In a flash, Bryan and the others became horrified when Kai inserted a needle through Jimin's arm, making him lose sight of consciousness in sedation.
"What the-?!" Jimin groaned dizzily and fell in a slump position on the floor.
Kai looked down on him and ordered quietly. "Rest of you, knock them out."
"Woah, woah! Stay back. You know I have a fear of needles!" Jin held his hands up defensively.
"Like I give a damn," Kai smirked, then his subordinates huddled them as they punched through their stomachs.
Namjoon and his friends kept fighting back using their punches and kicks. Unfortunately, it was no use for them when they got injected by the needles.
"No. We can't lose here..." Bryan also collapsed on the floor and narrowed his eyes towards Kai and his group.
Meanwhile...
Hoshi stopped the car in the parking lot as he and his friends were gazing attentively at the factory building.
"Is that the one?" Vernon asked blankly.
"Yes," Valerie said shakily.
"So your phone had been switched and they replicated it?" Mingyu mentioned.
"Yes. As of now, we have to go save them. Kai and his crew lured them in," Valerie said exaggeratingly in concern.
"Most likely afraid so," Jeonghan murmured.
"What are we waiting for? Let's go and save our friends," Joshua stated determinedly.
"Hold on..." Valerie said and stared at the phone screen in worry. "There are bombs set up on the fifth floor and there are guards blocking the way. We have to split up."
"I'll volunteer to go with you," Vernon said.
"And I'm assuming the four of us will be fighting with them," Hoshi guessed correctly.
"Hmm. Sorry guys for the trouble," Valerie apologized sincerely.
"No. Don't be. This is urgent and their lives are in danger," Hoshi said.
"Hold up. Our friends are on their way here," Mingyu informed gladly.
"No way. They need to recede," Joshua declined.
"Too late. They're going to be here in about an hour or so," Mingyu hitched his breath nervously.
Joshua threw his head back and sighed, shaking his head dismissively.
"Hey, it's better to have the majority of us. The more, the merrier," Vernon pointed out optimistically.
"I guess you're right," Joshua shrugged off.
"Before we head off, I need to tell you something," Valerie muttered.
Vernon and his friends nodded in silence as they waited for her to respond. In about five minutes, they understood her words and did not want to indulge further with what she was about to go through. Each of them gave her a quick hug and prepared a few armaments they bought from the store. They carried them on their hands as they sneaked in a stealthy manner through the secluded gates.
An hour later...
The lights on the ceiling were hanging below the seven of them. Jimin fluttered his eyes open to clear up his blurry vision. He noticed his whole body was tied up in the chair in a circle. He glanced around quickly to find his friends trying to wake up sorely from the beatings they received by the subordinates. Breathing densely, Jimin's gaze hovered towards Kai, who was preparing the ammunition on the table and in addition to the bullets. His eyes widened at the person standing beside him, much to his disbelief.
"Chia?! What is she doing here and why is she with him?!" Jimin became suspicious in his mind.
"Crap. That hurts," Jin gasped out.
"I haven't felt that since four years ago," Yoongi said and wriggled his loosened hair back and forth.
"How are we going to get out of here?" Taehyung whispered to Jungkook.
"I honestly have no idea," he muttered in a mellow tone of his voice.
"Sir, there's no sign of them," the first subordinate notified formally.
"What do you mean?" Kai questioned confusedly.
"We searched every area in the building. So far, they're not here," he explained.
Kai grabbed his collar harshly, commanding with a menacing growl. "Then, try harder!"
The first subordinate stepped back as he swallowed nervously and bowed his head a little. "Yes sir!"
Once he scrammed off with the rest of his companions, Kai snorted in ridicule. "Morons."
"Easy, love. We don't want to think negatively and underestimating them will only hinder our plan," Chia stated huskily as her hand was caressing his right arm and shoulder playfully.
"Chia. You're with him this whole time?!" Jimin questioned in livid.
"I knew there was something off about her," Hoseok exclaimed.
Yoongi nudged his elbow slightly against him. He gave a warning look at Hoseok, who immediately shut his mouth.
She glanced at him and smiled wickedly. "Why, yes. Of course. I've joined with him from the very start."
"You're a traitor and a cheater. I've given you everything," Jimin spat out disappointedly.
"No! You haven't. Not even half of your wealth or the shareholders from Fairview Park Corporations," Chia pointed out.
"I was planning to once we were about to get married. Though, it seems it's never going to happen anymore. You have no right to inherit them," Jimin lectured.
"I think I already have. Thanks to my good-looking Kai's hacking expertise," Chia giggling delightfully, jumping in anticipation and kissing him on the right cheek.
Kai smirked in satisfaction. "Now, I'm busy occupying my reward for those special folks."
