Chapter 4.
After half an hour I wake up by my head hitting against the car window. I open my eyes and look around "what happened?” My grandpa grips tight onto the steering wheel as the car starts spinning out of control in the middle of the road. My grandpa let’s go of the steering wheel and the car spins around before flipping over making us going unconscious. When I finally open my eyes again my head kills me and I can hear ringing noises. I rub my head and can feel the blood go onto my hand run down my arm. I look around and at the upside-down car in the middle of the road. I look at my back at my grandpa and nudge him panicking "grandpa?!” I shake his arm but he doesn’t move and is still unconscious with blood running down his face. I hold myself up while undoing my seatbelt and attempt to open my door but realise It's jammed. I looking around for something hard and spot a pair of binoculars in the back and grab them and smash it against the window. After the third hit the window finally smashes and I climb out the car window cutting my wrist with a slice of broken glass on the way out of the car window. I stand up and look down at my wrist and pull the glass out from my skin making blood go all over my jumper sleeve. I take my jumper of and grab a piece of glass and tear one of my sleeves of my jumper and wrap it around the cut too try stop the bleeding before running around too car towards my grandpa and bend down “grandpa?” I attempt to open the door before standing up and search for my phone. I spot my handbag by the window and run over to the passenger side and grab my handbag and get my phone before ringing my dad.
dad picks up after the fourth ring sounding cheery “hello sweetheart where are you?” I run back over too my grandpa and look around “dad! We have crashed and grandpa is still unconscious.” I hear my grandpa groan in pain so I kneel back down and see my grandpa open his eyes. I take a deep breath in relief and laugh softly “grandpa is waking up.” I look at my phone and raise my eyebrows "hello?” My dad take a deep breath and I hear a car door shut "I am on my way.” I look around and spot the border sign "ok we are by the towns border sign.” I stand up and walk away from the car “dad the car It's.” I look back towards the car and shake my head still trying to come to terms with it all “It's flipped over and grandpa is still stuck inside it so please hurry.” There is a pause and I hear sirens at the other end of the line “I am coming now sweetheart and the ambulance won’t be far behind me.” I look towards the border waiting to see the flashing lights "Stay with your grandpa and try keep him still and conscious ok?” I nod and take a deep breath “ok dad.” I hang up and run back towards my grandpa who is still awake and attempting to speak "Misty?” He looks at me and I smile softly “shh grandpa It's going to be ok dad is coming now with the ambulance okay?” He nods slowly and stops attempting to move and speak. I hear sirens approaching up so I stand up and see some sort of black bear beside the town sign standing showing Its teeth. It looks towards the town and runs back into the woods when the sirens get louder and the flashing lights appear.
I look back at my grandpa whose eyes are now closed again. I run towards my dad’s car when it stops and he runs towards my "Misty?!” He hugs me tight and looks at me up and down "are you ok?” I nod “I am fine but I don’t know about grandpa.” He looks behind me towards the car and nods "ok well you go get your wrist checked over and we will get your grandpa out.” A paramedic runs out the ambulance driver door and opens the back of it and nods towards me "this way Miss.” I walk towards the ambulance and the girl gets into the back of the ambulance grabbing a large bag and folds a seat down “come.” She nods towards the seat "sit and let me have a look at you.” I step into the ambulance and see more flashing lights and sirens coming from outside. I look out and see a fire engine and another police car show up “is my grandpa going to be ok?” I look at the woman and she smiles softly and nods “we will do everything we can to make sure George is ok.” I nod slowly and look towards the car again as the fire engine and cop car stop right next to my grandpa’s car. Two cops get out the police car with yellow tape and tape of the area while two fire fighters get out the fire engine and run towards the flipped car. The firemen walk towards my dad and start speaking and one of them run back towards the fire engine and grabs something heavy and runs back towards the car. "You do this?” I raise my eyebrows and look at the sleeve wrapped around my wrist and smile "yeah.” She starts too unwrapping the sleeve smiling "impressive.” I smile at her and nod "I learned it in school.” She nods and smiles "It's a good survival technic.” I look at her and she smiles grabbing a bandage from her First Aid Kit bag "I'm Angela.” I look at her and smile “I am Misty.” She nods towards my dad “Alex and Nadine's daughter?” I smile and nod "yeah.” I look towards my dad and smile "you know my mum?” She sticks the bandage around my wrist and smiles “yeah we went to college together.” She grabs the first Aid bag and sticks it at the side and stands up “that's you all done.” I look at my wrist and laugh softly "I didn’t even feel a thing.” She writes down on her notebook and I smile "what did you do?” She hands me the paper and smiles “butterfly stitches but don’t worry you can take them out yourself so you won’t need to come into hospital for it unless it starts to bleed badly ok?” I smile "so am I free to go?” She laughs softly and nods “of course.”
