By the following day, everyone started packing their bags and luggage, then placed them on the overhead bins before going inside the ferry. They arrived in about thirty minutes near the wooden dock, stepping their feet and bringing their stuff. Sally and Ava took a mesmerizing gaze at the view of Jeju Island while Bryan was recording and capturing 20-second videos of it.
“Our first time being here!” Ava said in awe.
“I’ve been here the second time with my family,” Valerie said smiling.
“Since when was the last time you visited here?” Yoongi asked.
“13 years ago. I was 10 years old,” Valerie answered.
“Wow. That’s a long time now,” Namjoon exclaimed.
“Yeah. I didn’t get much time to travel since I was occupied in my studies,” Valerie explained, giggling nonchalantly.
“Now, you’re here! Let’s eat, drink, and party!” Hoseok said, grinning radiantly as usual.
Valerie laughed and nodded in agreement with a shrug. “Alright. I’ll do it.”
Behind them was Jimin and Chia, walking side by side with their backpack and luggages. They were wearing sunglasses and matching clothes as they were having a conversation.
“I can’t believe you’ve invited them,” she muttered.
“My friends?” He asked.
“No. I have no problem with them…” Chia trailed off of her words, narrowing her eyes slightly at the two girls laughing side by side with each other.
Jimin looked at her for reassurance, questioning. “Who?”
“Never mind. Forget what I said. Anyway, do you want to go swimming with me once we find our spot?” Chia asked flirtatiously in a whisper.
“Of course. We can inform them and join us,” Jimin smiled warmly, much to her hidden annoyance.
Chia stared at him, but forced a smile while clenching her teeth. “Sure.”
Later on in the afternoon, everyone decided to set up their tents on the beach, where Bryan and the rest of his friends were grilling up some barbecue pork, beef, and chicken, including the vegetables. The girls were mostly in charge of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages to pour on the plastic cups. As they sat on their portable folding chairs, they ate and made smores after toasting them near the campfire. Jin was telling his story about his childhood of getting scared by the grass-hoppers and frogs jumping around his shorts. Hoseok and Namjoon were laughing hysterically, whereas Yoongi was facepalming himself at how embarrassing it is for their hyung to experience.
Jungkook and Taehyung, on the other hand, went to go surfing and challenge each other to see who reaches the finish line. It turns out that Jungkook was the winner of their little competition. However, it was not a surprise to them anymore since they know how athletic he is in sports. The two were carrying their surfboards and laid them on the sand, slicking their wet hair with their hands.
Hoseok gave them high fives and said. “Great job, you guys! You were totally rocking it out there.”
“Thanks. Actually, I almost fell in the water in the middle, but the waves pushed me to where I needed to be,” Jungkook explained, panting breathlessly and placing his hand on his hip composedly.
“I almost beat him to it,” Taehyung commented and snickered.
“You almost did,” Jungkook nodded.
“Better luck next time, Tae,” Hoseok chuckled in amusement.
“Shut up,” Taehyung rolled his eyes and shook his head.
“So, guys! Who wants to dance? I’m talking about upbeat kind of stuff. You know, the groove?” Hoseok asked avidly, gesturing his arms out and Yoongi turned on the speakers before they played EDM and remix type of music.
“Woohoo!” They replied cheerfully in unison as they bumped their fists in the air. They started dancing and hopping together while shaking their heads back and forth. Valerie couldn’t help but laugh at how goofy Hoseok and Jin were, shifting different light colors and attempting to do acrobatic movements. Though they end up getting sand on their hairs, which they ruffled them off.
Two hours later, the sun was setting down and they all gathered in a circle as soon as Jin brought up his guitar, singing one of his favorite songs called Night Changes by One Direction. He breathed out gently and stared at each of his friends.

Sally and Ava raised their eyebrows surprisingly as they’ve haven’t heard him sing in person. They yelled out jovially towards him to go on further, making him smile shyly.
Valerie, Namoon, and Yoongi grinned at him and clapped slowly in the same beat as the guitar instrumental.

Contrarily, Bryan remembered the conversation he had with Valerie as he gazed warily at her.
FLASHBACK:
While Sally and Ava went to go buy some essentials in the mall, Valerie and Bryan were sitting and discussing in the empty seats as others were walking by them.
“We’re so screwed! What if our friends find out about how we met up with BTS?!” She questioned, panicking.
“Calm down, Val. It’s not the end of the world. I’m sure they will understand,” he pointed out.
“How? It’s just not easy to tell them what we’ve been doing for these past few months and being involved in those guys’ current situation, it’s becoming a bit more complicated,” Valerie explained grumpily with a sigh as she placed her elbow on the table.
“I agree with you. The previous cases we’ve dealt with were very tough for us, especially the risks we took for them,” Bryan thought deeply and continued on. “Plus, you said you wanted to find your purpose, right?”
“Yes,” Valerie confirmed.
“Then, what is it you are looking for, Val?” Bryan asked curiously.
Valerie stared at him vacantly for a moment and was about to open her mouth, but the phone call started to ring inside her shoulder bag. Though she turned off silently before looking back at him simply. “A lost treasure…”
“What do you mean?” Bryan quirked an eyebrow weirdly.
“Treasure… I’m looking for the lost treasure,” Valerie concluded.
