Once the afternoon was setting, Valerie went over to the receptionist to check-in and she entered the room where Bryan was fully awake as she quickly wrapped her arms around him. The nurse informed her that he's already discharged in which Valerie had thanked her for looking after Bryan.
The two best friends headed outside the hospital building, taking the bus to go back to their apartment. From there, they sat by the couches comfortably until one of them spoke out.
"How have you been doing?" Bryan smiled.
"I should be the one asking you that," Valerie giggled.
"Oh, right. Well, I had tons of good sleep and nice warm meals I've had on the trays," Bryan explained smoothly and continued. "Your turn."
"Just the usual thing, but I did find an article about BTS's plagiarism on GOT7 online and I talked to one of their lawyers: Mr. Soojung," Valerie said, frowning.
"And then what? Did he tell you everything?" Bryan raised his eyebrows in peculiar.
"Not exactly. He doesn't want to believe that BTS is guiltless. Those guys would never set up their feet like that to steal someone's work," Valerie stated disapprovingly.
"Maybe Mr. Soojung has some reasons and it's not because he doesn't trust you. It's probably because-" Bryan was about to answer, but got cut off.
"He's getting paid," Valerie mentioned.
"That could be possible or he's got wrapped around their fingers..." Bryan nodded slowly in thought.
"Ridiculous. GOT7 is literally friends with half of the idols in the industry," Valerie said.
"Not all of them. They're either just using others to gain more attention and boost up their image. Basically, almost everyone can do that to anyone they encounter," Bryan shrugged.
Valerie agreed with a hum. "Hmm... So what are we going to do about the video? TXT is starting to lose their fans because of the scandal. Either way, we need to clear up their name and whatever allegations are being thrown at them."
"I think that's a good first step. You're right, Val," Bryan said impressively and added in. "I have an idea in mind, so this shouldn't be that difficult."
Valerie became a little intrigued when she continued to listen to him explain the details.
Five hours later after meeting up with Mr. Si-hyuk and TXT, they discovered that the members only bought snacks and were forced to contend with men in black clothing. TXT described how the unknown group had offered them drugs in which they refused to take it.
"How did you all get caught up?" Bryan pondered.
"The men went after us and quickly snatched our bags. We chased them until we found them lying in the corner of the building," Huening said.
"When we opened the snacks, they were filled with a mix of cocaine, heroin, and marijuana," Yeonjun murmured.
"And the next thing that happened was the police saw us and there were a bunch of paparazzi hurdling us," Beomgyu stated in a mellow tone.
"We promise you that we never dealt with it," Choi Soo-bin reasoned out.
"We know and we understand what you've must have been through. That is why we are all here," Valerie said gently.
"You are new idols in this company and you guys are very humble and loving to your fans. I'm certain that they will realize," Bryan stated.
"Just to let you know, we've already captured the voice recording and video of GOT7 and EXO because they were the ones who sabotaged you," Valerie notified as she quickly opened them on her phone, much to their consternation.
"But they seem very friendly to us in the Melon Music Awards," Taehyun stuttered.
"That's what you thought," Bryan pointed out.
Taehyun and the others rolled their eyes and sighed in vexation, whereas Beomgyu and Huening closed their eyes disappointedly.
Valerie and Bryan, on the other hand, couldn't help but feel sorry for them since they were so fond of the two groups and in the hopes of creating friendships. It turns out that they were only being fooled by GOT7 and EXO's mischief.
"Don't worry about it, boys. These two detectives will handle the situation," Mr. Si-hyuk reassured them.
"Right," they both nodded firmly in response.
As soon as it was past midnight where the rest of the five former members had convened back in Hoseok's house, they sat around the living room while they were playing UNO cards.
"No, shit! I only have 10 here. Why is Yoongi always the winner?" Jin whined loudly.
"This game is not even that hard, but what can I say? I'm a natural pro," Yoongi smirked proudly.
"Argh! Since when did you become so cocky?" Jin huffed.
"I have three green cards, so does that make me a second place?" Hoseok grinned as he burst out laughing in amusement, including Jungkook.
Namjoon's eyes were glistening back and forth on the TV screen, nudging Jin on the shoulder and said shockingly. "Guys, guys. Look!"
He pointed at the two figures, whereas TXT was standing behind them while the press conference had gathered to the front and cameras started to flash constantly. He turned the volume up on the remote as they slowly adjusted themselves to listen intently at what the two were about to address.
"We would like to speak to you on the issue, regarding TXT. These past few days were very tough for them and to point something out, my friend and I have recorded the conversation of the two well-known groups. They're the ones who planted the drugs inside the snack bags down by the convenience store," Bryan stated.
"Sir, can you tell us specifically who they are?" The reporter woman held the microphone towards him.
Bryan paused for a few seconds to look at Valerie and the others, who gestured to him with an approving nod. He glanced back at the audience, clearing his throat. "As much as I don't want to reprimand them, I'm afraid that it is Youngjae and Sehun."
"Yes..." Valerie confirmed and continued on. "I know that they've brought out the best of their fans, but the evidence that we found is absolutely 100% accurate. By watching the surveillance footage, TXT was victimized by that group of men. Never in a million years that these guys would ruin BigHit's name. To answer all of your questions, TXT is proven innocent because they do not have any petty intentions to create a fake scandal. Thank you very much."
As she concluded after she bowed down at them, Bryan followed along and they both walked away with Mr. Si-hyuk and TXT, much to everyone's loud chattering filling up their surroundings, aside from the cameras flashing.
The screen switched back to the news reporter man, saying. "Now that is the announcement for today's topic. Stay tuned for more, so let's move onto the weather forecast..."
Namjoon and the rest of the members sighed in relief when they became ascertain of what they'd uttered to everyone.
"I'm so glad that they've made an honest statement about TXT," Hoseok said.
"What do you think is going to happen to GOT7 and EXO?" Jin asked curiously.
"Oh. The interesting part of this is that they are both screwed," Jungkook remarked with a snigger while he took a glass of beer to drink.
"Well, they deserve it," Jin chirped, wiggling his eyebrows carelessly as he tried not to laugh.
Contrarily, Yoongi was staring directly at Valerie and couldn't figure out what was making him draw his attention to her queerly. He scanned a few details of her face but was still unable to recognize something about her.
"You know, we need to have a chat with all of them," Hoseok suggested, beaming merrily.
"I think that's a good idea," Namjoon agreed, crossing his arms thoughtfully, especially Jungkook and Jin.
However, Yoongi's eyes were still fixated on the screen, unbothered by the sound of their booming voices.
Back inside Jimin's mansion, he was surprised at how Bryan and Valerie defended TXT and BigHit, debunking the two groups that almost ruined their careers. Nevertheless, he was beginning to notice Valerie in a different way.
Somewhere in Seoul lies another mysterious figure hiding in the dark, shooting darts on the board. There, he smiled wickedly at the girl he was going to target and slowly called one of his recruits. "Gentlemen... I believe we have a bird to capture." 393Please respect copyright.PENANAjJe4KWpgI1