I stand up and walk towards the door and see my grandpa getting carried over "they got my grandpa out.” Angela walks over and spots my grandpa and runs back into the ambulance and grabs the First Aid bag. I run towards my grandpa’s side and my dad grabs my hand smiles "how you feeling?” Not taking my eyes of my grandpa I smile "I am ok.” I nod towards him and take a deep breath "how’s grandpa looking?” My dad smiles and nods "tough as old boots your grandpa.” I smile and take a deep breath "true.” My dad smiles and nods towards his car “go wait in the car while the paramedics check your grandpa over.” I smile and nod "ok.” I turn around and look back "keep me updated.” I turn back around and walk towards my dad’s car. Once I get too my dad’s car I freeze when I see the black looking beast I saw from earlier standing at the other side of my dad’s car in the trees looking right at me. I turn around and see my grandpa sitting up at the end of the ambulance getting his head checked over. I smile and turn back towards the car and look back towards the direction of the black beast before realising it had disappeared. I open the car door and shake my head before getting into the car. I close the door behind once I get in and look over towards the ambulance and see my dad walking towards me smiling. I open the car door and he take a deep breath “he’s going to be ok.” I look towards the ambulance and smile "oh thank god.” My dad smiles and nods "told you.” He looks at the ambulance and laughs "tough as old boots.” I look towards the ambulance and see my dad standing up facing Angela as she hands him a bag and a sheet of paper. I take a deep breath and nod "so can we finally go?” My dad laughs nervously “you’re not under arrest so yes you are free to go home.” I smile and nod “good I am hungry.” I look over and see my grandpa walking towards us "let’s go.”
My dad looks back and closes my side door and opens the passenger side and my grandpa gets in closing the door behind him. "How you feeling sweetheart?” I nod and smile "I am ok. How are you? everything ok?” My grandpa looks back and smiles "yeah just a few bumps and bruises nothing major.” I nod slowly and smile "good.” My dad gets into the car and take a deep breath "ready?” I smile softly and sit back "yes but can we stop for food on the way back?” My dad looks at me and shakes his head “your grandma has made your favourite.” He turns around and starts the engine and starts the car "I haven’t had chicken and garlic curry in so long.” My dad smiles and drives towards the border. After a few minutes of awkward silence my dad looks at my grandpa and laughs nervously "so?” My grandpa looks at my dad and smiles "what?” My dad looks in the rear-view mirror and nods "what happened?” I sit forward and shrug "I am not sure.” My grandpa looks out the window and take a deep breath "I saw a wolf in the middle of the road and I turned to avoid hitting it but lost control of the wheel.” My dad looks at my grandpa and raises his eyebrow and laughs "what?” He shakes his head and coughs "impossible.” I look out the window and take a deep breath "a black wolf?” My grandpa turns around and gasps "yeah.” My dad looks into the rear-view mirror and raises his eyebrow "did you see it?” I look at him and nod slowly "well.” I shrug and smile "I see it after I managed to get out the car.” I take a deep breath and sit back "it was standing at the border sign like it was.” I look at my dad and shake my head "waiting for something or someone.” My dad looks at the road and take a deep breath "I will get the animal patrol out too check the area.” I nod and smirk “now I think you owe grandpa an apology?” My dad take a deep breath and smiles at my grandpa “fine I am sorry for not believing you ok?” My grandpa nods slowly and turns too me smirking and mouths "thank you."