"You're not going to win," Jimin said calmly and continued on. "Whoever you are trying to capture, you will not lay their hands on them."
"I don't need to. They know that this is an important part of the exchange," Kai stated coolly, then he heard raucous popping noises in the second and third floors, much to his alarm.
"Is that...?" Jimin muttered.
Kai grinned excitingly, saying. "Well, it looks like they have found the filthy mice wandering everywhere."
"Oh no, you don't!" A voice exclaimed boldly, making him and Jimin's heads turn around to see five members standing in front of the doorway. They all smiled. "Seventeen at your service!"
"Joshua!" Hoseok gawked in astonishment.
"Hoshi, Mingyu," Jin said surprisingly.
"Woozi..." Yoongi said shockingly.
"Jeonghan," Taehyung murmured.
"What are you guys all doing here?" Namjoon asked anxiously.
"We've come here to help," Joshua answered.
"Wow, so you're the knights-shining-in-the-fucking-armours. Come to save your princesses? How sweet," Kai snorted an amusing laugh.
"You can make fun of us all you want, but we're going to defeat you," Mingyu declared.
Kai pretended to think of this and shrugged. "Not a chance."
He then grabbed the rifle before he pulled the trigger at them until he got shot in the arm. He hissed in pain and dodged every shot. Kai's subordinates appeared behind them and they began to fight in a physical combat and gun-shooting.
Hoshi and Mingyu approached Jimin and his friends. Both of them rapidly untied the ropes from their bodies that dropped below their feet.
"We all thought Valerie was the one who was talking on the phone," Bryan said dumbfounded.
"It does sound like her because Kai used an app where he can change into any voice he wants," Hoshi explained.
"Trickery," Yoongi was shaking his head in irritation.
"Here are some spare guns," Hoshi said speedily as he and Mingyu tossed each onto them.
"Thanks, dude," Jin said when he clicked the gun, including the others.
"Argh!" Joshua cried out in discomfort, clutching onto his arm. Blood was trickling and staining his long sleeve shirt.
Dino came up beside him and wrapped a cloth around his wound, whereas the young couple were hiding behind the interior column walls.
"I'll be going on ahead to check the two pests," Chia said calmly to his ear.
"Alright," Kai understood and they both kissed each other on the lips before she exited and his crew had appeared. He revealed himself when he added ammunition. The rest of EXO members and their subordinates pointed their weapons hastily, including Jimin and his friends. They exchanged animosity looks, whilst standing a couple of meters apart. The two friendly groups are currently in the confrontation of their battle against the opposing group, much to Kai's amusement.
"Hehe, so it all ends here," he stated smugly.
"Maybe. Either way, it's time we put a cease to our rivalry, Kai," Jimin noted sincerely.
"Don't hold your breath," he scoffed with a disdainful smirk.
On the fourth floor, Valerie was dissecting the remaining colorful wires of the bombs that were ticking off in approximately one minute. She gripped tightly on the pliers she was holding, but inside she was half terrified. She only clipped the red and the blue ones gently. Yet, she was beginning to hesitate.
"I don't know which one of these; yellow or green," she said shakily.
"Don't look at the time. We have to focus," Vernon said slowly.
Valerie hitched her breath in and closed her eyes to cut off the yellow wire. She went on to detach the last green one and the two of them had exhaled out at ease.
"25 seconds. That's a good score," Vernon thought impressively.
"Most likely, nerve-wracking," Valerie said.
"How does it feel now that you've both accomplished?" A feminine voice asked in which they glanced behind them in puzzlement. She was standing with her gun directly pointing at them, smirking viciously. "
"You go on right ahead," Valerie instructed.
"Are you sure?" Vernon asked worriedly.
"Yes. This stuff is not new to me," Valerie shrugged.
"Be careful..." Vernon bowed his head and he sprinted away, leaving out of their sight.
"I knew you were a cheap skamp coming all the way here to South Korea. You've taken my fiance's attention and most importantly, you've spread your filthy presence in our lives. Every time you're inducing your little misfortunes, you just had to drag him into it," Chia reprimanded in resentment as they were surrounding themselves in a circle.
Valerie pointed out, saying. "I never had any motives and neither had the thought of doing so. I'm sorry you felt that way."
"Don't fucking lie to me. You're the one who wanted him and his friends to get back together as a group. Here's my news for you, bitch. That dream is long gone and you are going to be next on the list," Chia emphasized in derision. She pulled the triggers twice, but she missed them.
Valerie ducked her head as she rolled forward and sprinted. Then, she hid behind the interior columns and raised her weapon close to her chest.
