Chapter 3.
After a few minutes I feel the plane move and I look up and see an air hostess walk down "excuse me?” She looks at me and smiles "yes Miss?” I nod towards the food cart and smile "can I have a bottle of water please?” She nods slowly and smiles "of course I will bring it over.” She walks down to the front of the plane and I watch her and spot someone in a black hoody in the front row of the plane. I freeze and shake my head "you have got too be kidding me.” I stick my earphones back in and read the rest of my book. After another page the air hostess comes back and hands me a bottle of water "this one is on the gentlemen in the front row.” I look at the front of the plane and see the man in the black hood smiling at me still hiding his face. I raise my eyebrows and laugh nervously "who is it?” I turn back to the air hostess but she is already halfway up the plane so I stand up and the seat belt sign comes on "typical.” I sit down and look at the man in the front and he turns around and I shake my head and stick my seat belt on turning back to my book. I stick my book down and shake my head "this is ridiculous.” I stick the book back in my bag and slide the window up and see it pouring down in ran "of course It's raining.” I close the window shutter and shiver “I really aren’t a rain kind of girl."
“Ladies and gentlemen this is your pilot speaking.” I open the shutter and see us approaching the runway "we are just about too land I would like to thank you for flying with us and I hope you had a pleasant flight and have a safe journey too wherever you are going.” I smirk looking out the window when the plane finally lands “finally I can get some True Treats candy and it isn’t even my birthday.” The plane finally stops and I stand up quickly and grab my bag too get too the man in front but everyone stands up at the same time. I see the man get off the plane and I take a deep breath and sit back down waiting for the queue in front of me to go down. I head towards the exit door yawning “have a nice day Miss.” I look at the pilot and laugh nervously "thank you.” He smiles and nods "you too.” I get off the plane and run into the airport after the man in the black hoody. I run towards the luggage collection and look around but he is nowhere to be seen so I wait for my case and check my phone and see a missed call from my mum so I try ring her back "voicemail typical.” I shake my head and spot my suit so I grab it and head towards the exit and decide to ring Joe who answers after the third ring “hey babe.” I smile at the sound of his voice “hey you!” I smirk and take a deep breath "so what you doing?” I hear people laughing in the background and a door slamming shut “I have the team over and Kyle is back from college for a few weeks so we are having a little party.” I laugh nervously and raise me eyebrows “little?” He laughs awkwardly and runs his hand through his hair “ok big.” I spot my grandpa standing at the pickup meeting point and I smile "I got to go Joe my grandpa is here but I will text or call you when I get back to the house ok?” He nods and smiles "okay babe I love you.” I smile embarrassed and nod "I love you too.”
I hang up and stick my phone back into my pocket. " Was that your dad?” I smirk and shake my head "no.” He raises his eyebrow and I take a deep breath "boyfriend.” He nods slowly and smiles "I am just messing with you sweetheart your dad told us all about your boyfriend.” I look around and smile "where is dad?” He smiles and nods towards the car park "work.” I roll my eyes and take a deep breath "you’re a better driver anyway.” I yawn and he nods towards the coffee shop "you want to grab a coffee?” I smile and nod "yeah but I need the loo first so wait for me here?” He nods and smiles "ok sweetheart.” I look around and walk towards the toilet sign. When I reach the bathroom I see the man in the black hoody standing down the hall looking at me. After I get closer to him he walks towards the lift and disappears in it when I get close but I still couldn't make out the face. I run towards the lift but it closes before I could get it. I walk towards the bathroom and splash some cold water onto my face before doing a pee and heading back towards my grandpa who is holding two coffees already "here you go sweetheart.” I take the coffee and smile "how did you know what I liked?” He smiles and nods "the same as your dad? black.” I smirk and nod "correct.” He grabs my suitcase and nods towards the car park "let’s go.”
I follow behind him looking around me for the black hooded man the full way through the airport and car park but he was nowhere to be seen. When we get into the car my grandpa take a deep breath "so?” He looks at me and nods "who was you looking for back there?” I stick my belt on and try avoiding eye contact "oh just someone who got me a bottle of water on the plane.” He starts the car and nods "ok then.” I sit back and take a deep breath in relief and grab my handbag. "I'm just going to read the rest of the book I started to try stay away if that's ok?” He looks at the book and smirks "go ahead.” I open the book and he smiles "I can’t believe you still have that book.” I look at it and smile "you gave me this?” He nods slowly and smiles "yeah me and your grandma got you it for your 10th birthday.” I laugh nervously and turn back to the book “well I just started reading it today.” I show him the few pages left and smile “I am nearly done actually.” He looks at it and smiles "just a shame I couldn't get a hold of the other ones.” I raise my eyebrows still reading into the book "there’s others?” He nods and smiles "yeah but I couldn't find them in any bookstore.” I look up and smile “I can check online now if you want?” He shakes his head and smirks “read the rest of that first and you can check when we get too the house.” I nod and smile continuing reading the book. After I finally finish the book I yawn and stick it back in my bag before looking up and noticing the sky had turned dark “you would think I read 5 chapters and not 5 pages.” I laugh nervously and look up at the sky "when did it get so dark?” My grandpa laughs and nods too the clock “about 10 minutes ago.” He smiles and shrugs "it gets dark here quickly in Autumn.” I rub my eyes and yawn and my grandpa smiles gently “why don’t you get some rest?
