valerie!"
Jimin looked at him running down the stairs as he lifted and carried her body, saying anxiously. "We have to hurry. She's losing blood."
Bryan nodded firmly when the two of them ran towards the exit.
Jimin called his chauffeur to open the door and ordered strictly. "Goomin! Take us to any hospital!"
"Got it, sir Park!" He exclaimed as soon as he made a screeching driving noise to turn left.
Jimin stared down at Valerie's eyelids shutting close in a blur and was checking her pulse under her neck.
Bryan was gently massaging onto her hand and thought to himself in his mind hopefully. "Hang in there, Val! Just please wait a little bit longer...384Please respect copyright.PENANAWNG3InPXne
