The Ddong cafe was less crowded than yesterday and the two guys decided to sit near the glass windows. They've ordered coffee and began to have a conversation tacitly amongst themselves.
"What is it that you want to inform me?" Jimin urged on.
"You see, there was this box that was given to me," Yoongi replied as he carried it and slid it forward to him, with whom he uncovered the lid and held the Polaroids.
"These are our old pictures of our group," Jimin shrugged.
"Hmm, and it comes along with the hard drive," Yoongi grabbed and waved it.
"What's the point of all this?" Jimin questioned blankly.
"I saw a person with a black hooded cloak on and I wasn't able to see their face, but a smile. It's like they were hinting about something that relates to us. Maybe this is a sign," Yoongi explained thoughtfully.
"Probably just someone trying to fool around or a fan who doesn't know how to move on," Jimin huffed and continued on to change the subject. "Anyway, I had a dream."
"Of what?" Yoongi asked.
"My high school memory. I don't know why. I never actually thought of it..." Jimin said, leaning back in his chair with a sigh. "Taehyung and the girl I can't remember."
"Let me guess. The one you bullied before?" Yoongi chuckled and took a sip of his coffee.
"How do you know that?" Jimin raised his eyebrows in shock.
"Taehyung told me and not to forget that you guys used to be friends with her. Am I right?" Yoongi smirked.
"Whatever..." Jimin mumbled and looked away while he took another drink.
"Ah. That reminds me, I should contact him," Yoongi popped an idea into his head.
"Absolutely not," Jimin disagreed and rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"He needs to know and I think this is the perfect time for you guys to talk things out," Yoongi suggested as he chugged down the few last drinks of coffee, whereas Jimin was contemplating in his mind.
Elsewhere, Valerie and Bryan went to go shopping at the mall to buy some clothes, shoes, and other souvenirs to give to their family and friends. That also includes cosmetics and skincare products since Ava and Sally love to wear makeup and maintain healthy skin. They were carrying some of the bags, which were slightly becoming heavier, so they started to compress the stuff into, at least, four of them.
"This is not my kind of thing. I'd rather go to the gaming shop," he mumbled lazily.
"Quit complaining. We've only been roaming this area for one hour," she scoffed.
"Exactly! It feels like a decade," Bryan said exasperatedly.
"You're being overdramatic. Anyway, since we've rented the car, we'll put these bags inside the trunk," Valerie mentioned lightly.
Both of them were heading towards the elevator and went to the ground floor. They stepped out until their eyes widened in shock at the sight of the two K-Pop members from different groups.
"Hold up. That's the GOT7 and..." Bryan stammered nervously.
"EXO. What are they doing here?" Valerie questioned in puzzlement.
"Let's hurry and put these away," Bryan noted.
Valerie nodded in agreement as they sprinted quickly out of the building and into the parking lot. They opened the back door of the car and threw the bags in before they shut it closed. As soon as they were running through the other side of the entrance, they began to crouch down and hid behind the banner post lamp. Their heads peeked a little to see the guys talking while they were near the railing.
"Here. I'm giving you this," he said lowly.
"Is this them?" The guy asked blankly.
"Indeed. That is TXT. The new group that Bighit recruited. Those idiots. They'll never know what will hit them," the EXO member chuckled.
"Sehun. They're a bit less threatening. The boys are a little young to be involved in our charade," the guy pointed out.
"Relax, Youngjae. A couple of minutes won't take that long," Sehun stated.
"If you say so. Shall we go? People will be suspecting us," Youngjae said faintly.
"Alright. Let's head to my boss's house," Sehun noted as they straightened their postures up and left, much to Valerie and Bryan's skepticism.
"Should we follow them?" Bryan asked worriedly.
"We can't, but we need to come up with a plan," Valerie said thoughtfully.
Meanwhile, after Yoongi contacted one of his former members, he and Jimin were sitting in the stools, facing him as the awkward silence was filling in around them. Taehyung's arms were folded while he casually rested his arm on the table.
