Yoongi was stepping down the stairs and ruffled his hair through his fingers. He heard movements from the kitchen and figured his girlfriend and the rest were cooking breakfast meals.
Sally glanced at him and smiled. "Morning, boo!"
"Morning, beautiful," Yoongi replied as he approached beside her and pecked her cheek. He turned around and waved at his friends. "Morning, guys."
"Aye..." they replied in unison gawky and continued on to chew on their pancakes.
Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows and stifled his chuckle. "Sounds like you all had nightmares or something. Not the kind of response I was expecting, but whatever."
"It's the opposite, actually," Jin pointed out.
"Yeah?" Yoongi drinks up the orange juice from the glass.
"I was in my restaurant and got promoted in my dream," Jin said shrugging, whereas the others were staring at him intriguingly.
"That's cool. One day, that will happen," Hoseok said impressively with a point of his finger.
"I also performed with my saxophone on live TV and won an award," Taehyung looked up at them and grinned smoothly.
"Ah..." Everyone nodded thoughtfully.
"I was in a boat with a gi..." Jungkook stopped for a moment and realized his hyungs looked at him in puzzlement. He looked back and forth as he made a long audible pause before he continued on to speak. "Girding elastic band bracelet I bought."
"Really?" Valerie faced him and raised an eyebrow curiously.
Jungkook looked at her nervously and said with a half-smile. "Yeah..."
"You haven't worn it for a long time, dude," Namjoon noted and took a bite of his last pancake.
"That's because I lost mine," Jungkook huffed and continued on. "I also need it in case I want to practice boxing."
Everyone nodded with a hum and quietly resumed their meals. Sally, on the other hand, noticed Jimin sitting on the couch and watching the TV screen quietly.
"What about you, Mr. Park?" She queried, making the others' heads turn their attention on him.
Jimin's right arm was resting on the circular pillows and exclaimed in question. "Hm?"
"Oh, don't play dumb. I'm sure you had a dream last night. What was it?" Sally rolled her eyes and chortled a little.
Jimin stared at her and scoffed with a disapproval shake of his head. "I better not say."
"We already told you about ours, Jiminah," Taehyung said.
"Fine. I was wearing a Hanbok dress while playing ping-pong with Jin," Jimin blurted out.
The others were laughing in amusement, which caused him to roll his eyes at them in annoyance.
"Aww, that's classic," Namjoon sighed.
Valerie took a sip of her coffee, then lowered it away from her face.
"Val," Jungkook called out and gestured his finger, indicating foamy milk on her upper lip.
Valerie got startled and placed the mug on the counter to find a napkin. Then, she noticed Jungkook grabbed one and stood up from his chair to wipe it gently from her face. She was blinking her twinkling eyes at him and tried to hide the pink tinge on her cheeks.
"Oooh! I smell a fresh kind of love going on here," Ava teased and giggled.
Valerie and Jungkook cleared their throats as they backed away shyly before they sat on their own seats. Namjoon and the other guys were observing them nonchalantly, whereas Sally and Ava were trying to hide their giggle fits. Of course, they were starting to see the possibility of them being fond of each other, yet Bryan can tell how Valerie feels towards a guy like Jungkook, who is very interested in her.
The room was clean and spacious where Kai checked his wrists being chained up by a pair of lockable metal rings. He was sitting in a chair and fluttered his eyes in a clear vision, questioning out loud. "Hey... Why am I here? Get me out of here!"
He kept on yelling repeatedly and was quavering the handcuffs agitatedly. "Where am I? Fuck! Get me out!"
For a few seconds later, the door slightly creaked open, revealing a police officer, Mr. Reen. He walked inside while his hands were placed on his pocket modestly. He chortled a half-smile and guessed. "You've finally woken up. Nobody can hear you, young man. This prison cell is soundproof."
"Ugh!" Kai grunted in irritation without making eye contact with him since he was too fixated on the handcuffs locking his wrists.
"You have no idea why you're here, do you?" Mr. Reen asked and continued on. "Maybe you are just pretending you haven't done any felony lately because I'm certain you did."
"What are you talking about? Someone broke into my yacht and here you are bombarding me with questions..." Kai raised his eyebrows at him in frustration.
Mr. Reen pulled out the photos taken and slammed them down on the table. "Oh really? How do you explain all of the illegal possessions there?"
Kai stared at them livid and flared his nostrils, clenching his teeth. "What of them? Those don't prove anything."
