Chapter 31.
"Misty?!” Ethan runs in and looks around "what happened?” I stand up turn around too face him shaking my head "oh my god!” He walks towards me and runs his finger down my face "ow.” He moves his hand shakes his head "what happened?” He looks out the back door and I see his eyes go black "Ethan no!” He steps forward towards the door and I hold onto his hand "please don’t leave me!” He looks at the back door and the wolf disappears into the woods "dammit!” He shakes his head and walks towards the back of the kitchen punching a cupboard door making it come of "stop.” His hand bleeds "look what you done now.” I shake my head and go into the cupboard grabbing a first Aid kit “let me have a look at this.” He shake my head “I am fine.” He looks at me and take a deep breath "I am sorry!” His eyes turn back too blue and I shake my head and grab his face "you have nothing to be sorry for so stop saying it.” He looks at the scratch on my face and kisses it "I’m such a screw up!” He shakes his head and looks down "I’m never there too protect you.” I shake my head and pull his face up “hey!” He looks at me and I smile "It's not your fault so stop beating yourself up so much ok? I’m fine and if you wasn’t here then it could have been a lot worse. It's not your job to protect me.” He smiles and kisses me “I love you so I am always going to protect you.” I smile and hug him “I love you too but It's not so don't beat yourself up about it.” He smirks and take my hand “come with me.” He walks into the living room and pulls a painting of Ethan. Grayson and Cameron of the wall and turns it over and gets a key that’s taped at the back of the painting “what's that for?” He smiles and take my hand “It's for the door on the second floor.” He leads me upstairs and sticks the key into the door on the second floor “this door hasn’t been opened in about 100 years.” He unlocks the door and pushes’ it open “ready?” I nod and smile and he take my hand walks up the second flight of stairs and onto the second-floor hallway.
I look around and shake my head "It's the same as what it was in my dream.” I look towards the door for the museum "this is the room I seen?” Ethan opens the door and I walk in and look around "It's the exact same.” Ethan walks in and looks around smiling “I’ve not been in this room since I was 13 so It's a little weird.” He shakes his head and walks towards me "what else do you remember?” I look around and see the case with the wooden arrows “I remember these but then Jaiden done this.” I walk towards the case and feel for the button under the case and press it and step back but it doesn’t do anything “what's it meant to do?” I shake my head and take a deep breath “It's meant too.” The case moves and the wooden arrows go down and Ethan shakes his head and laughs nervously “unbelievable.”
I look at him and smile “weird right?” The iron arrows come up and I point to the one with the red point “if I stick my blood on the point and shoot the black daemon with it.” I look at Ethan and smile "it will kill it.” He shakes his head and smiles “how do you know?” I smile and nod towards it “your uncle Jaiden told me.” I shrug and take a deep breath "I don’t think he knew I was the Red Shield but he knew there was something special about me and was happy to show me around.” Ethan smiles and hugs me "you are pretty special and even my family back then loved you.” I laugh nervously and look down “not all of them.” I shake my head and smirk "Nicolas didn’t seem too like me at the start but he came around when he knew what I was.” Ethan shakes his head “Nicolas found out?” I nod “yeah. I cut myself on a piece of glass and Nicolas helped me clean it up and I’m guessing he knew from my blood.” Ethan looks at the red arrow and opens the case and take it out “may I?” He looks at my arm and smiles "yeah.” I nod and smile holding my arm out.
He smiles and gently pierces the arrow into my arm and rubs it against the blood as it runs down my arm “you ok?” I nod my head smile "yeah I am fine.” I watch the red point suck in my blood and turn blue “wow.” I jump when I hear a loud bang and Ethan looks towards the door “what was that?” Ethan hands me the arrow and shakes his head "I don't know.” He runs towards the door and down the stairs “Ethan?!” I run down the hallway towards the stairs after him but he’s a lot faster than me and the time I am by the stairs he’s down them all and in the kitchen.
I walk along the first-floor hallway and walk towards the red guest room "hey!” I look down the hallway and see Ethan walking towards me “what you doing?” I nod towards the room and shrug "this is where I slept in that dream.” He looks at the door and grabs the lock “it was Uncle Jaiden guest bedroom.” I shake my head and laugh softly "whys it locked?” He shrugs and sticks the lock down “uncle Jaiden was a private person.” He smiles and holds his hand out "come on.” I take his hand walk towards his room closing the door behind him. He runs over towards the window closing the curtains "turn the light on.” I turn the light on and he runs towards his cupboard and opens it grabbing a sports bag at the back of the cupboard “give me the arrow.” I walk towards him and hand him the arrow "what's in the bag?” He sticks the arrow in his bag and sticks it back in his cupboard “stuff.” He stands up and walks towards the door "stay here.” I take a deep breath and shake my head "I will be back in a minute, I promise.” I sit on the bed and nod "ok.” He opens the door and walks out it closing it behind him.