"What's new?" He shrugged dully.
"We just want to let you know about these pictures. Supposedly, I think that someone is trying to tell us something," Yoongi explained shortly when he gently placed them in the front.
"How so?" Taehyung queered and continued on. "Like what exactly? I'm pretty sure they are just by a fan's intrigue."
"No. It's not," Yoongi shook his head slightly.
"You're implying that someone wants us to be back in the group? For what dumb reason could it be? It's not anybody's business, nor it is their personal affairs," Taehyung pointed out.
"Maybe it's more than that," Yoongi said perplexed.
Jimin stares at Taehyung calmly and asks. "Do you remember the girl that we used to be hanging out with in high school?"
"Honestly, no. I can't remember her name, but I somewhat remember her face. It's been eleven years since the last time we both saw her. You were quite a bully. Why would you ask?" Taehyung tilted his head sideways and chuckled in amusement.
"I had a dream about our past. I don't know how it happened. It just came to me. By the time I woke up this morning, my body was sweating and my heart was racing at a fast rate," Jimin explained.
"There could be a justification," Taehyung guessed.
"What are you saying?" Jimin wondered quizzically.
Taehyung tapped his fingers noisily and replied. "Carrying a heavyweight can last a lifetime.
"Huh?" Jimin's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Whatever," Taehyung snorted with a laugh and turned his attention to the pictures and the USB. "Now, what are we going to do with those?"
"We will keep them and check the files in the hard drive to see if there's anything significant," Yoongi instructed.
Then, a phone abruptly started to buzz off in Jimin's hand where he read his girlfriend's name on the screen.
Taehyung noticed this and smirked mockingly. "Prioritizing your love life always comes first, eh?"
"What is it to you?" Jimin scoffed.
"It only irritates me by the fact that you are very finicky," Taehyung commented.
"I haven't answered her call yet. You're quick to judge. Be thankful that we came here just to speak with your sorry ass," Jimin remarked.
"Excuse me? Who are you to call-" Taehyung protested but didn't get to finish his sentence.
"Stop! Guys, let's not argue here, okay? We are here to find out the person's motive. I was going to chase after them yesterday. However, they ran away so fast," Yoongi said.
"Could be a prankster, scammer, or a sasaeng. Either way, we shouldn't fall for some tricks like that," Taehyung stated.
"This is different. What if this person knows us or possibly one of us?" Yoongi thought deeply.
"Impossible... You know what, this is crazy. I need to go now. I'm in a hurry," Jimin recalled as he rapidly stood up and adjusted his tie before walking out of the bar.
Yoongi and Taehyung, on the other hand, were watching him disappear and glanced directly at each other to resume.
"So, you're going to avoid all of this?" He mumbled.
"Hell, no. I wouldn't do that. I'm glad we are having this discussion just the two of us," Taehyung nodded plainly.
"By the way, what was the whole point of 'carrying a heavyweight can last a lifetime' thing? What do you mean by that to Jimin?" Yoongi interrogated curiously, whereas Taehyung was looking at him earnestly.
"It all comes down to one's conscience," he stated.
"Ugh. Come on. Stop being so cryptic and be straightforward with me," Yoongi pleaded with a grunt.
Taehyung's eyes were still fixated on him and recalled back to the moments knowingly and said. "The dream that Jimin had is reminiscing him of his guilt."
"Guilt? Why would he feel that way?" Yoongi asked further.
"Because I was there. I saw everything. I remember...The voice of the girl..." Taehyung answered subtly.
FLASHBACK:
"And now I'm falling for ya, falling for ya. I know I shouldn't but I, I just can't stop myself from falling for ya, falling for ya. Can't hold on any longer and now I'm falling for you," she sang at the end of her performance before she received applause from the audience.
END OF THE FLASHBACK
Yoongi raised his eyebrows strangely at how he was telling him inaudibly and that's when he was beginning to realize that the past can sometimes be haunting.364Please respect copyright.PENANAZPcCwVZxLM
