The five former members were watching their first debut on stage, performing one of their songs. They were fixated mostly on their dance moves, especially their playful side and how funny they talk or scream. They kept roasting each other back and forth with their laughter being filled in the studio.
Throughout that point, Bryan was still resting peacefully in the hospital while the nurse was displaying the vase full of flowers and stared at him warmly. As soon as she was finished, she headed out and carefully closed the screen door behind her before walking into the next room to check in on the other patient.
Back in the apartment, Valerie was researching online, scrolling up and down, but barely found any evidence as to what caused the seven members to break up until she came across the news where BTS had plagiarized GOT7 and got sued by one of their lawyers.
"Every music can have similar instrumental beats in pre-chorus or chorus. Honestly, this is stupid," Valerie mumbled to herself, then noticed several comments on the article in which she recognized them as the Army.
Those who are part of the fandom would do anything to protect the seven members from haters or bashers. When she scrolled down the page, she found one of the lawyers' contact information and scribbled the name down on the paper.
"Hello, Mr. Soojung," Valerie called.
"Hi there. How may I help you?" He answered politely.
"I just want to know the case of the two groups. Is there any time where we can book an appointment to discuss this?" Valerie inquired.
"Of course," Mr. Soojung agreed.
"Great. What place?" Valerie asked.
"63 Building, second floor on the right," Mr. Soojung replied.
"Alright. I see. Would you mind if I go there now?" Valerie reassured.
"Hmm," Mr. Soojung hummed in response.
"Okay. See you then," Valerie said gladly and ended the call. She glanced at the window absentmindedly and sighed deeply to herself, pondering if she would find at least one proof that GOT7 was involved with EXO's schemes.
From that moment on, Jungkook had given each of his members the copies of his albums, much to their surprise.
"I know there are not many giveaways for me to give you all since I've already sent them to my fans," he noted.
Yoongi flipped the back of the CD case, reading the list of his songs silently.
"It's fine, Kookie. Plus, we truly appreciate the hard work you've put into your music," Namjoon nodded in understanding.
"Your voice is so rarely unique. I haven't heard you sing in person for quite a while now," Hoseok grinned brightly.
"Can we listen to one of your songs?" Jin requested.
"It's not finished yet. Though, I wouldn't mind giving you a short preview," Jungkook laughed shyly, scratching the back of his head.
"Yay," Jin was clapping with a satisfied smirk. "Let's hear it!"
After Jungkook carefully adjusted the microphone, he cleared his throat and opened his mouth as soon as the others began to watch and listen to him attentively.
At the same time in the Tang bar, Taehyung was currently performing "Fly Me To The Moon" with his jazz band while the customers were swaying back and forth to the background instrumental music, including his riffs. Two minutes later, his performance ended and people were applauding him as he bowed down a little and waved at them.
"Thank you, thank you," Taehyung said, smiling contentedly, and looked over to his mates to announce. "Now, let's move onto the intermission and hear these wonderful musicians play. I'll be right back."
When he stood up from his chair, he stepped down the ramp and headed towards the washroom, then to his locker to check his saxophone case. Once he unlocked it, his eyes were wandering over the pictures that were scattered. He was dazed to see his former group but furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as to who would put them inside. The questions he was asking himself is how and why.
The 63 building was very wide and spacious where many workers have been staying up late for almost 24/7 to complete their tasks and other projects. The guy in a grey suit was sitting near the empty rounded table, compiling every paper in the yellow folder.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Soojung?" A girl's voice asked, peeking a little.
Mr. Soojung looked up and smirked after recognizing her. "You must be Valerie Nown."
"Yep. That's me," she said, nodding in confirmation.
"Hmm. You look a lot different than what I had expected," Mr. Soojung stated observantly.
Valerie's pleasant expression is starting to falter, yet she still manages to smile at him.
"Oh really? He doesn't even look younger than 30 no more," her inner self remarked and said. "Tell him that!"
"Should I?" Valerie thought in her mind.
"Yes!" Her inner self exclaimed.
"Just wait, okay?" Valerie informed herself, then gazed directly at the man placidly. "Mr. Soojung, perhaps you could elaborate on how BTS plagiarized GOT7, because I don't believe that those guys would have the guts to copy other people's music."
"Actually, they did. Here, I'll show you," he said, pulling two of the documented files and photos that were attached, then moved them forwardly.
Valerie looked down and spread the sheets out, crinkling her eyebrows in bemusement.
"You see, one of the members; Kim Taehyung, was last seen watching the group practicing on their rehearsals and he asked them if he could borrow their samples. The next thing that happened is that BTS was caught stealing the parts of GOT7's music. Mostly, the intros and the choruses," Mr. Soojung explained.
Valerie narrowed her eyes further as she paused for a moment and differed. "But... that doesn't make any sense. BTS really worked so hard to create their own music from their heart, mind, and soul. When I saw their teaser of 'Blood, Sweat, & Tears,' they were the ones who released their music video first."
"No. It was GOT7's Hard Carry that came first on September 26, 2016. In Verse 1, Jinyoung was lying down while he was floating in mid-air and the background setting of the engulfing flames around them is similar to what BTS did as well," Mr. Soojung stated.
"I'm sure it's just a coincidence. I mean, every K-Pop music almost has the same beats, hooks, and tuning. They rearranged it with a different set of style and format," Valerie retorted with a shrug.
"Plagiarism is still plagiarism and I truly believe that GOT7 has been demonstrating their real artistry and originality towards their fans," Mr. Soojung said calmly.
"What makes them so different from all the groups out there? Frauds..." Valerie mumbled as she looked away from him.
"Excuse me?" Mr. Soojung got startled blankly.
Valerie turned her head and stared at him sternly, saying. "You heard me. Where did they go after the rehearsals three nights ago?"
Mr. Soojung snorted and said. "How should I know? I wasn't there since I was busy working in my office. Though, Jackson did tell me that he needed to go visit at his friend's place."
Valerie figured it out in her mind. "So he lied to us in the police station..."
She sighed and shook her head exasperatedly. "But did you ever suspect if GOT7 was part of TXT's fake drug scandal? Because the detectives and I have confronted Jackson about it."
"And your whole point is?" Mr. Soojung urged on monotonously.
"That they're just as bad as EXO," Valerie held her phone that revealed the captured videos of Jackson and Kai shaking hands.
Mr. Soojung began to laugh and disagreed. "That's a different guy."
"So you're saying that it's not true?" Valerie gestured her hand out.
"No, because that video is a false claim and you don't have enough evidence to prove that GOT7 colluded with EXO," Mr. Soojung contradicted and continued on. "It's not their fault that BTS brought their own misfortunes themselves. Whatever questions you're wanting to ask, my answer will be no because GOT7 is innocent. Have a good day, Ms. Nown."
As soon as he concluded, he stacked the papers back into the folder and left the spot where Valerie was sitting alone by herself, facepalming annoyingly. She wondered if Mr. Soojung was being paid by them, not to spread a single word. Within her gut instincts, she was starting to realize that something else wasn't right. 411Please respect copyright.PENANAAt6TMUHhbg