I shake my head and lie back on the bed "god.” After a few seconds I hear a whisper coming from the cupboard so I sit up and look over towards it and shake my head. The whisper gets louder so I stand up and walk towards the cupboard and open the door and see the black sports bag Ethan stuck it in at the bottom of the cupboard under a bunch of clothes. I move the clothes and grab the bag and place it on the bed opening it. I see the blue arrow along with 4 red arrows in the bag and a crossbow "what?” I hear footsteps approach so I quickly stick the bag back in the cupboard and see a white silk napkin. I look towards the door and quickly grab it and stick it back into my pocket and run back towards the bed and sit down. The door opens and Ethan walks in “now can you tell me what's going on?” He shakes his head and take a deep breath "sorry.” He sits down and smiles "the arrows are a pack and they won’t work unless they are altogether and the werewolf is shot with all of them. My dad’s been looking for the last arrow for years but could never find it because it was here the whole time.” I see his eyes go black so I touch his hand smile and they go blue again “you have them now though so what's the problem?” He stands up and starts pacing the room "uncle Jaiden is the problem.”
His muscles go tense and his eyes go black again “uncle Jaiden betrayed us.” He take a deep breath and shakes his head "his own family.” He punches the wall but it doesn't leave a mark on it "hey!” I stand up and touch his arm but he snaps at me pushing me away making me fall onto the “Misty I’m so sorry.” His eyes go back too blue and he sits on the bed holding my hand “are you ok?” I smile and nod “I’m fine but don’t get so worked up about it.” I laugh softly and shrug "my family lied to me about what I was for years.” Ethan laughs nervously and shakes his head “that wasn't the only thing uncle Jaiden done.” He take a deep breath and smiles softly "he killed my mum.” I raise my eyebrows and shake my head "wow.” I lean into his chest and smile “I’m sorry.” He kisses the top of my head and smiles “It's not your fault."
I sit up and smile "so what happened?” He shrugs and lies back “I’m not sure what the full story is but one-night mum and uncle Jaiden where arguing about something and she ran off into the woods when it got heated and Jaiden ran after her.” I lean down next to him and hold his hand "me and Grayson watched from the window as they disappeared into the woods and a few minutes later we heard a loud howl so we ran into the direction they went too and we saw my mums body lying on the ground with the fake necklace in her hand a note in her jacket pocket.” I sit up and smile “was it the silk napkin that was in the cupboard?” He raises his eyebrows and sits up “what note?” I laugh nervously and grab the silk napkin from my jacket pocket and hand him it "this.” He reads it and shakes his head “I’ve never seen this before.” He shakes his head “it was in there?” He points towards the cupboard and I nod “yeah.” He stands up and walks towards it searching it "there’s nothing else in here.” He feels the top of the cupboard and looks at me and smirks "can I?” I raise my eyebrows and laugh nervously "can you what?” He nods towards the top of the cupboard "life you so you can check if there is anything on top?” I laugh nervously and nod “sure just don’t drop me ok?” He smiles and shakes his head “never.” I walk towards him and he sticks me on top of his shoulders and I look on top of the cupboard "just dust.” I blow the dirt and spot something at the back "wait I see something.” I reach over and grab it "got it!"
Ethan sticks me down and take a deep breath "what is it?” I dust it down and shrug "I am not sure.” I wipe my T-shirt over it and clean it and see a small button "It's a box I think.” I press the button and it opens. I see a note and a picture inside it and hand them too Ethan "I’ve never seen these before.” He laughs nervously "this family has too many secrets.” He walk towards the bed and sit down taking the picture out "that's me Grayson and Cameron.” I walk towards the bed and sit next looking at the picture and see the same picture I found in the jewelry box in the dream "but I don't know who that it.” He points towards the other little boy and shakes his head "It's Caleb.” He turns the picture over and looks at me "how did you know that?” I take a deep breath and smile "It's the same picture I seen in my dream." 400Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡq4l5tvrjKB