When we finally turn into my grandparents street I spot my grandma waiting for us on the front lawn holding a blanket pacing the driveway. When she finally spots us she looks towards the car and smiles. She stands by the driveway and waits for the car too stop before running over too my side door and opening it “Misty!” She hugs me as soon as I get my leg out the car. I stand up and hug her before grabbing my bag “hey Grandma.” She hands me the blanket and smiles “here you go honey.” She take a deep breath and shakes her head "I know you won’t be used to this cold weather so I got you a blanket in case you felt cold.” I take the blanket and laugh softly “thanks grandma.” I wrap it around me and smile "I love it.” She smiles and nods "good.” She wraps her arm around mine and nods towards the house “let’s get you inside.” We walk towards the house and she stops when we get too the door and turns around “Alex grab Misty's things and stick them in her room please.” My dad opens my grandpa’s door and laughs softly "her things are still in dad’s car so we won’t get it till tomorrow when the car gets too the garage.” My grandma turns to me and smiles “oh never mind sweetheart I'm sure I can find something for you to wear tonight and you can get stuff tomorrow when you go shopping.” I raise my eyebrows and smile “shopping?” She opens the front door and we walk into the black walled hallway and I smile looking around “nothing has changed from last time I see.” I look towards the kitchen and see a large German Sheppard dog running towards me barking “except that.” The dog jumps up me knocking me down and licks my face “hey buddy.” My grandma laughs softly and pulls the dogs collar “Hulk get off.” The dog runs back into the kitchen and my grandma holds her hand out “sorry about him.” I take her hand she pulls me up and I wipe myself down "that's alright.” I look towards the kitchen at the dog sitting by the door “he actually usually doesn’t take well too strangers as well.” The dog tilts his head before lying down still look at us.
My grandpa and dad walk in whispering but stop at the front door when they see us standing in the hallway "mom why don’t you show Misty her room?” My dad nods slowly and my grandma smiles and nods towards the stairs “good idea.” She walks up the stairs and smiles "this way.” I follow her up the stairs and she walks towards my dad’s room and opens the door “you can have you fathers old room since It's the biggest.” I walk in and smile "don't worry about the decoration you can change it if you don't like it.” I shake my head and look around "no It's fine I like red.” She nods slowly and smiles "I knew it was your favourite colour as a kid so I just don't it that colour for you.” I smile and hug her "I love it thank you.” She nods towards a door at the side of the room and smiles "the room has Its own bathroom too.” I walk towards the bathroom and smile "I remember how long dad take in the bathroom so thank you.” She smirks and nods "your welcome.” She closes the bathroom door and walks towards the hallway and looks back once she gets too the door “I will just grab you something to sleep in tonight ok?” I nod slowly and smile “thank you.” She smiles and heads out the door and down the hallway. I look around the room and pick up the photo frame on the bedside drawers of me and my grandparents outside a cabin “here you go my dear.” My grandma walks in holding a top and shorts "It's just old clothes I found of your mothers.” She looks at the photo frame and smiles "that was a good day.” I stick it down and take the clothes and place them on the bed "where was it?” She looks at me and smiles "emm.” She looks at the picture and smiles "not sure sorry.” She shakes her head and smiles "I am going to check on the curry but let me know if you need anything else ok?” I smile and nod “I will thank you grandma.” She looks at the photo frame before turning around and walking towards the door "I am really happy your here sweetheart.” She turns around when she gets too the door and smiles "me too.” She turns around and closes the door behind her.462Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡwqkAAjzcg8