"Nonsense. You and I both know you had the initiation to kidnap Ms. Valerie Nown, locking her up in a small cabin while setting Jeju Island on fire," Mr. Reen spat out every word, but calmly.
Kai tilted his head down and began to laugh darkly as he gestured his arms out proudly. "What if I did? You got me, chief. What are you going to do about it? You can't blame a man who wants to get rid of annoying pests that are always standing in my way of succeeding."
Mr. Reen closed his eyes for a moment and asked further. "And what was your intention, boy?"
Kai clicked his tongue in a popping noise and answered. "To emerge an uprising."
"An uprising? Such as?" Mr. Reen furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
Kai just burst out laughing as his hands rested on the table and smirked. "Aye, chief. I wouldn't tell you, but just to see the look on your face is priceless."
Mr. Reen gazed at him deadly and said. "Looks like you're going to be in here for longer than you think it is. You won't be laughing anymore for the next couple of weeks if you keep bluffing."
Kai was about to respond until someone entered the room, making their heads turn on him in puzzlement.
"Don't detain him. I'm Gunwoon, Kai's lawyer and I have the exact evidence you need," he said, pushing his eyeglasses towards his nose, holding a black suitcase in his hand.
Mr. Reen crossed his arms and looked at him oddly in speculation. Kai was smirking and nodding contentedly at Gunwoon, who sat in front of him professionally and started to justify his explanations.
Before it was noon, everyone was headed back to their own usual work, whereas Jin and Valerie were baking hand-made cupcakes and cooking delicious meals in Seoul's Fine Dine. There were a lot of requests on the phone call where hundreds of customers were waiting in line and had already ordered.
Sally and Ava were helping and cleaning around Yoongi's mansion after the thunderstorm was over. Namjoon was teaching his students on the next topic in his class. Hoseok and Yoongi were practicing their sports before their finals. On the other hand, Taehyung was in his apartment and fed the stray cats outside his apartment windows, still debating whether he should compose his new jazz piece of music. Jimin was also back to his business and listened to his employees converse the ideas in their Festival project. Though he was still thinking about what he witnessed between Valerie and Jungkook's sudden proximity, so he shrugged it off of his mind and focused on one of the guys speaking.
For a little while, Jungkook was rehearsing one of his recent songs. His headphones were placed in his ears as he was singing, along with the harmonies in the background.
Chorus: "I'd spend ten thousand hours and ten thousand more
Oh, if that's what it takes to learn that sweetheart of yours
And I might never get there, but I'm gonna try
If it's ten thousand hours or the rest of my life
I'm gonna love you (Ooh)..."
His eyes were closed while he was daydreaming about the girl he currently likes. His bunny smile was showing from ear to ear, much to his music producer's surprise at his behavior.
Bridge: "Ooh, want the good and the bad and everything in between
Ooh, gotta cure my curiosity
Ooh, yeah"
Chorus: "I'd spend ten thousand hours and ten thousand more
Oh, if that's what it takes to learn that sweetheart of yours
And I might never get there, but I'm gonna try
If it's ten thousand hours or the rest of my life
I'm gonna love you (Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh)
I'm gonna love you (Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh)
Yeah, And I~ (Do you love the rain, does it make you dance?)
I'm gonna love you (I'm gonna love you)
I~I'm gonna love you..."
As soon as he finished with the last note, his music producer applauded him and cheered. "Fantastic, Kookie. I'm very impressed by your natural charm and energy. Is there someone you're interested in and makes your heart go boom boom?"
Jungkook chuckled and grinned in response. "Yes..."
"Ah. Who is she? Tell me," Seohyun asked eagerly.
Jungkook paused for a moment and tilted his head sideways. "She's beautiful and someone who's easy to be attracted to. Her name is Valerie Nown."
"Valerie. Wow, her name is so rare," Seohyun said surprisingly.
"Hmm," Jungkook nodded in agreement and smirked.
"Since there are not many errors in some parts of the song, let's take a break and head out for lunch. What do you say?" Seohyun inquired excitedly.
"I would love that," Jungkook confirmed.
"Alright! Let's go," Seohyun said grinning as the two were walking out of the room.
A few minutes later, a group of men in black jumpsuits, gloves, and masks had barged into the studio. They gave each other nodding signals and grabbed the CDs while one of them was transferring the recording to their memory card.
Thus, they stormed quickly without leaving any traces as to what they've consummated. But only one thing they left was a piece of a silver button.
