Early morning came and Bryan was the first person to wake up. He yawned while stretching his arms out in his sitting position. Scratching his back, whereas his hair was ruffled out messily. He got up from his bed and headed towards the kitchen to cook some sunny side eggs with rice and avocados on the side.
"I wonder how she's feeling right now. Should I just wait for her or wake her up?" He wondered in his mind.
Sighing to himself, he walked towards her bedroom and turned the door handle over to the left, noticing a blanket covering the figure.
"Val, breakfast is ready," he called out cheerily.
"Go away..." she wailed and continued on. "Leave me be."
Bryan gazed at her and said mildly. "Look, I know that they still have unsettling problems with each other and we cannot control them. But it doesn't mean we should give up right away as you said."
Abruptly, Valerie removed the blanket off of her head, revealing the dry tears that were streaked on her sullen face.
"Who cares anymore? You're right and they're right. This mission is impractical. How could I be so stupid into thinking that those guys will get back together as a group?" She muttered and patted her temples, then placed her hand under her chin.
"Nah. You are not. Don't degrade yourself just because of what they've told you. At least, they've finally seen each other for those few years. If they really hate each other, why would they agree to meet? Anyway, let's go eat," Bryan nodded his head in the other direction with a smile in which Valerie concurred.
Once they finished the meal on the table, she was watching a few videos of the group's first debut in 2013, happy birthday ones, auditions, funny/crackheads, and live concerts. She couldn't help but started to feel amazed and poignant towards them and knew that they would eventually break up at some point in their life, which was so hard to let go for most fans. Maybe, this wasn't the right time to do that when there are still some things to enjoy while they are young. Unfortunately, they've made their decision and Valerie couldn't do anything, except to find a way to fathom everything.
Bryan, on the other hand, was currently taking background research on the history between BTS and the other groups. He was surprised at how much they knew them since they were close friends and had normal interactions back then. That was the time when they weren't being shipped. Although, people got over it and started to focus on different idols. He was weirded out by how some delusional and crazy fans can be and couldn't understand the eye contact of two idols would prove that they're secretly in love unless one is being obvious about it.
Valerie then came across one of the fans' newsfeed pages where she discovered how deep and profound Jimin's friendship was with Taehyung, aside from Jungkook. She scrolled down the comments that screamed Vmin, Taekook, or Jikook, chuckling faintly to her amusement.
"Alright. I'll put up the post-it notes now," Bryan reminded as he gathered everyone one of them and stuck them on the whiteboard, along with the pictures of each member.
"Hmm," Valerie hummed in response, shutting down the Mac computer and standing up from her chair. "I'll buy some groceries today so that we can cook homemade lunch and dinner."
"What? But aren't we supposed to spend all of our money on food restaurants? I really want to try the Mingles, Samwon Garden, and Yang Good," Bryan pleaded.
"Okay, okay. We can go twice. As of now, I need to apply for a summer job. If this case goes any longer, we have to pay expenses here, even if we are still on vacation," Valerie informed.
"Doesn't our parents send us some allowances every week?" Bryan mentioned.
"Yeah, but we got to work, at least, one month," Valerie reasoned out.
"That doesn't seem like a bad idea. Although, I do not like someone overworking that much, especially you," Bryan said. "I've been there before. All that sleeplessness and caffeine crash."
"I'll be fine. I promise I won't do any of that stuff," Valerie assured. "Anyway, I got to go. Later!"
She slipped the teal shoulder bag over her shoulder and slammed the door behind her.
Concurrently, the basketball players had been practicing shooting and dribbling while the coach was clapping his hands aggressively.
"Let's go, let's go. Move Minlee. Where's the energy, boy?" He encouraged, looking back and forth at how slow he was running.
Then, Eunshi stopped quickly to pass the ball towards Yoongi, who caught it firmly and threw it towards the net, scoring another 15 points. The time limit was up when coach Milton blew the whistle loudly as the players screamed out for joy and gave high-five on him.
"Awesome job, dude! You're always on fire!" Baeyeon hollered with swag and patted him on the back.
"Thanks. It's just my own natural reflex," Yoongi said, chuckling.
"I can tell," Baeyeon smirked with a nod.
"Okay, guys. Have a break for a while. I got to meet up with my old friend for some snacks. Remember, we will be passing balls around without dropping them," coach Milton chirped and checked his watch before he walked out of the gym.
Yoongi and his friends went inside the boys' changing rooms. They chugged down the cold water bottle to their mouths. They sprinkled it over their heads and scrubbed them with their towels.
"Man, I'm starving as well. Why don't we all go out for black bean noodles?" Eunshi suggested.
"No problem. I haven't had that in a while," Minlee said surprisingly.
"It's just next to the convenience store across the streets," Eunshi remembered.
"I'm in," Baeyeon agreed as he removed his shirt and changed it into his grey baggy one.
"Hold on. I forgot my phone in my car. I'll be here in just a minute," Yoongi said as he jogged to the exit door.
From there, he headed straight to the parking lot until he saw a black hooded figure putting polaroids inside the navy blue box, placing it on top of the trunk.
"Who are you?!" He questioned suspiciously, then watched them slowly drop their hands down on their sides.
The hooded figure peeked a little on their left shoulder as their lips curved into a hinted smile.
Yoongi raised his eyebrow in confusion at how quiet they seemed and asked again. "Who are you?!"
Though, the hooded figure didn't bother to answer as soon as she started to run and hopped out of his sight.
"Hey, wait! Come back here!" He called out, but he groaned lazily and shrugged off, so he began to approach his car and gazed at the box, frowning to himself. He glanced from left to right to see if there's anyone around, then he carefully uncovered the lid and leaned in closer towards the old pictures of his former group and a USB.426Please respect copyright.PENANAvbBZ4uWcsb
