The whistle blew right off of the coach's mouth as soon as the basketball players started to jump and toss the ball at the same time. The soles underneath their shoes were squeaking noisily on the floor once they were dribbling the ball. Before passing it to the white-blond guy, he caught it with his hands gripped on it. He made his way to the other side and shoot it towards the net. A loud cheer echoed through the walls of the gym after he scored one point much to their amazement.
"Wow! That was awesome, dude! How could you stand so far away from the hoop?" His friend asked, grinning widely.
"One of your personal tricks, eh?" The other guy gloated in appreciation.
"I practice most of the time," he replied monotonously.
"Hey, Agust! There's someone waiting for you to talk to her," the coach exclaimed, pointing his finger in the right direction where his eyes hovered towards the figure.
"Okay," he murmured and jogged to the person that was standing with her arms crossed. He raised his eyebrows confusedly and asked. "Do I know you?"
"I don't know, you tell me," she said, smirking.
His face contorted in befuddlement and said. "No. I can't because you are dressed in a pantsuit with a dark navy blue blazer, carrying only a cellphone. What brings you here?"
The girl continued to smirk and introduced herself. "I'm a private detective from New York working on a case about the New Year's Eve party incident. I need to gather some information from you."
"Why? Why are you doing this?" Agust questioned.
"Because Mr. Si-hyuk has sent me," she answered and continued on. "I would appreciate it if you want to give me some of the details, Min Yoongi."
Min Yoongi. A three-time winning basketball champion player in the city of Seoul. He won medals and trophies in the first place. Many fans across south Korea and would even ask to sign their autographs and take selfies with him. He practices every five hours and doesn't stop until he exhausts himself. His exterior appearance may be cool and level-headed, but his interior one has fire and dedication inside him that a few people have seen.
While his teammates continue to play basketball, Yoongi decides to tell his part as he and Valerie sit down on the third row of the bleachers.
"I finished my solo and headed backstage, then I heard voices in the dressing rooms, and noticed how Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook were fighting. When they walked out, I called them," Yoongi explained calmly.
Valerie asked blankly. "Did they hear you?"
Yoongi responded with a shake of his head. "No."
Valerie said to herself in mind. "Just as I expected..."
"I was standing 20 meters apart from them and saw Jin pulling Jimin's arm, but he harshly told him off. That's when they started an argument," Yoongi stated further.
"Why?" Valerie questioned worriedly.
"To be completely honest with you, I cannot speak for them. As much as I would, I'll gladly tell you about everything," Yoongi said, sighing tiredly.
Valerie pressed her lips together and nodded. "Okay. I understand. Thank you for sharing. That's all I ever wanted to know because there are some people who still care about you all. Are you willing to join the BigHit again?"
"I'm not sure if that's possible unless you've spoken to, at least one or two members," Yoongi guessed.
"Yes. I have spoken to Jin and Namjoon," Valerie answered.
"My answer is no. I want to pursue my career as a basketball player. Plus, I'm planning to travel across the world to join other teams and meet up with my girlfriend," Yoongi explained while scratching on the side of his temples.
"Oh, that's great, then," Valerie said with a smile.
"Anyway, it was nice meeting you, Ms. Nown. I got to head back. I don't want to disappoint coach Milton," Yoongi said, pointing his thumb behind his back as he quickly got up to his spot and hopped down onto the floor. "See you!"
"Right. See you..." Valerie said faintly. Then she also stood up and exited the gym.
Around 9:30 pm at night, she arrived at the apartment and opened the door, only to find Bryan lying down on the couch with his fuzzy blanket wrapped around him.
"Here. Let me check," Valerie said as she approached him and placed her hand on his forehead, startling her in shock. "Damn your fever is getting high."
Bryan, on the other hand, asked sickly "So... did you talk to him?"
"Never mind that. We need to make sure you recover soon," Valerie said, raising her eyebrows in panic.
"I'll be fine. Trust me," Bryan mumbled.
Valerie walked over to the cabinet and pulled out the Neucetran box, then ripped off the package with the kitchen scissors as she dropped the contents on the medicine and poured hot water from the thermos. She also opened the cap of the bottle and headed over to his side. She held her hand out, saying. "Here. Drink this up."
Bryan sat up and took the pill and slipped the glass of water in a moderate swallow. Then, his eyes landed on the cup that was filled with a light yellow liquid curiously. "What is that?"
"It's a medicine drink with a lemon on it," Valerie described and chuckled. "Trust me, it's an effective cure for minor sickness, and non-drowsy."
Bryan queered for a moment and shrugged off. "Alrighty."
She held the cup towards him and watched him take a sip, then watch his eyes widened slightly in astonishment.
"Wow! This is good!" Bryan beamed and decided to chug down.
"Okay, okay, slow down," Valerie giggles in amusement "You don't want to choke."
"What? You told me to get well as fast as I can," Bryan pointed out.
Valerie scoffed lightly. "It doesn't mean that you will sporadically. It takes time."
Bryan nodded in agreement. "You're right." His lips formed into a smile as he gazed at her sincerely. "Thanks, Valerie."
"Your welcome," she said, patting his hand then stood up from kneeling and dropped her bag on the side of the rackets. "I'm going off to bed now."
"Alright. Goodnight," Bryan said with a smile as soon as Valerie turned the lights off the living room.440Please respect copyright.PENANAYBB7WoSh4m