“I see. What kind? Is it like a necklace, bracelet, or a book?” Bryan was guessing out blankly.
“Seriously? You obviously think I’m into those jewelries?” Valerie looked at him in annoyance.
“Come on, Val. Let’s face it. Most girls dig that kind of fancy stuff nowadays,” Bryan chuckled sarcastically.
“Don’t generalize us. Anyway, we got to go and inform Yoongi and the rest of the guys not to let Sally and Ava get involved in our case,” Valerie reminded and placed her shoulder bag around her.
Bryan got startled when she got up from her spot and called out. “Wait, Val… You haven’t specifically told me about your lost treasure.”
“Maybe some other time,” Valerie answered without looking back at him.
END OF FLASHBACK
In the present time, Bryan went back from his train of thought while Ava was snuggling to him in the campfire. He was still watching Valerie and the others singing and clapping along where Jin was strumming his guitar in the background.
Chorus: “We're only getting older, baby, And I've been thinking about it lately, Does it ever drive you crazy, Just how fast the night changes?"
Jimin and Chia were pinching each other’s cheeks adoringly when they were whispering sweet words into their ears. She giggled exquisitely and leaned her head against his chest. He was comforting her and caressing her arm while they were listening to others’ singing. Jungkook reminded his friends that he needs to use the washroom and left.
"Everything that you've ever dreamed of, Disappearing when you wake up, But there's nothing to be afraid of, Even when the night changes, It will never change me and you…”
As soon as Jin finished his acoustic performance for three minutes, the rest of them gave him an applause and whistles.
“Thank you, thank you,” he bowed his head down and tapped lightly on his guitar. “The next one is my song that I’ve composed back in those years. This is called ‘Tonight.’” He sniffed and rubbed under his nose a little bit before he played the first chord and sang.
Verse 1: “If this night is over, I will be scared that I can not see you…”
Valerie sighed and excused herself to Sally and Ava, who gave her a curt nod before they turned their attention again to Jin.
Bryan was alarmed and asked her monotonously. “Val! Where are you going?”
Valerie paused for a moment blankly and chortled, pointing her thumb at the direction behind her. “I’m going to take a walk…”
“I see. Do you need a company?” Bryan asked.
Valerie blinked a few times and shook her head with a grin. “No. I’m good. You guys can hang around here.”
“What?! You’re missing out on Jin’s song,” Hoseok pouted sadly.
“Yeah. It’s going to get dark out there,” Namjoon pointed out, furrowing his eyebrows.
“Don’t worry. I have a flashlight and my phone with me. I’ll remind you where I am,” Valerie pressed her lips firmly and smiled.
“Okay, Val. Be careful!” Ava advised loudly.
“I will,” Valerie replied over her shoulder and faced her back as she walked away from their social circle, much to the others’ puzzlement. Yet, Jin kept on going with his performance.
From a distance, she was heading into the Hallasan National Park to see people riding bicycles and kids blowing bubbles out. She never would've imagined there would be a vast majority of them to spend regular activities as a whole group.
In just a few blocks away, she turns to the corner to follow the location on the Google map and her eyes lit up when she walked into the Spirited Garden. Her lips slowly formed into a smile brightly when she saw yellow golden butterflies flying in the areas of the bushes, canola and cherry blossom flowers. She gasped in awe and started to take selfies with a casual peace sign and pictures of it.
"They're so beautiful..." Valerie murmured softly, not taking her eyes off of the scenery.
"Quite interesting, eh?" A familiar voice called out, startling her from behind.
Valerie turned around slowly to see the figure, which happens to be the person she never expected it was.
"Jimin... What are you doing here?" She questioned confusedly.
"I should ask you the same thing, but it looks like you've already given an answer from the way you've suddenly walked out," Jimin said surprisingly as he shoved his hands inside the pocket of his shorts.
Valerie gave him a blank expression and replied back simply. "I just came here to visit this place. You?"
"Ah... Well, I decided to check as well," Jimin answered.
"You've been here?" Valerie peered in.
"About a couple of times. Yes. By the way, Hoseok and Yoongi started to get drunk while playing betting games with each other. The guys are almost started to get reckless. Luckily, Namjoon and Jin was there to prevent them from wrestling each other," Jimin chuckled amusingly at the thought and squinted his eyes with a smile.
"Gee. How terrific that may have seem to be for those two..." Valerie agreed and turned the other side to demonstrate the screenings of the butterflies and plants properly. She bent down on her knees to get a close shot until she heard a few clicks from her digital camera.
Jimin observed her quietly and came up beside her. "If you don't mind me asking, what makes you so interested in taking pictures of them?"
Valerie stood up in her standing position and glanced at him calmly. "Memories... The reason why I love to take pictures is not only because I love nature, animals, and the place itself. Mostly, I see beauty... I love the beauty of them all. That's what photography is all about. Even the best moments are the best capture..."
Jimin nodded in understanding as he stood next to her where his eyes widened at the golden butterflies glowing around them in amazement. He watched her gasped and giggle when she held the butterfly in her index finger before she flew one right in the air.
"They're so breathtaking, aren't they?" Valerie exclaimed excitedly and clasped her hands together.
"They are..." Jimin murmured in agreement when he also take a glance at them in captivation.
Nonetheless, a pair of grey eyes were watching them closely from the bushes.
