Chapter 13.
I wake up when my alarm goes off at 7.00AM. I sit up and unset my alarm and stretch knocking Hulk of the bed "sorry boy.” I laugh nervously before getting out of bed and walk towards the bathroom brushing my teeth. I hear my bedroom door open and see my grandma popping her head out the door "Misty?!” I smile and look over "I am in here!” She walks towards my and smiles "oh good your awake.” She looks and me and take a deep breath "your breakfast is ready.” I smile shaking my head sticking my toothbrush back "I am ok I will just grab something later.” My grandma smiles and raises her eyebrow "are you sure?” I smile and nod walking towards her "yeah.” She nods slowly and take a deep breath "alright then well still come down to the kitchen when you’re ready and we can all see you of and wish you luck on your first day ok?” I nod slowly and smile and she walks back out the bedroom closing the bedroom door behind her. I walk towards my chair and grab my clothes and shoes and take a deep breath looking at Hulk "let’s do this."
I run downstairs after I get ready with Hulk following behind me following me into the kitchen where my grandma is making pancakes and my grandpa is sitting at the dining table reading his newspaper eating the pancakes "morning.” My grandma sticks a plate of pancakes onto the table in front of an empty seat and looks at me smiling "you sure you don't want any?” I look at the plate and smile "why maybe just one.” I sit down and my grandma hands me a plate and sticks some pancakes on it and smiles "there you go sweetheart.” My grandpa sticks his newspaper down and looks at me smiling "you excited for school?” I look at him and nod "yeah.” I shrug and smile "a little nervously though.” I look around and spot my dad’s sheriffs jacket still hanging up "where’s my dad?” My grandpa points towards the back door without taking his eyes of his newspaper "outside on the phone.” I look at the kitchen back window and see my dad pacing up and down the back garden "he’s always on that phone.” My grandma grabs a jug of fresh orange juice from the fridge and sits down "tell me about it.” She grabs a glass from the middle of the table and pours some orange juice handing me it "you want some bacon? fruit?” I grab a pancake and smile "any syrup?” My grandma smiles and hands me some syrup from the middle of the table "thank you.” I take it and smile pouring it all over my pancakes. I spot a bowl of blueberries in the middle of the table and grab a handful and cut them in half before sticking them all around my pancakes grabbing my fork I look up and hear my grandpa sniggering and looking at me "what?” I look at him as he shakes his head slowly "you and your dad are so alike.” I smile and eat into my pancake "how come?” My grandma smiles and nods towards my pancake "you and your dad eat pancakes and even cuts blueberries the same way.” I look down at the plate and smile "I’ve always done it like this.” The back door opens and my dad walks in smiling "morning honey.” He walks over too me and kisses my head "you sleep ok?” I raise my eyebrows and nod "yeah.” He sits down and smiles "good.” I look at him and smirk "you?” He nods and smiles grabbing a pancake "yeah slept like a baby.” He looks at me and smirks and I sit forward "all night?” He looks around and laughs nervously "yes?” I nod slowly and smile "good.”
I sit back and eat the rest of my pancakes grabbing my phone and realising the time I shoot up and nod "shit It's 8 o'clock.” I run upstairs and come back down a few seconds later with my bag and jacket "you taking me too school?” My dad looks up and nods with a mouthful of pancake "ok.” He stands up and grabs a gift bag at the side of the table and walks towards me handing me it "well no.” I raise my eyebrows and take the bag "what?” He nods towards the bag and smirks "you can get yourself there.” I look inside the bag and see a pair of car keys "what?” I look at him and laugh nervously "what's this for?” My dad nods towards the front door and walks past me towards it "I will show you.” I follow him towards the door and he opens it and points towards the driveway where there’s a jeep sitting behind his car "that's for me?” I look at my dad and smirk "yeah.” My dad smiles and nods "while your here anyway.” I hug my dad and smile "thank you thank you thank you.” He laughs nervously and take a deep breath "so you like it?” I look back towards the car and smirk "like it? I love it.” I run towards the car and get into the driver side and my dad follows behind me smiling "good.” I close the door behind me and roll my window down and my dad smiles looking at the car "look after it.” I nod and smile "I will.” My dad nods slowly and steps back "good because It's not for keeps It’s only until your aunt Stacey's son Niall is away with the army.” I stick the keys in and smile "I will girl scouts honor."
The house door opens and Hulk runs out the door and jumps up the side of the car "hey boy I will see you soon ok?” He jumps down and sits beside my dad "I will take you out for a walk later okay?” He wags his tail and barks "good boy.” I nod before waving towards my dad rolling my window up as my grandpa walks out smiling and waving towards me. I drive out the driveway and wave towards my dad and grandpa as they stand on the front yard waving and smiling. When I get out of take a deep breath of the front lawn my grandpa take a deep breath and stops waving and faces my dad "so?” He laughs nervously and shrugs "best hope they Denver boys stay away from her and don’t cause trouble.” My dad turns towards my grandpa nodding and smiles rubbing my grandpa’s arm “don’t worry dad.” He smirks and take a deep breath "I’m sure they will stay away if they know what’s good for them.” My dad turns around and walks back inside leaving my grandpa on the front yard rubbing his arm nodding "you coming?” My grandpa turns around towards my dad standing at the front door and nods "yeah.” My grandpa stops rubbing his arm and walks towards the door before turning around towards the front yard "Hulk come!” Hulk runs over towards my grandpa and into the house and my grandpa closes the door behind him. The drive too school I took deep breathes the whole way and took a last deep breath when I see the school take a deep breath "I can do this.” I stop and park at the side of the pavement just outside the school car park entrance and take a deep breath grabbing onto my steering wheel tight "It's just another school It's just another school.” I look down at my feet and nod slowly "let’s do this.”
I look up and drive towards the car park and spot a welcome sign in the middle of the grass in front of the school building with the words 'Harper High' on it and a wolf at the side of it. I shake my head and smirk 'what's the deal with this town and wolfs?' I look at the busy car park and spot a space at the back right by the woods so drive around the car park and drive past two motorcycles parked up three spaces away from the empty space with the registration plates 'ED1' and 'GD2' I can’t help but smile as I drive past the motorbikes before parking. I grab my school bag and turn around to see Cody and his friends James and Andrew from the snooker club standing outside "god!” I jump in shock and smile rolling the window down "hey.” Cody smirks and licks his lips "sorry didn't mean to spook you.” I shake my head and laugh softly "no It's fine I just wasn't expecting to see yous so soon.” Cody smiles and leans over the car window "well I guess today is your lucky day.” He winks before standing up straight and opens the door and holds out his hand "you have not one but 3 personal tour guides.” I take his hand smile "your hand is really warm.” He smirks and I get out the car and he kisses my hand "welcome too Harper High.” I stand on the pavement and look towards the motorbikes next to my car “your brave parking next to them.” I look at Cody and see him and his friends laughing softly "why?” I look back at the motorbikes and James nods towards them "their riders are a bit weird.” He looks at the bikes and laughs "a bit?” I look at Andrew and shake my head "who owns them?” I look back at the bikes and see Cody shove James at the side of my eye and look at his and raise my eyebrows "the Denver twins.” Cody rolls his eyes and looks at me "they are not weird.” He looks at his bikes and shrugs "they are just a little strange.” He looks at me and nods "but their family is a big deal in this town.” He looks down at his feet and smirks "isn't your dad like friends with their dad?” I laugh softly and nod "yeah I think so?” I smile towards the motorcycles again before nodding slowly "shall we do this then?” I look at Cody and he smiles and nods "yeah.”403Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡJZ6ovz1fzE
