During that night, Bryan kept calling and texting Valerie, but there was no reply from her. He plunged down on the couch, sighing in frustration. He even tried tracking her on the computer. However, nothing seems to appear, which worried him even further.
"Val... Where could you be?"
There was a small part of him that felt guilty for contradicting her during that incident on Seoul Yangyang Expressway. Scrolling on the list of his several dials, he sat up in a hunched position and sulked.
"I can't give up and do nothing. I'm not leaving you like this..." he said determinedly in his mind. He brushed his hair with a few strokes and began to run the hardware device. He then sleeps on the table by the next morning and his phone vibrates with a blatant text tone.
Straight away, it started to ring, alerting him to wake up. He groaned and swiped the answer icon button on the screen. "Hello?"
"Babe! Go to channel 747," Ava said giddily.
"Okay," Bryan mumbled and massaged his eyelids, then picked up the remote to turn on the TV. He typed the three numbers and widened his eyes in astoundment.
"The famous boy band has officially announced their new comeback trailer, now reaching up to 2 million views on Youtube. Therefore, leaving many fans in wonder..." the news reporter lady grinned excitedly.
On the other hand, Bryan furrowed his eyebrows and asked curiously. "That fast?"
"Yeah! I know, it blew my mind!" Ava exclaimed.
"Damn... They're all over the billboard signs and bus shelters," Bryan said in disbelief until he saw their music video playing.
"'Cause I, I, I'm in the stars tonight
So watch me bring the fire and set the night alight
Shoes on, get up in the morn'
Cup of milk, let's rock and roll
King Kong, kick the drum
Rolling on like a Rolling Stone
Sing song when I'm walking home
Jump up to the top, LeBron
Ding-dong, call me on my phone
Ice tea and a game of ping pong..."
His mouth gape open and clear his throat after he read the messages from Hoseok and Yoongi, saying. "Babe. I got to go."
"Okay, let me know how it is," Ava said gleefully.
"I wouldn't bet on it," Bryan chuckled faintly and ended the call. In just about two minutes, he changed his clothes and left the apartment.
Once he arrived at the set, he was waiting near the door along with the staff members. They were all observing each member speaking directly to the talk-show host.
"It is good to see you guys again after three years. What made you guys decide to write this song?" The interview man asked beamingly.
"Recently, we've seen others struggling with issues that were arising, so we've come up with a colorful and vibrant concept to help them, including ourselves. We went through our ups and downs. And 'Dynamite' really captures it since it is made of positive vibes and energy. We're glad this song turned out great," Namjoon explained formally.
"This takes me back to the 70s-80s era," the interview man chortled in amusement.
"Yeah," Namjoon laughed.
"Good times," the interview man nodded and continued on as he became peculiar. "So you've all resigned from your jobs? Is that true?"
Namjoon turned to look at his friends where Jin stepped in to answer. "Oh, I'm still keeping my restaurant business, but my cousins will be taking charge of it."
"My final playoffs will be held next week and I will play basketball for the last time," Yoongi said smiling.
"Same here," Hoseok added in.
"Aren't you guys going to miss your teammates?" The interview man mentioned.
"Absolutely, but we will still keep in touch," Yoongi answered.
"What about you, the three maknaes?" The interview man gestured forward with a grin.
Jungkook started to laugh and answered sincerely. "Well, I wanted to go solo until I met up with my hyungs. That's when I suddenly changed my mind. I couldn't imagine myself not being part of this wonderful group with them."
"Awww," the audience gushed over dreamily.
"You seem like you got a soft spot," the interview man jokes.
"Yeah. I was an arrogant guy, who was so caught up with being successful. I do admit that I'm a very competitive person and now I just want to enjoy the music that my hyungs and I are creating," Jungkook stated.
"I love my jazz band, but I've told them I really miss my friends," Taehyung said.
"And they understood your explanation?" The interview man pointed out.
"Hmm," Taehyung responded with his arms crossed.
"Your business is still flourishing, isn't it Mr. Park?" The interview thought out impressively.
"Yes," Jimin nodded.
"What's your reason?" He asked, leaning in closely skeptically.
"Our past videos gave us an unexpected awakening as to what was happening around us. We can't live without one another, so now we're in the middle of the process of making music. There will be times where we will argue and have disagreements," Jimin stated and continued on as he gazed reverently at them. "That's what makes us who we are. More than just members. We are friends and family, perhaps even brothers..."
"You are truly marvelous and sweet at heart," the interview man smiled proudly.
All at once, everyone in the audience began to clap as soon as it slowly subsided.
Taehyung was soothing Jimin's back earnestly and Jungkook placed both of his hands on his shoulder merrily.
"If you could describe Dynamite in three words, what would it be?" The interview man interrogated.
"Happy, Fun, and Lit!" Hoseok said enthusiastically, whereas his friends hollered with swag gestures, much to the others' enjoyment.
"Indeed it is. That's all for today, guys. Give it up for BTS!" The interview man gestured his hands out as the group stood up from the long couch.
The seven of them bowed down, waved, and made Korean heart signs to the audience, who was applauding and frantically cheering for them. They shook hands with the interviewer and walked out of the spotlight.
They opened the door and were surprised to see one of their friends leaning against the wall.
"Bryan!" Hoseok said in awe and came to embrace him.
"Hey," he greeted casually and straightened up his posture.
"You made it, dude. I was hoping we could have a chat about the vandalism case," Yoongi noted.
"Definitely," Bryan shrugged.
"Don't we have a program to attend?" Jin reminded him.
"Oh, right. Yeah, we can meet up later or talk over the phone," Yoongi suggested.
"That's alright by me," Bryan replied and noticed the youngest member approaching.
"Here are the tickets," Jungkook handed them in which Bryan took it. He tapped him twice on the shoulder before wiggling his eyebrows nonchalantly. "See you tomorrow!"
Bryan stared at the small rectangular cards in confusion and turned around to call them. "Wait!"
However, they were gone swiftly right after the staff members told them to move out.
He glanced below at the tickets in his grip and pondered for a moment. "It's weird how they just acted..."320Please respect copyright.PENANAhwihjpxCrC