Chia huffed and clicked her tongue. "The moment you set your foot at Spring Gala Fest, Jimin had to dance with you because you look pitiful and in that awful dress of yours. You even took your chance to be a hero to save him. I'm supposed to be the one out there! Not you!"
Valerie held her breath and turned around to face her as she fired her gun a few times towards her.
Chia dodged them and ran to the side to counterattack. Every bullet had been discarded onto the floor, making clunking noises. She pointed her gun at the right angle at where Valerie is, remarking sharply. "I don't know why Jimin invited you and your misfit friends on our trip to Jeju Island. What does he see in you? You're just a poor girl who has nothing to do in life and knows nothing about relationships."
Valerie stared at her composedly, saying. "If you think I'm one, then you're mistaken. I always respected what you and Jimin have. I really do, but if you think I'm a liar... Then I don't need to seek validation from you because frankly, there's nothing for me to prove to you no longer, nor to the people."
"You talk so highly of yourself like you even know what respect means. You're a home-wrecker! Who are you to him, anyway?! He loves me and only me! He and I were about to get married in five months and share half of his wealth and property," Chia snarled boldly.
Chia started to shoot once again, whereas Valerie shot her on the arm. She hissed in pain and fumed as she attempted to shoot, but no bullets left.
She pulled another revolver out of her pocket and triggered it at Valerie, whose eyes widened when she instantly dashed and spin kicked across Chia's legs.
Valerie swiftly plucked the weapon away from her hand and elbowed her with full force through the stomach.
Henceforth, Chia stumbled back on the floor with a yelp. "Argh!"
"Do you love him?" Valerie wondered as she pointed the revolver down onto her.
"No need to ask me that question," Chia scoffed and rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"If you do, you wouldn't be seeking after his belongings. Instead, you would be understanding what he is doing for you. It's normal for women to have certain types of emotions, but lacking empathy in our lives will lead us astray and find other things that catch our eye. Therefore, we end up hurting our loved ones. Do you think jealousy, greed, anger, and hate will solve your problems with Jimin? Do you think he's happy with what you've just done?" Valerie chided.
"How should I know? He didn't want to spend more time with me because of his business projects, especially of you and your friend dealing with these useless fucking cases. Now, I'm with Kai. He's my one and only true lover. Thanks to him, he hacked the system in Jimin's mansion. The two of us will kill you and everyone else," Chia smirked sadistically.
"You're a monster..." Valerie clenched her teeth and gripped onto her gun firmly, holding back from her anger.
"Aww, am I? To tell you honestly, I'm looking at one. Your eyes say it all, Valerie," Chia giggled malevolently and urged on. "You have the desire that you are not able to unveil."
Valerie narrowed her eyes further in a daze and her fingers were slowly placed on the trigger, holding it in thought. "What is she talking about?"
"Chia!" A voice called behind them.
The two girls whipped their heads to see the person, much to Valerie's shock.
"Didn't Kai order you to detonate the other bombs?" Chia exclaimed.
"Yes, but there wasn't enough materials..." Royen explained, then he was holding a gun towards Valerie.
"Royen..." Valerie muttered softly in a ghastly look.
"I assume you know me already. Where's my camcorder?" He queried while his hands were trembling nervously.
"I've kept it and you will not get it back," Valerie said calmly.
"What are you waiting for, Royen? Shoot her brains out! Don't be such a coward!" Chia demanded viciously.
Royen swallowed a hard lump in his throat and sweats were forming around his forehead. He knows how skilled the girl is in front of him and he was very hesitant. His eyes were shut when he tried to press the trigger before letting go.
On the spur of moment, the bullets became slow motion as they rocketed out of the gun hole. Valerie saw this and dodged them, whereas Chia was reaching her towards her pocket knife. However, she was kicked underneath her chin and staggered. "Ah!"
Valerie spun her kick against Royen's arm and used a double-combo uppercut, whilst pushing him backward. Even so, his face was still hammered in which he groaned achingly.
Thus, she was now holding two weapons in her hand, pointing them at their frail positions.
Royen was whimpering with his hands raised up as a sign of surrender. "Please, don't hurt me!"
Chia's jaw tightened at the discomfort Valerie had inflicted. The blood was dripping from her nose as she touched it and became enraged. She glared daggers at her and growled in frustration. "Argh! You bitch! How dare you?! Look what you've done to me! If this means you won, then fucking shoot us already!"
"I would never hurt someone who is still loved and cared for by the person. You don't deserve death, but a life sentence and for that, you will suffer the consequences," she said faintly with a solemn gaze set upon them.
Chia and Royen were panting breathlessly as they both stared at her speechless. They weren't surprised at how lenient she is. Overall in a short time, they were beginning to see the kind of person she is.371Please respect copyright.PENANAcLE8PtYTEN
